Game Developer - Intern

We are looking for a recent graduate Software Engineer to join our Engineering Team. Together with your team, you will be crafting code that brings to life game features, items and levels in our games which are enjoyed by a community of over 40 million monthly active players. This scale comes along with very interesting engineering challenges which we solve together, using a technology-agnostic approach. Alongside with our games, we continue to grow as software engineers and as a team.

Here’s what you'll do

• Build an amazing experience for the millions of users who play every day
• Design, implement, test and maintain our casual gaming products
• Write clean, sustainable code and participate in peer code-reviews
• You will have ownership of a primary work stream, which you will own end-to-end, but you'll also work in close collaboration with your fellow mobile engineers
• Brainstorm new ideas together with your team to continuously iterate and improve our games' user experience

Desired skills and experiences

• University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or any equivalent subject
• Having game projects in Unity is an advantage

We are looking for a Java Developer to join our software development team. In this role, you will contribute to the development of scalable and high-quality applications while working closely with cross-functional teams in an agile environment. You will be involved in the full software development lifecycle and collaborate with back-end, service-layer, and business teams to deliver seamless user experiences.

What You Will Do

• Develop and maintain Java-based applications and services
• Collaborate with back-end and service-layer teams to ensure seamless integration
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development practices
• Design, build, and optimize scalable microservice-based solutions
• Support the development and maintenance of RESTful APIs and web services
• Work closely with diverse software development and business teams throughout the development lifecycle

The skills you bring

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
• 1–4 years of hands-on experience in Java development
• Experience with Spring Boot
• Knowledge of Microservice architecture, JPA, and Hibernate
• Understanding of RESTful web services, algorithms, and optimization techniques
• Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and Design Patterns
• Experience with RDBMS and NoSQL databases
• Familiarity with container orchestration systems and service discovery concepts
• Experience with Continuous Delivery and DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Nexus, and SonarQube
• Understanding of Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and loosely coupled architectures
• Agile mindset with a strong focus on delivery and customer experience

Responsibilities

• Work as part of an Agile software development team.
• Plan, design, execute, and report manual test activities.
• Prepare and maintain test scenarios, test cases, and test documentation.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing.
• Identify, document, track, and follow up on defects throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Validate that applications and business processes work in line with functional requirements and expected results.
• Contribute to measuring, monitoring, and continuously improving software quality.
• Collaborate closely with business analysts, developers, product teams, and other stakeholders.
• Manage test cases, defects, and related workflows through TFS.

Required Skills and Experience

• At least 2 years of experience in software testing, quality assurance, or a related role.
• Hands-on experience in manual testing of web and desktop applications.
• Previous experience in banking or financial technology projects.
• Experience in at least one of the following banking domains: Payment systems, Loans and credit processes, Money transfers
• Familiarity with banking regulations, compliance requirements, and regulated software development environments.
• Experience with API testing using Postman.
• Ability to validate API requests, responses, status codes, and backend data flows.
• Knowledge of test planning, test case preparation, defect management, regression testing, and test reporting.
• Experience working with Agile software development practices and tools.
• Experience using TFS for test case management, defect tracking, or software development processes.
• Experience with relational databases and basic SQL queries for data validation.
• Strong analytical, attention-to-detail, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• A collaborative team player who supports knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

Nice to Have

• Basic knowledge of test automation concepts.

What You’ll Do
The primary function of this role is to provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users customers and internal partners, acting as a primary point of contact on several channels: telephone, e-mail, web ticket, etc. for devices in EATON Electrical division. The role would be responsible for interfacing with end customers, wholesalers, distributors, panel builders, designers, logistics, quality department, product management, r&d, manufacturing and/or sales or service representative when necessary to handle a variety of pre-sales or post-sales functions. The Senior Software & Connectivity Support Engineer will act as a first point of escalation for advanced troubleshooting on software cases and is able to provide training on products and processes to team members, end-users, customers, colleagues from the same or different department.

Main Responsibilities

• Act as a technical specialist for resolving non standard customer requests related to Software & Connectivity via phone/email/webchat etc.
• Provide assistance to software issues which involve L3 and above technical support engineers, R&D and Product Managers.
• Manage administratively the software licenses for the supported regions and help partners/Customer to deploy and use the license.
• Manage incoming requests related to the Remote Monitoring Software project.
• Schedule remote customer meetings to help solve complex software related issues
• Use Eaton's case management tool according to the work instructions
• Learn about Eaton's newest software solution to support our partners on high technical level
• Proactively act as expert team member for customers and partners to carry out and identify solutions to standard and non-standard task/queries.
• Contribute to knowledge sharing sessions and CI initiatives within and outside of team to adapt best practices.
• Contribute to secure customer satisfaction, reduce customer effort and achieve cycle time/cost improvements through team-based problem solving.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or Computer Science (Software/Telecommunications fields would be a plus)
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Software Technical Support/ Engineering/Virtualization
