We’re looking for a talented Senior Backend Engineer to join a fast-growing gaming startup building ambitious new products for the international market. This is a unique opportunity to work with a highly creative team, influence key technical decisions, and help shape the core systems behind an upcoming game.
We offer flexible cooperation models - full-time, part-time or freelance - with remote opportunities from Spain or Slovakia.

Requirements
- 5+ years of backend development experience
- Strong knowledge of Java, C++ or C
- Experience designing scalable backend architectures
- Solid understanding of database management and server performance optimization
- Strong English communication skills
- Creativity, autonomy and a problem-solving mindset
- Valid work permit in Spain or Slovakia
- Experience in game development is a plus
Responsibilities
✔️ Develop and maintain server-side systems for game features and tools
✔️ Design and implement scalable and secure backend architectures
✔️ Optimize server performance and ensure seamless integration with client-side systems
✔️ Work with databases and ensure consistent data integrity
✔️ Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve backend issues efficiently
✔️ Collaborate closely with gameplay developers, designers and DevOps engineers
✔️ Ensure backend systems remain stable under heavy load and high traffic
