Fixed Income Electronic Trading Lead

On behalf of our client, a leading financial services company, we are seeking a
Fixed Income Electronic Trading Lead
to bring our bond trading capability to market — owning the project end to end, from instrument configuration and connectivity through go-live and post-launch optimisation. You'll sit at the intersection of trading, technology, and operations, and be the person who makes the pieces fit together.

What you'll do:

Project Leadership & Delivery

• Lead the Fixed Income electronic trading project from planning through go-live, managing timelines, risks, and stakeholder coordination
• Define the fixed income technical and operational roadmap
• Work closely with Risk, Operations, IT, and Compliance teams across all project phases

Asset Class Configuration & Systems

• Configure fixed income instruments across trading, pricing, back-office, and client-facing platforms
• Manage pricing feed integrations, FIX/API connectivity, and execution workflow validation
• Maintain instrument static data standards including ISIN mapping, coupon schedules, and settlement parameters

Operations, BO & Compliance

• Design and document end-to-end trade lifecycle and settlement workflows
• Establish exception handling and reconciliation procedures
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, reporting, and audit trail requirements

Post-Launch Optimization

• Monitor platform performance, operational KPIs, and fill quality post-launch
• Identify and resolve workflow or system inefficiencies
• Provide ongoing support to trading, operations, and client-facing teams

Requirements:

• 3–5 years
  of experience in fixed income operations, electronic trading, or capital markets technology
• Experience launching or configuring bond trading capabilities within banks, brokerages, or trading platforms
• Strong understanding of bond trading mechanics, settlement cycles, liquidity models, and fixed income workflows
• Hands-on experience with system configuration, FIX/API connectivity, and STP trade flows
• Strong project management, analytical, and stakeholder communication skills
• Comfortable working in fast-paced electronic markets environments
