Verantwortung

  • Du betreibst und entwickelst moderne Collaboration-Plattformen wie Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams inkl. Teams Phone, SharePoint und Videokonferenzsysteme weiter.
  • Du managst unsere Endgeräte mit Microsoft Intune und Autopilot inklusive Order-, Asset- und Lifecycle-Management.
  • Du automatisierst die Softwareverteilung und verantwortest das Lifecycle-Management von rund 200 Applikationen.
  • In dieser Rolle optimierst du unsere Prozesse durch Automatisierung von On-/Offboarding, Lizenzvergabe und Rollenmanagement mit Azure AD, Intune, PowerShell und HR-Schnittstellen.

AWS is looking for a detail-oriented individual to join our Data Center Engineering Operations (DCEO) Team. This committed group works to maintain the critical physical infrastructure that supports Amazon Web Services. Specifically, this team works to ensure that the data center's MEP operates at 100% availability while maintaining first-class customer service to the teams and groups within the data centers.

As the Data Center Engineering Operation (DCEO) Chief Engineer (CE), you will be responsible for ensuring that all electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment within the data center is operating at peak efficiency. This involves both planned preventative maintenance of equipment, daily corrective work, and emergency response to emergent issues. You will serves as an expert technical resource reporting to a site’s Data Center Facility Manager and interacting with onsite Engineering Operations Technicians (EOT) and any third party vendors. Being the singular focal point for all facility operations within a given data center, you will support Amazon within its owned and operated data centers. Data center equipment that supports mission-critical servers must maintain better than 99.999% uptime.

As the DCEO Chief Engineer you will manage small-to-medium impacting projects from conception to completion. These projects involve large amounts of independent work as well as collaboration with external support groups including engineering, automation, processing, and finance in both local and global settings. Creating and delivering on key milestones, obtaining and tracking quotes for all necessary costs, and documenting project results for future implementation at other facilities. The goals of such projects are for the CE to drive innovation and resiliency while reducing operational costs in the facilities.

One of the best parts to this role is that you will direct, train and support Engineering Operation Technicians in their role of providing hands-on electrical and mechanical equipment troubleshooting and operations. Implementation and execution of site/equipment-specific training exercises is also expected. This equipment includes, but is not limited to, stand-by diesel generators, MV/LV power distribution and switchgear, UPS’s, PDU’s, AHU’s, CRAHs, chillers, cooling towers, chemical treatment systems, pumps, motors, VFD’s, and building management systems (BMS).

Key job responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations and maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment in data centers
  • Operate independently with limited direct management
  • Assist in the design and build out of new facilities
  • Act as an escalation point for all facilities-related issues within the data center region and work OT hours as needed to support site stability
  • Perform root cause analysis of equipment failures
  • Troubleshoot and report of facility and data sever-level events within internal SLA
  • Create and deploy new standard practices for Engineering Operations Technicians, Chief Engineers, and vendor support teams
  • Provide training and guidance to Engineering Operations Technicians and assisting in recruiting efforts for the same
  • Ensure all safety procedures are adhered to by vendor and Amazon staff
  • Utilize internal Change Management Systems to manage building workflows
  • MV/LV Isolation to facilitate maintenance activities
  • Provide metric availability reporting on a weekly basis

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate the following competencies and behaviors:

  • Aptitude for troubleshooting and problem solving.
  • Ability to maintain SLAs through the implementation of proactive issue detection and immediate response.
  • Proven experience of reading SLDs and control schematics.
  • Ability to follow support procedures, system documentation, and issue tracking entries into a trouble ticket system.
  • Shows good judgment and instincts in decision making.
  • Ability to prioritize in complex, fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to demonstrate their ability to take ownership of technical issues brought to them by their customer base
  • Communicate complex technical information to a non-technical audience

About The Team

Basic Qualifications

  • Good verbal and written English communication skills
  • Engineering Degree in Electrical or Mechanical OR Apprentice/trades certified or diploma in an Electrical/HVAC field with extensive experience
  • Demonstrate key electrical competencies (Practice & Theory)
  • Knowledge of mechanical systems (Mechanical, HVAC systems, Controls)
  • Ability to draft accurate support procedures in English, system documentation, and issue tracking entries
  • Ability to take full ownership of technical issues
  • Willing to travel between Data center sites, and internationally if required
  • Solid IT skills; experience and knowledge of MS Office suite.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in operations and on-call support for Data Center facilities / or Mission Critical Plants/ Production facilities - with a deep understanding of electrical and mechanical support infrastructure
  • An undergraduate degree in a technical field (EE, MechE, IndustrialE);
  • Knowledge of building codes and regulations including Life Safety, BOCA, NFPA, NEC, or OSHA
  • Experience in project management in data centers or comparable critical infrastructure
  • Solid leadership, mentoring and organizational skills

The Role
As a
DevOps Engineer – Mobile
, you will play a crucial role in streamlining the delivery, integration, and performance of our iOS and Android mobile apps. You'll help shape and maintain the infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and automation processes that enable our mobile engineering teams to ship faster and more reliably. Your work will directly impact millions of users worldwide by ensuring high availability, rapid deployment, and top-tier performance.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines tailored for mobile app development (iOS and Android).
  • Automate build, test, and deployment workflows across multiple environments.
  • Manage cloud infrastructure to support mobile backend services and tooling.
  • Collaborate with mobile developers to ensure efficient release cycles and fast feedback loops.
  • Optimize the performance, reliability, and scalability of mobile-specific infrastructure and build systems.
  • Integrate monitoring, logging, and alerting for mobile services and CI/CD systems.
  • Enforce mobile app security best practices, including certificate management, secrets handling, and signing processes.
  • Support infrastructure as code (IaC) practices using tools like Terraform.
  • Continuously evaluate and implement emerging DevOps tools and practices to improve mobile development workflows.

Requirements

  • Around 3+ years of experience in DevOps, with a strong emphasis on mobile app pipelines and automation.
  • Proficiency with mobile CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Bitrise, fastlane, CircleCI, or GitLab CI).
  • Experience in building and distributing iOS and Android applications in scalable environments.
  • Familiarity with Apple Developer tools (Xcode, provisioning profiles, code signing) and Google Play Store pipelines.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as GCP, Azure, or AWS.
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or similar containerization and orchestration systems.
  • Strong scripting skills in Bash, Python, or similar languages.
  • Understanding of mobile-specific security practices (e.g., certificate management, secure storage).
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog.
