Cloud Infrastructure Engineer (Azure)

Responsibilities

• Platform Engineering:
  Building and operating a cloud-native streaming data platform on Azure (Kafka, Kubernetes, GitOps)
• Pipeline Engineering:
  Design and implement CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and ArgoCD to ensure reliable, automated deployments across multiple environments.
• Infrastructure as Code Management
  : Develop and maintain cloud infrastructure automation using Terraform. Ensure all infrastructure is version-controlled, scalable, and adheres to enterprise standards.
• Security and Compliance Implementation
  : Design and enforce secure cloud architectures utilizing managed identities, least-privilege access principles, and compliant integration patterns to maintain robust security postures.
• Platform Operations and Optimization
  : Operate and optimize Azure environments for performance, cost efficiency, and high availability. Monitoring using OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, Azure Monitor / Log Analytics workspaces / AppInsights.
• Network Solutions and Connectivity
  : Design and support comprehensive Azure networking infrastructure including DNS management, Private Endpoints, Private Link configurations, and VPN connectivity solutions.
• Cross-Team Collaboration and Enablement
  : Partner closely with development teams, customers, and vendors to facilitate application integrations, coordinate system changes, and resolve complex technical challenges.
• Consulting and Strategy
  : Drive security initiatives, compliance programs, and continuous improvement efforts while serving as a technical consultant across cloud infrastructure and platform topics.

Qualifications

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in CS, Engineering, IT, or a related field.
• Very good English and Polish level. German language skills would be a plus.
• Experience designing and operating scalable, reliable cloud platforms on Microsoft Azure. Strong background in Azure infrastructure, networking, and security for enterprise platform environments.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD automation. Experience in Terraform is essential; Terragrunt would be a plus.
• Experience with containerization technologies, cloud-native deployment patterns, and Kubernetes (AKS).
• Experience with Kafka is required; familiarity with Apache Flink and Java is nice to have.
• Availability to work in a hybrid mode with at least 1 visit to the office per month.
