The role

As an Advanced Data Engineer, you are a key player in designing, implementing, and maintaining data pipelines. You work closely with clients to understand their data needs and realise tailored solutions that drive business insights. Your technical expertise and strong methodology help you bring your projects and clients to success.

How You’ll Make An Impact

  • Being a trusted advisor, guiding our customers towards a successful technical solution to their data challenges.
  • Communicating the “what”, “why” and “how” of proposed solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Developing, testing, and monitoring distributed data processing pipelines.
  • Extrapolating versatile data sets and sources to produce high quality, reproducible datasets in a scalable and maintainable way.
  • Collaborating with other data roles such as Architects, Software Engineers, and Data Scientists with ease.
  • Understanding the needs of many types of producers and consumers for our data services, ensuring our products meet their requirements.
  • Delivering projects in an Agile way, building iteratively to produce value from data early and frequently.
  • Keeping yourself technically sharp, being open to learning new concepts and technologies.

What’s Important To Us

  • You have a university degree (ETH, Uni, FH) in computer science, software engineering, data science, or a comparable education.
  • At least 3 years in data or software engineering positions
  • Experience in designing, building, and maintaining data products that meet the needs of data consumers.
  • An understanding of common approaches to data analysis, data visualization, and optionally data science so you can produce the right data for data consumers.
  • Experience with a variety of approaches to data architectures (e.g. Data Lake, Data Lakehouse, Medallion, Data Products, streaming, batch processing)
  • Experience with Cloud Data Platforms like Databricks, Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric or Amazon Sagemaker.
  • Practical data programming skills in Python and SQL.
  • Hands-on skills or a keen interest in such technologies as Apache Spark, Delta Lake, Airflow, Kafka, Kubernetes, Terraform, FastAPI, and programming languages (Scala, R, Java, Typescript or .NET).
  • Hands-on experience with both relational and non-relational databases.
  • Familiarity with big data infrastructures and concepts for storing and processing large and/or heterogeneous data volumes.
  • Practical knowledge of handling varied types of structured and unstructured data (text, tabular, graph, time-series, geospatial, image, etc.).
  • Experience with agile development and DevOps methodologies.
  • Fluency in both German and English is required for this position.

Job Summary:
In this role, you'll apply your expertise to help train next-generation AI systems. Your work will shape how models learn, reason, and perform through high-quality, real-world input. No prior experience in AI is required — your domain knowledge is what matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth data analysis using Microsoft Excel to extract actionable insights and support decision-making across teams.
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into meaningful analyses.
  • Review, clean, and validate datasets to ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity.
  • Develop clear, concise reports and visualizations to communicate findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities in complex datasets, contributing to strategic initiatives.
  • Document methodologies, results, and recommendations with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Contribute expertise to enhance data-driven decision-making processes within the customer's team.

Required Skills And Qualifications

  • Proven experience performing data analysis in a business environment using Microsoft Excel as the primary tool.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data processing and reporting.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate analytical findings.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across teams to drive business outcomes.
  • Solid understanding of Excel functions, formulas, and data visualization tools.
  • Proficiency in identifying data inconsistencies and implementing corrective measures.
  • Experience working in fast-paced, data-driven organizations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting cross-functional teams with data insights to inform business strategy.
  • Background in presenting analytical outcomes to diverse audiences.

  • analiza telemetrycznych danych time-series z urządzeń edge,
  • praca z metrykami w środowisku Prometheus / VictoriaMetrics,
  • tworzenie i optymalizacja zapytań PromQL / MetricsQL,
  • wykrywanie anomalii, regresji i zmian po wdrożeniu nowej wersji,
  • porównywanie kohort canary vs baseline / control group,
  • przekładanie wyników analizy na automatyczne decyzje deploymentowe,
  • współpraca z zespołami platform, SRE/DevOps i engineering.

Wymagania

  • doświadczenie w pracy z danymi telemetrycznymi, metrykami lub time-series,

About The Role
We are seeking a Billing Data Analyst to join our Billing and Data team. You will play a key role in analyzing financial performance, billing behavior, risk trends, and support operations. Your work will help drive better decision-making, reduce financial risks, and improve billing efficiency across all products. This role combines analytical rigor, statistical thinking, and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor, analyze, and report on key billing and support performance indicators and emerging trends.
  • Build and maintain data pipelines to ensure accurate, timely, and reliable data delivery.
  • Apply statistical methods to project scenarios, assess “what-if” outcomes, and anticipate financial risks.
  • Run A/B tests and experiments to evaluate billing and support strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Billing, Support, Finance, Product, Marketing) to align processes with risk-mitigation goals.
  • Analyze the impact of marketing and product changes on billing outcomes, risk behavior, and customer support metrics.
  • Provide actionable recommendations to improve billing performance and reduce disputes, churn, and operational inefficiencies.
  • Document analyses, workflows, and data logic to ensure clarity and consistency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field.
  • Experience as a Data Analyst, ideally within fintech, subscription products, billing, or customer support.
  • Strong SQL skills.
  • Experience with popular BI tools such as Tableau, Looker, or similar
  • Experience with Python or R
  • Solid understanding of statistical analysis, forecasting, and scenario modeling.
  • Experience running A/B tests and interpreting experiment results.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Curiosity, ownership mindset, and the discipline to maintain high-quality data work.

Nice to have

  • Experience with BigQuery, ClickHouse, or any cloud data warehouse.
  • Basic Python knowledge for data cleaning or simple analysis.
  • Exposure to subscription businesses or payment systems.
  • Understanding of disputes, chargebacks, declines, or fraud signals.
  • Familiarity with DBT or data quality frameworks.
