One purchase, split into a set number of card payments. The parts add up to the price exactly, and work starts as soon as the first one clears — not after the last.
We count the parts in cups of coffee, $7.00 a cup. It is not a gimmick: a weekly amount is easier to judge against a week than against a total.
- How many parts can I split it into?
- You choose, within what the price allows. The arithmetic sets the range: every part has to be at least $30.00 and at most $115.00, so a $90.00 order splits into two and a $1290.00 one into as many as twelve. The exact choices appear on the order itself.
- Why is there a minimum and a maximum for a part?
- Below $30.00 the fixed part of the card fee eats a visible share of the payment, and a list of thirty small charges stops reading as a schedule and starts reading as a debt. Above $115.00 the split stops helping — that is close to paying at once.
- Does it cost more?
- No. No interest, no fee, no charge of any kind for paying this way. The parts add up to the price of the order exactly, to the cent. The first part is the largest because it carries what does not divide evenly.
- When does the work start?
- As soon as the first part clears. The work is then delivered in full — not in proportion to what has been paid — and the remaining parts stay owed after it is done.
- What happens if a payment does not go through?
- We retry it and write to you, once for that payment rather than once per attempt. You can change the card at any time, and usually that is all it takes. A part still unpaid 14 days after its date is overdue: from then we may ask you for the balance directly and stop taking the rest automatically. Nothing is added on that day or any other — no interest, no late fee, no charge for a failed payment. What you owe is the unpaid part of the agreed price and it never grows beyond it.
- Can I pay the rest off early?
- Yes, at any time, from the order page. It costs nothing extra and takes nothing away: the price is the same.
- Why does a discount not apply when I pay in parts?
- Because paying in full is the condition of the discount, not a bonus on top of it. Nothing is taken away from you — the parts come to the same price the order has without a discount.
- Who keeps my card?
- Stripe does. We never see or store the card number; the payments run against a token Stripe holds. Changing the card goes through Stripe’s own page, not ours.
- Is it available everywhere?
- Not yet. The number of parts a country allows is set by its own rules on paying by instalments, and we only offer it where we have looked at those rules. Where we have not, the order is paid in full, at the same price. What applies to you shows up on the order itself.
