We are looking for a Product Owner to support the development of Unify Analytics, RIB’s embedded analytics capability for the construction and AEC industry.
Unify Analytics transforms complex project and business data into clear, interactive insights that help construction professionals make better decisions directly within their daily workflows. The product combines traditional visual analytics, configurable dashboards and AI-assisted chart and dashboard creation.
In this role, you will work closely with Product Management, UX, Data Engineering & Analytics, software development, quality engineering and other product teams across the Unify platform. You will translate product direction and validated customer needs into clear, implementation-ready requirements and support the team throughout discovery, delivery and release.
You will play a central role in establishing an AI-augmented product development approach in which specifications, UX designs, data semantics and technical contracts are consistently aligned before implementation begins.
AI fluency is a baseline expectation for this position. We are looking for someone who does not merely use individual AI tools, but understands how to integrate AI into daily workflows, critically evaluate its output and continuously improve how product work is performed.
Key responsibilities
- Own and refine the Unify Analytics backlog, translating strategy, customer needs and business requirements into clear epics, features and user stories.
- Define testable acceptance criteria, including performance, security, scalability and accessibility requirements.
- Align Product Management, UX, Data Engineering and R&D on workflows, data models, APIs, technical concepts and analytical experiences.
- Ensure sprint readiness, clarify requirements and coordinate dependencies, feature kick-offs and cross-team delivery.
- Support release planning, readiness, functional acceptance and communication of progress, risks and blockers.
- Establish responsible, repeatable AI-assisted workflows across discovery, requirements, refinement, analysis and documentation.
Essential requirements
- Several years of experience in product ownership, technical product ownership, project management or a comparable software-delivery role.
- Demonstrated experience managing Agile backlogs and participating in planning, refinement, reviews and retrospectives.
- Proven ability to translate complex business and user needs into clear, testable and implementation-ready requirements.
- Experience collaborating with architects, developers, data engineers, QA, DevOps and other technical stakeholders.
- Strong cross-team dependency management, stakeholder communication and experience in international or distributed teams.
- Professional fluency in English and demonstrated experience integrating AI-assisted tools into regular workflows.
Desired skills
- Strong user-story, acceptance-criteria and structured requirements-writing skills.
- Ability to turn ambiguous business problems into clear product behaviours and manageable delivery increments.
- Strong backlog-management, prioritisation and sprint-readiness capabilities.
- Ability to validate consistency across requirements, UX flows, data definitions, APIs and technical dependencies.
- Understanding of software-development lifecycles, integrations and tools such as Azure DevOps or Jira.
- Strong analytical thinking and the ability to balance customer value, strategy, dependencies and delivery capacity.
AI Fluency
- Ability to integrate AI into daily product ownership and delivery workflows.
- Experience improving or redesigning concrete workflows through AI assistance.
- Strong judgement when reviewing AI-generated content for assumptions, inconsistencies and errors.
- Understanding of the need for human validation, accountability and appropriate source context.
- Ability to iteratively improve prompts, inputs, workflows and review mechanisms based on results.
- Commitment to responsible AI use that augments human expertise and acknowledges uncertainty and limitations.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with analytics, business intelligence, reporting, dashboarding or data-driven software products.
- Understanding of KPIs, dimensions, filters, aggregations, semantic models and data quality.
- Familiarity with embedded analytics, self-service analytics or natural-language-driven product experiences.
- Experience with data platforms, pipelines or cloud-based analytics architectures.
- Experience supporting international SaaS products or working in the construction, engineering or AEC domain.
