We're looking for an exceptional
Senior Forward Deployed AI Engineer
who thrives at the intersection of software engineering, AI, consulting, and direct collaboration with enterprise customers.
This is a highly senior role for engineers who have experience delivering complex technical solutions, working closely with international customers, and operating as trusted technical advisors.
The ideal candidate has experience working in a
Forward Deployed Engineering model or a similar highly technical customer-facing role
, combined with the ability to operate effectively in fast-changing startup or scale-up environments.

You'll join a long-term engagement for an innovative US-based AI company building enterprise AI software used by leading global organizations.
The product is built with
Python on the backend
and
TypeScript/React on the frontend
, leveraging modern AI technologies to deliver enterprise-grade AI solutions.
As part of a customer-facing engineering team, you'll work directly with enterprise customers to design AI architectures, solve complex technical challenges, lead implementation projects, and ensure successful adoption of AI solutions.
You'll collaborate with engineering leaders, architects, product teams, and business stakeholders while helping shape the future of the platform through customer feedback and real-world implementations.

About The Role
This is
not a traditional software engineering position
.
We're looking for someone who naturally operates as a trusted technical advisor, solution architect, and hands-on engineer.
You'll work shoulder-to-shoulder with enterprise customers, helping them design, build, and scale production-ready AI solutions while leading technical conversations, driving architectural decisions, and becoming their trusted engineering partner.
The ideal candidate has experience working in a
Forward Deployed Engineering model
or a similar highly technical customer-facing role, where they have owned complex implementations, worked directly with customers, and solved real business problems through technology.
This role requires someone who is comfortable in a fast-moving environment where priorities evolve quickly, problems are not always clearly defined, and engineers are expected to take ownership, make decisions, and move fast.

What You Will Do Partner with Enterprise Customers
- Act as a trusted technical advisor for strategic enterprise customers.
- Lead technical discovery workshops, architecture reviews, and solution design sessions.
- Understand business challenges and translate them into scalable AI-powered solutions.
- Build trusted relationships with engineering leaders, architects, and executive stakeholders.
- Guide customers through technical decision-making and AI adoption.
Lead Complex AI Implementations
- Design and build production-grade AI-powered applications.
- Deliver custom integrations, AI workflows, and enterprise solutions.
- Solve complex architecture and implementation challenges.
- Integrate AI platforms into existing enterprise environments.
- Deliver solutions that create measurable business impact.
Drive Technical Excellence
- Lead architecture decisions and engineering best practices.
- Mentor customer engineering teams during implementation.
- Review technical designs and implementation strategies.
- Stay hands-on while leading complex technical initiatives.
- Balance engineering excellence with business priorities.
Shape Product Evolution
- Identify recurring customer challenges and implementation patterns.
- Share customer insights with Product and Engineering teams.
- Help transform customer-specific implementations into reusable platform capabilities.

What We're Looking For Forward Deployed / Customer-Facing Engineering Experience
- Experience working as a Forward Deployed Engineer or in a similar highly technical customer-facing engineering role.
- Experience leading customer engagements from discovery through production.
- Extensive experience working directly with international enterprise customers.
- Experience leading architecture workshops and technical solution design sessions.
- Ability to understand business challenges and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
- Experience acting as a trusted technical advisor for engineering leaders and business stakeholders.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and solving complex customer problems.
Senior Engineering Experience
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Proven experience delivering complex production systems.
- Strong software architecture and system design skills.
- Experience designing scalable solutions across backend, frontend, APIs, integrations, and cloud infrastructure.
- Strong ownership mindset and exceptional problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate technical decisions clearly and effectively.
Startup & High-Growth Environment Experience
- Proven experience working in startup, scale-up, or high-growth technology environments.
- Comfortable operating in fast-changing environments with evolving requirements and priorities.
- Ability to work independently, take ownership, and make decisions without relying on extensive processes.
- Experience building products where requirements are not always fully defined.
- Strong bias toward action and delivering practical solutions over perfect processes.
- Ability to quickly adapt, experiment, and find solutions in ambiguous situations.
AI Engineering
- Hands-on experience building AI-powered products or enterprise AI solutions.
- Experience working with modern LLMs and AI APIs.

- Full-time availability.
- Ability to work with at least 80% overlap with New York (Eastern Time) business hours (typically starting around 1:00–2:00 PM Polish time).

to ensure close collaboration with the US-based customer team.
