Job Summary
As a Process Integration Engineer, you will coordinate the introduction and integration of new products, processes, and tools into our semiconductor manufacturing lines.
Working closely with research and development, process engineering, product engineering, manufacturing, and information technology teams, you will develop and optimize complete process flows and manufacturing run sheets. You will assess how individual fabrication steps interact, investigate process issues, and provide technical guidance to ensure products can be successfully fabricated and transferred into production.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate with R&D, engineering, manufacturing, and information technology teams to implement and integrate new products, processes, and tools within manufacturing line control systems
- Develop and maintain complete process flows, manufacturing run sheets, and process recipes in collaboration with process engineers and R&D teams
- Assess existing process capabilities and constraints across the full manufacturing flow and propose solutions in collaboration with Process Engineering, Product Engineering, and R&D
- Determine critical process parameters and conduct optimization experiments to improve yield, throughput, and cycle times
- Inspect and analyze wafers and products throughout the manufacturing process to understand the interdependencies between fabrication steps
- Set up new process flows and experiments for R&D activities and product optimization, providing guidance on appropriate engineering treatments
- Troubleshoot issues affecting R&D and production wafers and investigate complex problems across the manufacturing process
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Photonics, Microsystems Engineering, or a related technical field
- At least three to five years of relevant professional experience in semiconductor process engineering, process integration, wafer fabrication, or a related field
- Experience working within a cleanroom or semiconductor manufacturing environment
Additional Skills & Requirements
- Comprehensive knowledge of semiconductor processes and process flows across different manufacturing stages, with a focus on front end wafer fabrication
- Knowledge of GaAs and InP material systems and related semiconductor activities, including epitaxy, testing, and assembly
- Experience in one or more of the following areas: mask design, simulations, or optics
- Experience using databases and Python for process analysis or manufacturing applications is preferred
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to assess process data, investigate issues, and make fact based decisions
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to provide technical guidance across engineering, manufacturing, and R&D teams
- Fluent written and spoken English. German language skills are advantageous
