Job Description

You’ll be joining a team that delivers high-quality U.S. e-commerce data. With over 16 years of experience, we know our craft, and we’re always evolving. In this role, you’ll use your analytical skills to make sure our clients get accurate, reliable data. You’ll also get hands-on experience with our proprietary technology (and have a mentor to guide you). Plus, you’ll have the chance to help us push forward with new initiatives and improvements. What You’ll Be Doing:

Data Extraction

  • Build data extractors to parse e-receipts using NielsenIQ’s proprietary markup language and RegEx.
  • Debug and fine-tune templates to make sure they’re accurate, then validate your work with SQL and BI tools.
  • Keep documentation clear and communicate effectively with tech teams and client-facing teams.
  • Adapt extraction logic as data formats and business needs change.
  • Stay up to date with our internal processes and tools.

Data Quality & Analysis

  • Run thorough checks to ensure data is complete, consistent and is parsed correctly.
  • Investigate any anomalies specific to U.S. retail data.
  • Write and optimize SQL queries and Databricks notebooks for large-scale analysis.
  • Create reports for client-facing teams.

Process Improvement

  • Spot opportunities for automation and help improve our processes and tools.
  • Lead or support strategic projects, like UATs, new processes onboarding, etc.
  • Work closely with developers, analysts and client-facing teams to design solutions together.
  • Keep operational and project documentation up to date.

Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of experience in data operations, analytics or tech-related roles.
  • Solid SQL skills
    - you should be comfortable with joins, subqueries and CTEs.
  • Hands-on experience with BI tools like Tableau, Power BI, etc.
  • A logical, analytical mindset to tackle complex tasks and spot patterns in data.
  • Great communication skills and attention to detail (crucial when working with data that people rely on to make decisions).
  • Fluency in English.

Nice to Have:

  • Knowledge of e-commerce data and industry trends.
  • Familiarity with analytical platforms like Snowflake or Databricks.
  • Previous experience in QA or data validation.
  • Experience working in agile environments and understanding basic software development processes

What You’ll Do

  • Define and enforce best practices and coding standards across the project
  • Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure adherence to established guidelines and maintain high code quality
  • Working both independently and in close collaboration with others in the team
  • Communicating clear instructions to team members and helping manage the flow of day-to-day operations
  • Communicating with the client regularly
  • Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable Spark applications
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices and coding standards
  • Optimize code for performance and scalability, ensuring efficient data handling
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions

What You Bring

  • Solid proven hands-on experience in software development
  • Practical experience developing SQL stored procedures and migrating them into Spark SQL or PySpark environments
  • Extensive expertise using PySpark on Databricks, encompassing Delta tables, cluster management, and workflow automation
  • Proven track record of optimizing Spark performance within production-level projects
  • Strong proficiency in Python, specifically for complex data manipulation utilizing libraries like Polars or Pandas
  • Solid understanding of columnar data storage formats, particularly Parquet, with practical experience using Delta Tables
  • Proven expertise in data processing, analysis, and transformation workflows
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a detail-oriented mindset
  • Practical and pragmatic approach to balancing standardized processes with flexibility to meet project goals effectively
  • Solid understanding of microservices architecture and its implementation in scalable systems

Nice to have

  • Experience working with Azure Cloud services (or other major cloud platforms), including a range of SaaS offerings such as Service Bus, Data Lake, Blob Storage, Redis, and more
  • Familiarity with FastAPI
  • Expertise in containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes

  • Assess current source systems, data flows, integrations, reporting flows, and architectural constraints
  • Identify data fragmentation, architecture gaps, platform risks, and key dependencies

What You Bring

  • Strong background in enterprise data architecture and cloud data platforms

  • Strong understanding of data governance, security, access management, and compliance considerations

Who we are looking for
As a
Data Governance Technology Consultant
, you will be embedded in our technology strategy team, advising clients across various industries such as financial services, energy, insurance, and manufacturing on how to design, implement, and operate modern data governance programmes.

This role spans the full spectrum, from early-stage strategy and tool selection, through hands-on platform configuration and data quality design, to stakeholder engagement with C-level executives and data stewards alike. You will work with best-in-class tooling and operate as a trusted advisor across the EMEA region 🚀

If you are / have:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience
    working with data in a business or technical role
  • Strategic and analytical mindset , able to structure ambiguous problems and drive to meaningful conclusions
  • Ability to gather and translate business and technical requirements across different industries
  • High-quality client-facing documents: requirements, design specs, technical reports, and executive presentations
  • English
    at advanced level, both written and spoken
  • BPMN or equivalent process notation with the ability to model and document business workflows
  • Practical SQL knowledge, comfortable reading and writing queries against relational and analytical databases
  • Familiarity with Java, Groovy, or Python , scripting is a supporting skill, not the daily focus
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
  • Positive, can-do mindset with the resilience to thrive in a fast-paced, global environment

Your future role

  • As a Data Governance Technology Consultant, you will be part of technology strategy team within the firm responsible. You will have an opportunity to lead clients through Data Governance
    strategy and implementations
    as well as other data related projects from both organizational and technical site,
  • You will have the opportunity to work and acquire skills with the best Data Governance solutions available on the market (Informatica, Collibra, Talend),
  • Although we require some programing skills, writing a code won't be your everyday task,
  • You will have an opportunity to develop and implement data governance processes and solutions for clients from various business sectors (e.g., financial services, automotive, insurance),
  • You will act as a trusted advisor to senior technology and business stakeholders.

Data Management Administrator
to join our Digital team in Sofia.

What you'll be doing

  • Support the implementation and continuous improvement of the Data & Information Governance Framework across UniCredit Bulbank and its subsidiaries.
  • Contribute to the establishment and enforcement of data governance principles, standards, policies, and controls.
  • Collaborate with Data Owners and Data Stewards to promote data accountability, ownership, and stewardship practices across the organization.
  • Develop, maintain, and monitor data quality controls, checks, dashboards, and key data quality indicators.
  • Analyze data quality issues and investigate deviations from established thresholds through data profiling, root cause analysis, and impact assessments.
  • Coordinate with business and technical stakeholders to define and implement remediation actions aimed at improving data quality and strengthening governance controls.
  • Participate in initiatives related to metadata management, business glossary maintenance, data lineage documentation, and critical data element management.
  • Support data governance activities related to regulatory and managerial reporting, ensuring data consistency, completeness, accuracy, and traceability.
  • Contribute to local and Group-wide projects focused on enhancing data management capabilities, reporting tools, governance processes, and reporting engines.
  • Prepare governance reports, monitor compliance with data governance requirements, and support governance committees and decision-making bodies.
  • Identify and propose opportunities for process optimization, simplification, and automation within the data management lifecycle.
  • Promote a data-driven culture and increase awareness of Data Governance principles and best practices throughout the organization.

What you'll need to succeed

  • University degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Mathematics, Informatics or a related field;
  • At least 2 years of experience in Data Governance/ Data Analysis/Business Analysis or in Financial/Managerial or Risk Reporting;
  • Strong banking experience;
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, intellectual curiosity;
  • Excellent command of English and Bulgarian;
  • Proactive and dynamic personality.
