Role description

About the project

We are looking for Cloud Backend Engineers (.NET / AWS) to join our engineering teams and contribute to impactful solutions for a global client in the children’s entertainment and digital experiences space.

In this role, you’ll work on a cloud-based System of Record that manages some of the client’s most valuable digital assets. The platform serves multiple internal product teams and powers a wide range of digital products and experiences, from tools used by designers to large-scale interactive applications.

This is an excellent opportunity for engineers who enjoy solving complex backend challenges, working in a modern cloud-native environment, and contributing to products that inspire creativity, learning, and play.

Responsibilities

  • Build scalable, secure, and reusable backend applications and services, with a strong focus on quality, reliability, and performance.
  • Contribute to business-critical platforms and implement end-to-end improvements across backend services and cloud infrastructure.
  • Collaborate closely with other engineers through pair programming, knowledge sharing, and technical discussions.
  • Demonstrate curiosity about customer needs and actively contribute to growing domain knowledge within the team.
  • Work in an environment that embraces AI-assisted and agentic software development.

Requirements

  • Strong experience developing backend applications using C# / .NET.
  • Hands-on experience designing and building applications on AWS.
  • Solid experience with Infrastructure as Code, ideally using Terraform.
  • Good understanding of DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices, including observability, monitoring, alerting, and incident response.
  • Experience designing and integrating authentication and authorization solutions using OAuth 2.0.
  • Good understanding of distributed systems, eventual consistency, and failure handling patterns.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, including Docker multi-stage builds, GitHub Actions, and automated testing.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with agentic systems and an interest in AI-assisted software development.
  • Experience working with message brokers and event-driven architectures; experience with Apache Pulsar is a strong advantage.
