About Spate:
At Spate, we use data science to predict the next big consumer trend in beauty, personal care, wellness & functional food.

Spate was founded in 2018 by Yarden Horwitz & Olivier Zimmer, two ex-Googlers who led the trendspotting division at Google and uncovered trends such as turmeric, cold brew, and face masks. Spate has been funded by the prestigious Y Combinator incubator and Initialized Capital. We currently have :90 clients in the U.S., mainly in the beauty space from direct-to-consumer brands to big names such as L'Oréal, Estée Lauder, Unilever, etc.

As two ex-Googlers with a passion for using data to spot new patterns in consumer behavior, and we have made it our mission to build the world's greatest consumer trends prediction platform of all time. And not just because we want to be trendy, but because we want to help brands get better at giving consumers what they really want.

Brands waste over $200BN every year due to product launch failures and inventory waste. By spotting Turmeric, we were able to tell brands to stop wasting money on kale products and provide consumers with glorious golden milk lattes instead - because that's what consumers want.

How do we do this? We tap into publicly available consumer data (anonymous and aggregated) to identify interesting shifts in consumer behavior.

We are an equal opportunity employer where our diversity and inclusion are central pillars of our company strategy. We look for applicants who understand, embrace, and thrive in a multicultural and increasingly globalized world. We do not discriminate based on race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.

Senior Product Designer

Описание вакансии

About the company

Turning marketing into a market-domination weapon, we created a new category — the marketplace for future customers. Businesses shop for leads as they shop for products in e-commerce: you see everything about a lead before you buy — full transparency, control, and predictable outcomes. We're the #1 lead marketplace in the USA, and we're accelerating.

Role overview

We're looking for a Senior Product Designer to own the experience layer of our product. You design assumption tests, prototypes, and shipped flows that drive outcomes, not Figma decoration, and you attend every customer interview and sketch the next prototype within an hour of the interview ending. You sit inside a product trio (PM + Designer + Engineer) running continuous discovery: one shared outcome, one opportunity solution tree, joint discovery, no handoffs.

We ship continuously; the moment a treatment wins, it goes to 100% of users — no sprints, no batched releases.

Requirements:

5+ years in product design, with at least 2 in a continuous‑discovery environment.

Strong end‑to‑end product designer: UX, UI, interaction, prototyping — not visual‑only.

Shipped at least 5 production experiments where your design moved a real business metric.

Comfortable in Figma + code prototypes.

Has personally run 50+ usability tests.

Can sketch a prototype live during an interview‑synthesis session.

English C1+; your users are American real estate investors, and communication must be sharp and clear.

AI‑first by default — if you are not already using AI to 3x your output, you will be behind our engineers.

High ownership and strong decision‑making in ambiguous, fast‑moving environments.

What You'll Be Doing:

Attend every customer interview alongside the PM and Engineer — no exceptions — and take notes on friction in real time.

Map current end‑to‑end flows (every screen, every email, every SMS, every refund touch) and identify the highest‑friction moments with evidence.

Design assumption‑test prototypes built to disprove or validate the riskiest belief — not to look polished.

Build multiple prototype directions per test so the trio can pick, not just approve.

Run usability tests yourself and bring findings into the next iteration within 48 hours.

Ship winning treatments to 100% of users and kill losing ones publicly.

Pair tightly with engineering — no over‑the‑wall handoffs; you stay in the build until it ships.

Track changes in competitor experiences closely and know what they shipped before users tell you.

Lean into our highest‑stakes surfaces first: the buying experience, onboarding/activation, and trust moments around lead transparency and refunds, with stickiness (whether buyers come back) as the key outcome to move.

This is not for you if

Your portfolio is Dribbble shots with no shipped outcomes.

You hand off to engineering and walk away.

You have never sat in a customer interview.

You call yourself a "design lead" but have only managed people.

You're a pixel‑pusher who doesn't think in flows.

You want the problem fully defined before you're involved — discovery is your job, not someone else's.

What we expect from you (first 3 months)

We don't do long onboarding: access on day one, context in days, a real prototype in week one.

End of week 1: you have sat in on the first 5 buyer interviews, mapped the current purchase flow end‑to‑end, and identified the 5 highest‑friction moments with evidence.

End of month 1: you have designed and shipped the first assumption‑test prototype, built 3 alternative directions for the trio to choose between, and run 5 usability tests on the winner.

End of quarter 1 (the bar): the winning treatment is shipped to 100% of buyers, at least 2 production‑shipped flows are informed by tests you designed, and the trio's interview‑to‑prototype turnaround is established at 48 hours.

Nice to Have:

Marketplace or two‑sided platform design experience.

Background in trust UX (Stripe, Plaid, Shopify, Mercury, escrow, real estate).

Experience with AI‑driven UX (lead scoring, recommendations, chat).

Real estate customer empathy.

Visual identity / brand work with a premium direct‑response aesthetic.

What We Offer:

Impact: Work at the core of a product-led, AI-powered startup where your decisions directly affect business performance.

Autonomy: High ownership, low bureaucracy, and real authority over product direction.

Flexibility: Remote-first culture with flexible hours and async-friendly communication. 4+ hour overlap with Asia/Dubai required for weekly trio reviews.

Compensation: Competitive salary above the market average.

Team: Join a smart, passionate team that moves fast, supports each other, and builds cool stuff.

Time Off: Three weeks paid vacation plus 5 paid sick days annually.

Growth: Unlimited learning policy — paid courses, books, and growth resources.

AI-Heavy Environment: AI is deeply embedded across prospecting, research, and workflows.

Ownership: Real decision-making power and direct ownership of your outcomes.

Location: Remote, 4+ hour overlap with Asia/Dubai

Senior Cloud Operations Engineer

Описание вакансии

Senior Cloud Operations & AI Automation Engineer

What if every runbook you wrote could execute itself, every root-cause analysis could draft its own findings, and every 3 AM page could be met by an autonomous agent you trained — before you even open your laptop?

We run an AI-native community and social engagement platform that powers customer relationships for the world's largest brands. A single outage here isn't an internal inconvenience — it's a headline-level event for a Fortune 100 client. That's the bar. We're hiring a senior operations engineer to hold it.

The Role

You are an experienced, hands-on cloud operator who also happens to be an AI-native builder. You carry the pager, you resolve the incident, and then you do the part most teams skip: you encode what you learned into an agent, a guardrail, or a self-healing workflow so that class of problem never requires a human again.

Your performance isn't measured by ticket velocity. It's measured by the growing surface area of production work your agents can handle autonomously — safely, within policy, with humans in the loop where it matters.

What You'll Own

  • On-call & incident command. First responder on your shift. Triage, resolve, and escalate customer-impacting events. You treat uptime like a personal commitment, not a team abstraction.
  • AI agent lifecycle. Design, deploy, tune, and maintain the autonomous agents that power pre-triage, change validation, auto-healing, RCA drafting, and permanent-fix tracking. When an agent fails, you fix the capability — not just the output.
  • Safe production execution. Deployments, configuration changes, and cost-optimization actions pass through quality gates with tested rollbacks. You pull the lever the instant a change drifts off-plan.
  • Root-cause discipline. Investigate to the actual cause — not the symptom — then close the loop by shipping the prevention. An RCA without a landed fix is incomplete work.
  • Knowledge multiplication. Document every procedure so agents can retrieve it and teammates are never starting cold. In a global async team, unwritten knowledge is lost knowledge.

What We Expect

  • 5+ years in production SRE, DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Cloud Operations roles — real pager time on large-scale SaaS, not exclusively build-and-hand-off work.
  • Deep AWS expertise at scale — multi-AZ, multi-account architectures, production incident management, and infrastructure automation. You've accumulated real operational scars and can narrate them in detail.
  • Self-directed ownership. You run your shift like it's your company. No one assigns your priorities or audits your hours. You spot the gap, ship the fix, and raise the bar — or push back with a better plan.
  • AI-native operating style. You delegate meaningful units of work to agents, evaluate their output critically, and iterate on the underlying capabilities when they fall short. Proficient with modern agentic tooling (Claude Code, Codex, Warp, custom agents) and eager to evaluate new models the day they ship.
  • AWS Solutions Architect – Associate (or equivalent production depth that makes the cert redundant).
  • Fluent English — clear and precise in writing and under pressure on an incident bridge.
  • Shift-based availability — on-call rotations and time-zone coverage are core to the role, not an afterthought.
  • OFAC-clear country of residence.

Nice to Have

  • Published work, open-source contributions, or original tooling in agentic operations or AIOps.
  • Experience with multi-tenant B2B SaaS — community platforms, customer-experience tools, or observability products.
  • Familiarity with modern observability stacks: Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog, PagerDuty, OpsGenie.
  • Azure knowledge alongside deep AWS experience.
  • A documented deep-dive obsession — a hard problem you stayed with long enough to master, inside or outside your day job.

What You'll Gain

Hands-on experience building one of the industry's first truly agentic operations organizations — not reading case studies, but shipping the agents, runbooks, and guardrails that define what AI-native reliability looks like at enterprise scale. You'll leave with skills and stories the rest of the industry is still trying to understand.

Working Conditions

  • Enterprise stakes, startup tempo. Fortune 100 clients and contractual SLAs paired with a small-team operating model — weekly delivery cadence, fast decisions, constant iteration.
  • No artificial constraints on tooling. If the right solution requires more compute, a better model, or a tool we haven't purchased yet, we invest.
  • Fully remote, global team.
