Atlantbh is expanding and we are looking for a dedicated and experienced Medior Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. If you are passionate about frontend and backend development, have experience with Elixir, and a keen interest in working with cutting-edge technologies, this is the perfect opportunity for you. As a Medior Software Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable web applications.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain RESTful and WebSocket-based APIs using Elixir and Phoenix
• Build interactive web applications using Phoenix LiveView and Tailwind CSS
• Design, optimize, and maintain relational database schemas (e.g., PostgreSQL) to ensure data integrity and performance
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following best practices and coding standards
• Develop and maintain scalable backend services and applications using Elixir and its ecosystem

Requirements
The ideal candidate has the following:

• At least 2 years of experience in software development
• Strong proficiency in functional programming languages such as Elixir, Erlang or another functional programming language
• Familiarity with OTP concepts such as processes, supervision trees, GenServers, and fault-tolerant application design
• Experience developing dynamic web applications using Phoenix and Elixir
• Experience with the Heroku ecosystem is a plus
• Familiarity with Test Driven Development (TDD) is a plus

We’re looking for a
Full-Stack Developer (Laravel 12 / Vue 3)
for a full-time role
on-site in Mostar
. This position is open to
mid-level and senior
profiles who enjoy ownership, high-quality engineering, and working on real production systems.

Tasks

• Build and maintain backend services in
  Laravel 12
  (business logic, APIs, integrations)

• Build and maintain frontend features in
  Vue 3
  (components, state, UX details, responsiveness)

• Connect frontend and backend via
  REST APIs
  (auth flows, validation, error handling)

• Contribute to architecture and codebase quality (clean code, modularity, maintainability)

• Improve performance where it matters (database queries, caching when appropriate, profiling)

• Collaborate with product and engineering to define and deliver features end-to-end

• Participate in code reviews and help maintain strong quality standards

• Propose improvements to systems and processes as the team grows

Requirements

• Professional experience in full-stack web development (
  mid-level or senior
  )

• Strong
  PHP
  skills and solid experience with
  Laravel

• Strong knowledge of
  Vue 3
  (Composition API) and component-based thinking

• Solid understanding of
  HTML/CSS
  and UX fundamentals (not just “it works”)

• Experience integrating with
  REST APIs
  and common web flows (auth, forms, errors)

• Confident working with relational databases (e.g.,
  MySQL/PostgreSQL
  ) and basic query optimization

• Comfortable with a team workflow using
  Git + PRs + code reviews

• Willingness to work
  fully on-site in Mostar
  and collaborate closely with the team

• Strong problem-solving mindset and focus on quality and stability

Nice-to-have:

• Docker, CI/CD, and modern DevOps practices

• Redis / queues / background jobs (when relevant)

• Testing experience (PHPUnit/Pest, Cypress/Playwright/Vitest or similar)

ABOUT YOU:

• Strong experience with Java. Solid hands on experience with Spring Boot (REST APIs, configuration, security basics)
• Good understanding of object oriented design, clean code, and design principles (SOLID)
• Experience building and maintaining backend services in production environments
• Proficiency working with SQL databases and NoSQL databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB) - Designing schemas, writing efficient queries, indexing
• Familiarity with Git and modern development workflows (code reviews, pull requests)
• Knowledge of messaging and event driven systems: Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar
• Practical experience using Docker - Building images, local development, containerized services
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Experience writing unit and integration tests
• Able to work independently and take ownership of features from design to production
• Strong problem solving mindset and attention to detail
• Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non technical stakeholders
• Willingness to mentor less experienced engineers (especially for Senior role)
• Comfortable working in an Agile/Scrum environment
