Your Role
When it comes to
Air Traffic Management
, using the latest digital tower technologies from Frequentis, airports can futureproof their ATC operations at significantly lower cost than renovating or rebuilding a conventional tower. With a digital tower, operated locally or remotely, existing staff resources can work more flexibly and efficiently to manage growing volumes of traffic. A
Frequentis
remote tower solution is fully scalable from a single instance to a multi remote tower centre in which a central team of controllers manages multiple airports.

We are looking for a
System Engineer
who will be responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining secure, high-availability Linux-based systems that support the
Remote Digital Tower
infrastructure, ensuring seamless and reliable air traffic management operations.

Working Model

• Hybrid working model with occasional home office
• Regular business travel to Vienna (approximately once per week)
• International business travel approximately 25% of the time (mainly Germany)
• Company cars are available for travel to Vienna

Key Tasks

• Installing and integrating systems and system components into existing system environments
• Assisting our customers with their technical queries about the operation, configuration and service of the serviced system
• Documentation and analysis of reported incidents and problems
• Coordinating and carrying out root cause analyses and remedies
• Designing, planning and technically executing changes and extensions to existing systems (change requests)
• Coordinating with product development teams and/or development teams on error analysis and troubleshooting
• Site acceptance with customers

Key Qualifications
Technical Skills & Competencies

• Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers (particularly RHEL), including updates, upgrades & troubleshooting issues
• Bash scripting
• Solid experience with virtualization platforms (VMware preferred)
• Experience with various storage technologies
• Experience with networking
• Understanding of clustering concepts
• Analytical skills to localize errors and sources of errors in distributed systems
• Precise and thorough documentation abilities

Personality Requirements & Skills

• Strong professional communication and client-relationship skills, including in critical situations and under time pressure
• You are flexible, self-driven, goal-oriented and structured in how you approach your work.
• You can integrate yourself into a larger cooperation, follow corporate processes.
• Willingness to travel on business trips to our headquarters in Vienna once per week (possibility to use a company car)
