Company Description

TuoTempo, part of the Docplanner group since 2019, develops the market-leading CRM solution dedicated to hospitals, medical centers, and health insurance providers. The platform manages and automates the entire patient journey, from the first request to follow-up, centralizing contacts, communications, and processes in a single modular system integrated with the software already used by the organization.

Active in Italy, Spain, Mexico, Colombia, Brazil, and Chile, TuoTempo operates with a clear goal: to revolutionize interactions between healthcare organizations and patients, improve efficiency, reduce costs, and increase staff and patient satisfaction.

Full Stack Engineer

We're looking for a Full Stack Engineer to help build and evolve the products used every day by thousands of clinics and millions of patients. You'll own product features end-to-end, from backend logic to the interface the user actually touches.

Our frontend is built in React and TypeScript; our backend runs in PHP today and is evolving toward a modern, microservices-based architecture, with AI at the core of how we build. You'll start by delivering features on our existing product, get a deep understanding of it, and help shape where our stack goes next.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain product features end-to-end, across frontend and backend.
  • Deliver features on our current PHP backend and contribute to its evolution toward a modern, microservices-based architecture.
  • Build user-facing interfaces in React and TypeScript.
  • Write clean, well-tested code (unit, integration, end-to-end) and take part in code reviews.
  • Make the most of modern AI tooling in your day-to-day development.
  • Work closely with product managers, designers, and QA to ship and monitor features in production.

What to Expect in Your Journey With Us

Your First Month:

  • Set up your development environment and get access to our systems.
  • Participate in onboarding sessions.
  • Start exploring our product and getting to know the team.
  • Get comfortable with our workflows and development practices.

After the second Month:

  • Develop, test, and deploy your first feature to production.
  • Monitor how your feature performs and start building a feel for our product metrics.
  • Have a solid understanding of the product across the full stack.
  • Deliver a steady stream of features to production, owning them end-to-end.
  • Start spotting opportunities for improvement and bringing your own proposals to the table.

Qualifications

Must-have:

  • Degree in Computer Science or a related field (e.g., Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or similar)
  • Fluency in Italian (spoken and written)
  • Good knowledge of English (spoken and written)
  • 3+ years building and shipping web applications.
  • Solid experience with modern frontend architecture (preferred React and TypeScript).
  • Solid backend skills. PHP or TypeScript experience is highly valued, but we also welcome candidates with solid backend experience in other languages (e.g. Java, C#, Go, Rust) who are eager and comfortable working with PHP.
  • Good command of SQL databases.
  • Experience with automated testing.
  • Comfortable working across the full stack.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience with microservice / distributed-system architectures.
  • Previous work migrating legacy systems to modern stacks.
  • Experience with Docker and cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
  • Experience in SaaS, multi-tenant, or healthcare/regulated domains.

What we offer:

We value a healthy work-life balance and long-term growth. Benefits vary by location, but here’s what you can expect:

Shared benefits

  • 100% remote work, with the option to join our offices in Bologna or Barcelona
  • One extra day off for your birthday
  • Access to iFeel – our mental wellbeing platform

Italy-specific

  • €8/day meal vouchers – lunch is covered if you're in the Bologna office
  • Private health coverage via Metasalute
  • Access to study in action platform

How does the recruitment process work?

  • Online test – online async exercise to get a first sense of your tech skills.
  • HR interview – a friendly chat to get to know you, your motivations, and tell you more about Tuotempo, our culture, and the team (1 hour).
  • Technical interview – with our Tech Managers, including practical exercises to evaluate your approach and problem-solving skills as a developer (1.5 hours).
  • Final interview — a broader conversation to align on expectations and future growth. If it’s a match, we’ll move forward with the offer!
