In Prague, we are actively seeking a professional to strengthen our team dedicated to database engineering and data integration.

This is you

• Advanced PL/SQL knowledge: Ability to write complex PL/SQL procedures, functions, trigger logic, and packages.
• Experience with query performance optimization and performance problem analysis.
• Ability to communicate from the database using web services, ensuring database integration with external systems.
• Knowledge of relational databases (especially Oracle), database schema design, data normalization, indexing, and working with data types.
• Advanced skills in writing SQL queries (JOIN, aggregation, subqueries) and optimizing queries for fast performance.
• Experience with integrating SQL queries and database operations with external systems via APIs, web services, or file imports.
• Experience using PL/SQL Developer to effectively develop, debug, and manage database objects and scripts.
• Support for integrating PL/SQL code with external applications or systems via API or file operations.
• Ability to effectively use GIT for code version control and team collaboration, including branching, merging, and conflict resolution.
• Experience with administering and using Linux and Unix for common administrative tasks, scripting, file, process, and user management.
• Ability to work with the shell and basic system administration tools.
• Ability to quickly navigate client business processes, especially in the pension company sector.
• Openness to learning the client's specific needs and requirements and applying them to technical solutions that support their business.

This is your role

• Design, develop, and maintain PL/SQL procedures, functions, and packages to support the client's business processes.
• Design and maintain relational database schemas (Oracle), ensuring proper normalization, indexing, and data type usage.
• Build file import/export processes, automating data integration with external systems.
• Develop integrations between the database and external systems via APIs, web services (REST/SOAP), or file exchange.
• Use PL/SQL Developer to develop, debug, and manage database objects and scripts.
• Manage code versioning through GIT, collaborating with the team on branching, merging, and conflict resolution.
• Perform basic Linux/Unix administrative tasks (scripting, file, process, and user management) as needed to support integrations.
• Collaborate with the client's business and technical teams to understand their processes and specific needs within the pension company sector, translating them into technical solutions.
• Document processes, scripts, and developed solutions to ensure maintainability and knowledge transfer.
• Support basic Oracle database administration tasks (backup, data recovery, performance monitoring) as required.
• Participate in troubleshooting database and integration-related issues, collaborating with other technical teams.
