Join IMBA as an Infrastructure Security Engineer (Security / Hardening / SIEM) to drive security improvements across its infrastructure. The role works across platforms and services to strengthen the institute’s security posture, with a focus on hardening, security monitoring and SIEM, vulnerability follow-up, and the ongoing development of operational security standards. The role suits someone who likes working broadly across infrastructure, cloud, platforms, and services rather than being tied to a single technology stack.
Responsibilities
- Drive and coordinate infrastructure security initiatives across the environment
- Develop and maintain hardening standards and operational security baselines
- Support vulnerability follow-up, remediation tracking, and prioritization
- Own SIEM topics such as log onboarding, visibility, alerting, and use case development
- Support security monitoring, detection, and incident triage
- Review infrastructure patterns, services, and technical changes from a security angle
- Work with infrastructure and application teams to put practical security improvements in place
- Help strengthen security across Linux, containers, cloud, identity, and services
Your profile
Required:
- Experience in infrastructure, platform, or operational security
- Good understanding of hardening across Linux, cloud, or hybrid environments
- Experience with SIEM, logging, alerting, or detection engineering
- Experience with vulnerability management and remediation
- Strong analytical skills, able to work across teams and technical domains
- Pragmatic, structured approach to security improvements
- Good communication skills, able to translate security requirements into concrete measures
Preferred:
- Experience with container, Kubernetes, or OpenShift security
- Familiarity with identity and access security
- Experience with incident handling or security operations
- Experience with compliance-oriented baselines and controls
- Experience in a mixed on-prem and cloud environment

- An annual gross salary starting from € 65,000 (approx. € 4,643 gross per month, paid 14 times a year), with a willingness to pay more depending on your professional qualification and experience.
