About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Developer to join Theodo GovTech, a specialized division dedicated to supporting public sector clients such as ministries, local authorities, and major public operators. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the successful delivery of digital products that improve public service quality and user experience. Your responsibilities will include leading complex technical design and development efforts, maintaining high standards of architecture and code quality through Theodo’s proven methodologies, and acting as the primary technical contact for clients. You will also be responsible for mentoring and coaching Software Engineers, fostering a collaborative environment, and ensuring project success. Qualifications
- 5 to 8 years of professional experience in software development
- At least 1 year of experience in Tech Lead or equivalent leadership role
- Proficiency in complex web technologies (front-end, back-end, databases, infrastructure, deployment, CI/CD, logging)
- Strong knowledge of DevOps practices, including Docker, Containers, Kubernetes
- Interest in writing clean, high-quality code
- Ability to design simple, scalable infrastructure architectures
- Experience in mentoring and coaching junior team members
- Additional bonus: Experience with public sector projects, accessibility, or related sectors
Responsibilities
- Ensure the successful delivery of projects while maintaining high quality standards
- Work on complex features and designs, ensuring they are feasible for development teams
- Guarantee the quality of architecture and code through Theodo’s methodologies (3S) and routines (code reviews)
- Serve as the primary technical contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring client satisfaction
- Participate in routine meetings such as backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, and project ceremonies to align with client expectations
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Software Engineering team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
- Conduct one-on-one meetings to support individual growth and performance
- Promote best practices in software development, architecture, and DevOps within the team
