Job Description:

DB Global Technology is Deutsche Bank’s technology centre in Central and Eastern Europe. We have a robust, hands-on engineering culture dedicated to continuous learning, knowledge-sharing, technical skill development and networking. We are an essential part of the Bank’s technology platform and develop applications for many important business areas.

As a DevOps Engineer within the AFC technology division, you will play a key role in building, automating, and maintaining the infrastructure and deployment pipelines that power our critical risk-mitigation platforms. This role is ideal for a professional with 2–3 years of experience who is eager to deepen their expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), modern CI/CD practices, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and optimize automated CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions to ensure reliable, high-quality data workload releases.
  • Build and maintain scalable, secure infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) using Terraform for Infrastructure as Code.
  • Automate repetitive operational workflows and deployment tasks using scripting languages to eliminate manual errors and improve team efficiency.
  • Implement and configure comprehensive monitoring, logging, and observability tools to maintain high availability and performance across environments.
  • Collaborating with all the other areas ( e.g.BA , QA, SM, PO) is the recipe for success.
  • Enforce security best practices, vulnerability scanning, and compliance controls across all containerized platforms and deployment pipelines.

Skills:

  • Exposure of Google Cloud Platform (or another major cloud provider) and Infrastructure as Code using Terraform is essential.
  • Experience in designing CI/CD pipelines (ideally GitHub Actions) and managing containerized applications with Docker and Kubernetes is essential.
  • Scripting and automation skills in at least one modern programming language (such as Python, Bash) are essential.
  • Exposure of Helm Charts and configuring system monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, New Relic, or Google Cloud Operations is preferred.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Gemini, Claude, Copilot) and modern, high-quality software engineering practices is preferred.
  • ITIL and SDLC are a must in a financial institution.
  • Software fails –> troubleshooting experience is important.

Job Summary
We are looking for a Data Engineer to contribute to the design and implementation of modern cloud-native Data & AI platforms on AWS. You will work as part of a collaborative team to build production-grade architectures for startups and enterprise customers. This position combines technical delivery, hands-on engineering, and stakeholder collaboration across analytics environments and GenAI solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build scalable cloud-native data platforms and modern lakehouse architectures on AWS under the guidance of senior leadership.
  • Build and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines, streaming architectures, and data services.
  • Apply best practices for data modeling, orchestration, governance, and observability to ensure platform scalability.
  • Assist in architecting modern AI solutions, including RAG pipelines, vector search, and ML integrations.
  • Work closely with customers and internal teams to translate business requirements into functional technical designs.
  • Participate in troubleshooting, code reviews, performance tuning, and production support to drive platform reliability.
  • Support modernization projects involving the transition from legacy ETL systems to cloud-based data warehouses.

Requirements

  • 4–6 years of hands-on experience in Data Engineering, Data Architecture, or Backend Engineering.
  • Solid experience implementing cloud-native architectures and leveraging AWS data services.
  • Strong hands-on experience with at least 4-5 of the following: Databricks, DBT, Snowflake, Airflow, Kafka, Spark, Redshift, S3, AWS Glue, or Lambda.
  • Advanced SQL and Python development skills.
  • Experience with data warehouse design, lakehouse architectures, and building scalable real-time data pipelines.
  • Understanding of CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and monitoring practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a "people person" attitude and the ability to engage in technical discussions with customers.
  • A proactive, can-do attitude with a strong sense of ownership over assigned projects.

Job Description
Are you passionate about data and enterprise database technologies? We are seeking an experienced Professional Oracle Database Administrator to join our dynamic team. You will play a central role in designing, implementing, optimizing, and securing Oracle Database environments, both on-premises and in the cloud. This is your chance to make a significant impact by ensuring high availability, performance, resilience, and security of our critical database platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a key contributor supporting the DBA team in migrating data from another system, including clients, transactions, and related information.
  • Design, install, automate, and continuously improve Oracle Database services across on-premises, Exadata, and cloud environments, with exposure to PostgreSQL considered an advantage.
  • Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with internal policies, audit requirements, and industry standards.
  • Design and deliver high availability and disaster recovery solutions using Oracle technologies such as Data Guard, RAC, RMAN, backup/recovery automation, and replication mechanisms to meet required RTO and RPO. Perform regular restore tests and Disaster Recovery exercises.
  • Implement and maintain robust monitoring to track database health, performance, capacity, and utilization using tools such as Oracle Enterprise Manager and automated alerting. Develop and maintain automation scripts and jobs for administrative efficiency using Shell, PL/SQL, Python, Ansible, or cloud-native automation.
  • Plan and execute Oracle database upgrades, patching, migrations, and platform transitions between on-premises, Exadata, OCI, Azure, or AWS environments.
  • Collaborate closely with development, DevOps, infrastructure, and security teams to optimize SQL and PL/SQL code, schemas, indexing strategies, and database design.
  • Document Oracle database architecture, configurations, operational procedures, runbooks, and recovery plans.

Qualifications

  • Experience with Oracle Database installation, configuration, upgrading, patching, administration, and performance tuning.
  • Deep understanding of Oracle Database architecture, internals, storage structures, optimizer behavior, and administration best practices.
  • Hands-on expertise with on-premises Oracle environments, Exadata or engineered systems, and cloud database services.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL and/or other enterprise database platforms is a strong advantage.
  • Proven skills in RMAN backup/recovery, disaster recovery, high-availability solutions, restore validation, and operational resilience.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms such as OCI, AWS, Azure, or VMware, plus migration strategies and tools such as Oracle Data Pump, RMAN duplicate, GoldenGate, or AWS DMS, will be considered an advantage.
  • Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL scripting, performance tuning, query optimization, indexing, execution plans, AWR/ASH analysis, and database diagnostics.
  • Experience with automation tools and scripting such as Shell, Python, Ansible, PL/SQL jobs, or cloud automation is highly desirable.
  • Strong grasp of database security: user and privilege management, role-based access control, encryption, auditing, patching, and compliance controls.

The Mission

The application is called “International Finance System” (IFS). It is an in-house developed core banking system for Wholesale Banking clients, operated and maintained out of Belgium. It offers business services to international branches of ING.

The main business services are payment and cash management services, with additional lending and financial market services which are essential to offer a consistent set of services to the international customers. The main modules are: Account Management / Accounting(GL) / Payments and Cash Management / Commercial Loans & Credits / Back-officearbitrage / Static data.

The support business services offered by IFS allow integrating the application in the finance and risk systems of ING. IFS is running in 8 countries, as logical instances on a shared infrastructure.

Your day to day

  • Provide support to application users by resolving Incidents;
  • Participation in Feature description (confluence);
  • Outline the logical architecture solution in Functional Analysis (what has to be changed in what module) together with architect, feature engineer, product owner, application leader;
  • Co-ordinate and align with PO / developer(s) / OPS / stakeholders to fit changes in release;
  • Organizing peer to peer review (with senior analyst);
  • Assist in: testing (test cases & test data preparation), implementation and migration;
  • Use AI in day to day activities
  • Assist and help stakeholders with UAT testing.

What you’ll bring to the team

  • Writing pseudocode – solving easy programming problems;
  • SQL: comfortable writing medium difficulty queries daily (JOINs, sub queries, GROUP BY, HAVING);
  • Experience in a software development team in either one of these roles: Technical Business Analyst/Tester/Developer;
  • English – fluent; communicating with offshore teams daily.

Nice to have:

  • Core banking experience;
  • Agile methodology;
  • Eficient AI prompting knowledge;
  • Banking/payments SWIFT standard (non-exhaustive list includes: MT103, 101, 202, 202COV, 203, 200, 210).

The objective of the project is to build a new billing platform based on SAP UC4G as the strategic backbone for future-ready sales. Through maximum automation, standardization, and harmonization, the shared platform should enable efficient billing of all products and services.

Key objectives include:

Responsibilities

  • Build & operate AI solutions within the squad: Develop and operate AI solutions directly within the squad, including agents, automations, scripts, and integrations. Provide hands-on support with requirements analysis, documentation, solution design, testing, and coding.
  • Measurable delivery contribution: Increase the level of automation and development velocity with measurable impact.
  • Enablement towards independence: Enable the squad to work independently and AI-first after the handover.
  • AI as a standard working tool: Establish the use of AI to prevent errors in development, documentation, and quality assurance.
  • Define methods & best practices: Establish clear guidelines for how AI can be used effectively within the squad and support the team in adopting these working methods.

AI & Tooling

  • Solid experience using AI tools in a professional/work context, e.g. Copilots, LLMs (such as Claude Code), and code assistants
  • Ability to effectively use AI for requirements analysis, documentation, solution design, coding, and testing
