Your Job
As a Cloud Engineer / Cloud Native Engineer, you will be part of the GRD Infrastructure Operations Team, supporting and evolving Guardian's cloud ecosystem with a primary focus on AWS and Cloud Native technologies. You will play a key role in governing cloud services, enabling modern application architectures, and driving the adoption of scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions across the organization.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with infrastructure, architecture, and application teams to build and maintain cloud platforms that empower teams to deliver business value faster. You will also help advance our Cloud Native strategy through platform engineering, automation, and knowledge sharing.

Our Team

The GRD Infrastructure Operations Team is responsible for the governance, support, and continuous improvement of Guardian's cloud environments and cloud-native platforms. We provide expertise and operational support for AWS services while enabling development teams to leverage modern technologies such as Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code, and GitOps.

What You Will Do

• Manage and optimize AWS cloud services and Kubernetes platforms (EKS/RKE2).
• Maintain and enhance Cloud Native tools including Rancher, ArgoCD, Terraform, and GitLab.
• Design, automate, and support infrastructure deployments using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Partner with Architecture and Engineering teams to implement scalable and secure cloud-native solutions.
• Promote cloud governance and best practices related to security, IAM, performance, availability, and cost optimization.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services such as EKS, IAM, Lambda, and other core cloud technologies.
• Proven experience deploying and managing Kubernetes workloads in production environments.
• Strong Linux administration skills.
• Experience with Terraform, Rancher, ArgoCD, and CI/CD practices.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical teams and share knowledge effectively.

What Will Put You Ahead

• Experience administering GitLab environments and governance.
• Knowledge of workload identity solutions such as EKS Pod Identity.
• AWS and/or Kubernetes certifications.
• Experience with Cloud Native architectures, DevOps automation, and containerized applications.
• Passion for emerging technologies and continuous learning.
