Who are we looking for?

Qualifications & Experience

• 7+ years of experience in backend Java/Kotlin (preferred with SpringBoot, but not mandatory)
• excellent knowledge of Java/Kotlin
• good understanding of full application stack (frontend, backend, mobile, infrastructure)
• good understanding of software architecture and design patterns
• good understanding of automated testing
• good understanding of databases
• good understanding of CI/CD
• experience with implementing scalable cloud applications
• very good understanding of security principles (authentication and authorization, OAuth2, encryption)
• great communication & presentation skills
• experience with mentoring others

Your responsibilities

• planning, development, deployment, and maintenance of various software solutions
• defining tasks and providing time estimates
• writing clean, maintainable code and testing it
• rolling out new features
• analyzing (and reacting) to the results gained from our QA Engineers and user feedback
• collaborating with Product Owners, stakeholders, and other teams
• being able to present your solutions in front of stakeholders and/or a group of colleagues
• proactively communicating with other team members and project stakeholders
• participating in code reviews, pairing, and other forms of knowledge sharing
• continually improving your skills and pushing others to go forward with their knowledge
• working in a cross-functional team

We follow a Tribes and Squads model, with multiple product teams currently hiring Backend Engineers. Depending on your interests and experience, you could be building anything from Sports and Gaming features to player-focused experiences covering registration, deposits, withdrawals, player engagement, and retention. Every squad plays a key role in delivering seamless, secure, and engaging user experiences — and your work will directly impact how we stand out in a highly competitive market.

What The Role Involves

• Collaborate closely with geographically distributed engineering teams to design and implement scalable and robust software solutions.
• Enhance the existing platform to increase the amount of business functionality driven by end-user configuration.
• Enhance system automation across scale, resiliency, and deployment.
• Maintain, enhance, and create common platform components and libraries (AWS, Go, Python, Erlang, Kafka).
• Build on our cloud-native platform, enabling greater use of AWS technology to accelerate delivery, scale, and resiliency.
• Build on our observability tooling and infrastructure to better understand the capabilities of our systems.
• Work with technical and non-technical stakeholders across the organisation to understand and drive requirements and improvements across the platform.
• Lead initiatives and tasks, driving them to completion and championing continuous improvement to enhance team productivity and efficiency.
• Grow the engineering community by building on existing processes and practices.

What We Are Looking For

• A minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in a large-scale production environment.
• Experience engineering high-quality, highly scalable software in an object-oriented or functional language.
• Willingness to learn new technologies (we work with Golang, Python, Erlang, and Elixir).
• A talent for clean coding, simple solutions, automated testing, and continuous deployment.
• Experience working with distributed systems.
• Experience building and improving upon observability.
• A passion for working in the cloud and automation.
• A passion for creating user-centric, data-driven solutions.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS (CloudFormation, MSK, S3, Cognito, etc.).
• An interest in functional programming.
• Knowledge of Kafka.
• Front-end development experience in React or Vue.js.

We're looking for a motivated and experienced
Mid/Senior .NET Developer
to join our team. In this role, you'll design and build the backend systems behind our products – writing clean, scalable code, solving real problems in production, and shipping features that reach millions of users across the EU.

Key Responsibilities

• Write clean, scalable code using .NET programming languages
• Remain up to date with the terminology, new technologies, concepts and best practices
• Review your colleagues' code – and get yours reviewed too
• Participate in defining, designing and creating new product functionalities with the team
• Solve problems in the regular operation of the product in order to improve performance
• Test and deploy – results of your work are quickly visible to millions of users
• Utilize established development tools, guidelines and conventions including but not limited to:

• working with relational databases (MSSQL) and ORM (EF/EF Core)
• writing unit tests
• basic understanding of frontend frameworks, AngularJS is preferable
• experience with DevOps and CI/CD processes is an advantage

Qualifications You Bring

• 3+ years of professional .NET development experience, with deep knowledge of .NET Core / .NET Framework
• Solid understanding of backend architecture patterns, microservices, RESTful APIs, and asynchronous processing
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to tackling challenges
• Familiarity with distributed systems, messaging platforms (e.g. Azure Service Bus), and event-driven architectures
• Understanding of observability concepts (logging, tracing, metrics) and tools like New Relic, Seq, or similar
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to thrive in a team-oriented environment
• Commitment to delivering high-quality, scalable solutions focusing on user satisfaction
