As a Senior Consultant Energy Utilities, you will work directly with our clients and BCG teams on complex transformation programs across energy sales, energy services, customer solutions, and energy networks. You will take a central role in designing and implementing modern platforms and IT architectures.

Shape the world of tomorrow

• Take end-to-end responsibility for functional and technical workstreams within transformation programs for energy providers — from strategy and target operating model definition through implementation
• Lead and steer interdisciplinary delivery teams while coaching consultants and analysts
• Translate complex business requirements into scalable solution designs and sustainable target architectures (use case detailing, capability mapping, requirements engineering, process design, data domains, and flow analyses)
• Own the architecture and implementation of key energy solutions, including CRM, billing, pricing, forecasting, planning, and logistics systems, as well as digital data platforms
• Manage transformation programs including roadmap definition, governance setup, stakeholder alignment, and quality assurance
• Establish and further develop best practices for delivery teams within the energy utilities sector
• Support proposal development and contribute to the continuous growth of our Energy Utilities portfolio

How You Make a Difference

• Above-average degree in (business) informatics, business administration, or a related field
• Minimum of five years of relevant experience in energy utilities, IT implementation projects, or transformation programs across energy sales, networks, or energy IT
• Experience leading project teams or key workstreams within larger programs
• Solid experience in the design and implementation of industry-standard energy software solutions (e.g., SAP, Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, Powercloud, SIV, Wilken)
• Strong understanding of IT architectures in energy utilities, including current trends in data and platform landscapes
• Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills, including experience building complex business cases
• Confident communication and stakeholder management skills up to senior management level
• Fluent in German and English (additional language skills in Polish, Czech, or Hungarian are a plus)

In this role, you will act as a
an architect of our finance systems landscape
, with NetSuite ERP at its core. You will take a role in shaping how our systems scale across multiple geographies, ensuring performance, compliance, and long-term sustainability. Alongside development, you will drive architectural decisions, system governance, and continuous improvement of our finance technology stack.

🚀 What You’ll Be Doing

• Act as system owner and architect for Wolt’s finance systems environment, centered around our Multi-Subsidiary NetSuite solution
• Define and drive the system architecture and development roadmap, ensuring scalability across markets and business growth
• Design and oversee end-to-end solutions, including integrations, data flows, and system structure across connected finance systems
• Analyze, control, and improve system performance and process efficiency across finance operations
• Lead the design and implementation of customizations, scripts, and workflows aligned with business and compliance needs
• Coordinate development, maintenance, and support activities with internal teams and external partners, ensuring solution stability and robustness
• Collaborate closely with Finance stakeholders (Key Users, Process Owners) to translate business challenges into scalable system solutions
• Identify and drive automation and improvement opportunities, including leveraging emerging technologies such as AI where relevant
• Ensure system governance, documentation, and best practices across the finance systems landscape
• Support system testing, integration efforts, and continuous improvement initiatives

🧠 Our humble expectations

• Strong experience with NetSuite technical development and solution design
• Proven track record in a role combining systems ownership, architecture, and hands-on development
• Solid experience with:

• SuiteScript (1.0, 2.0, 2.x), SuiteBuilder
• Integrations (REST, SOAP, RESTlets, SuiteAnalytics Connect)

• Experience managing and evolving complex, multi-entity / multi-country ERP environments
• Experience working with external partners and multiple internal stakeholders
• Strong understanding of system processes, data flows, and integration patterns
• Experience in system roadmap planning and project delivery
• Ability to communicate clearly with both technical stakeholders and finance end users

Seen as a strong advantage:

• Experience with SuiteTax and global tax configurations
• Familiarity with applying AI or automation in finance systems
• Background in core finance processes (accounting, reporting)

• Business-Central-Expertise: Du bringst mehrere Jahre praktische Erfahrung mit Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central oder Navision mit – idealerweise mindestens 2-3 Jahr
• Prozessverständnis: Finance, Einkauf, Sales und Supply Chain sind für dich keine Blackbox. Du verstehst, wie Geschäftsprozesse funktionieren und wie sie sinnvoll in einem ERP abgebildet werden
• AL & Extensions: Du kannst nicht nur über AL sprechen, sondern hast bereits selbst Anpassungen und Extensions umgesetzt
• Integration & Technik: APIs, Webservices und Schnittstellen zwischen Systemen sind dir vertraut. Idealerweise hast du bereits mit Integrationen rund um Business Central gearbeitet

DEINE ROLLE

• Definiere Cloud-Zielarchitekturen: Du analysierst bestehende Applikationslandschaften unserer Kunden, identifizierst Modernisierungspotenziale und entwickelst tragfähige Zielbilder für Cloud-Architekturen vor, während und nach der Migration.
• Gestalte Migrationsstrategien: Du wählst geeignete Migrations- und Modernisierungsstrategien (z. B. Rehost, Replatform, Refactor, Rearchitect) aus und übersetzt diese in konkrete Architektur-Roadmaps und Übergangsszenarien.
• Entwirf Cloud-native Lösungen: Du konzipierst Cloud-native Architekturen (z. B. Microservices, Event-driven, API-First, Container/Kubernetes) auf Basis der gängigen Hyperscaler (Azure, AWS, GCP) und berücksichtigst bei Bedarf auch deutsche Cloud-Alternativen (z. B. STACKIT, Open Telekom Cloud, IONOS Cloud).
• Übernimm End-to-End-Verantwortung: Du begleitest Projekte von der frühen Architekturberatung über Design- und Entscheidungsphasen bis hin zu Implementierung, Transition und Optimierung im laufenden Betrieb.
• Steuere die Zusammenarbeit mit Delivery-Teams: Du arbeitest eng mit Entwicklung, DevOps- und Plattform-Teams zusammen, übersetzt Architekturvorgaben in umsetzbare Leitplanken (Guardrails) und stellst die Integration in CI/CD, IaC und Betriebsprozesse sicher.
• Berate und überzeuge Stakeholder: Du moderierst Kundenworkshops (z. B. Assessments, Zielbild- und Architektur-Workshops), erstellst Entscheidungsvorlagen und präsentierst Architekturen zielgruppengerecht für Fachbereiche und Management.

DEIN PROFIL

• Fundierte Berufserfahrung im Cloud-Umfeld: Du hast ein abgeschlossenes IT-nahes Studium oder eine vergleichbare Ausbildung und mehrjährige Erfahrung als (Solution/Software/Enterprise) Architekt:in im Cloud-Kontext.
• Expertise in Cloud-Architekturen & Migration: Du verfügst über ein tiefes Verständnis von Cloud-Architekturen, Migrationsvorgehen und Frameworks (z. B. Cloud Adoption Frameworks der Hyperscaler) und hast diese bereits in Kundenprojekten angewendet.
• Modernisierungs- und Integrationskompetenz: Du kennst gängige Modernisierungsansätze (z. B. Microservices, API-First, Event-driven, Container/Kubernetes) und bist vertraut mit Themen wie Identity & Access, Networking, Data, Integration und Observability.
• Erfahrung mit Multi-Cloud & deutschen Providern: Du bewegst dich sicher in mindestens einem Hyperscaler-Ökosystem (Azure, AWS oder GCP) und hast idealerweise Berührungspunkte mit deutschen Cloud-Providern (z. B. STACKIT, Open Telekom Cloud, IONOS Cloud).
• Starke Beratungskompetenz: Du kannst komplexe fachliche und technische Zusammenhänge strukturieren, in klare Architekturentscheidungen überführen und adressatengerecht kommunizieren – von Entwicklerteams bis zum Management.
