Responsibilities

Design & Concept Development

• Advise on future line design and automation concepts.
• Contribute to the development of control strategies for new production lines.

Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT)

• Support central engineering teams during FAT at supplier sites.
• Review and approve:
• HMI settings and user interface logic
• PLC logic and control sequences
• Line routing concepts
• Compliance with machine acceptance criteria

Installation & Site Acceptance Testing (SAT)

• Support line installation and commissioning, focusing on:
• Emergency stop and power supply strategies
• Manual/automatic mode transitions
• On/off sequencing and safety zone validation
• Verification of PLC, HMI, and safety equipment specifications
• Final sign-off of machine acceptance list

Ramp-Up & Production Support

• Lead technical support during ramp-up and stabilization phases.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce scrap and increase technical availability.
• Develop and implement ramp-up/down plans in collaboration with production teams.
• Support Production Engineers during ramp-up.
• Troubleshoot process and equipment when issues arise and implement containment and corrective actions.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation or other related technical field.
• Proficiency in industrail level PLC programming
• Understanding of safety standards for robotic cells and CE conformity
• Familiarity with robot programming and camera/vision systems integration.
• Strong attention to detail and structured problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Fluency in English.
• Ability to work on-site in a dynamic, cross-functional team.

It's beneficial if you have:

• Experience with Siemens PLCs.
• Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g., OPC UA, Profinet).
• Exposure to SCADA systems or MES integration.
• Experience in troubleshooting and optimizing automated production lines.
• Knowledge of safety standards and risk assessments in automated environments.
