This role is a full‑time position focused on designing and delivering intelligent capabilities for Lenovo’s hybrid cloud platform. The ideal candidate is an experienced Cloud AI/ML engineer who enjoys solving complex problems at scale and collaborating closely with product and engineering partners. The role has an international scope and works in close collaboration with global teams in a hybrid working environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop intelligent features for Lenovo’s hybrid cloud platform using machine learning, data analytics, and generative AI techniques.
• Build and apply models for classification, anomaly detection, time‑series forecasting, and natural language processing across platform use cases.
• Collaborate with product managers and engineering teams to translate requirements into scalable, user‑centric AI solutions.
• Contribute to the full AI lifecycle, including experimentation, iteration, evaluation, and continuous improvement of models.
• Leverage Lenovo’s data and cloud infrastructure to enable data ingestion, labeling, cleaning, training, and inference workflows.
• Implement robust evaluation frameworks to ensure models meet accuracy, reliability, and performance expectations.
• Support deployment of AI solutions into production environments with a focus on stability and scalability.
• Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance on AI/ML best practices and implementation approaches.

Position Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in AI/ML engineering or applied machine learning roles.
• Strong proficiency in Python; working knowledge of Java or Go is considered an advantage.
• Hands‑on experience in at least three of the following areas: data modeling, time‑series forecasting, classification, anomaly detection, natural language processing, MLOps, or agentic AI.
• Experience with data wrangling and analysis using tools such as SQL and Python.
• Proven experience delivering end‑to‑end machine learning systems with a strong focus on data‑driven evaluation.
• Experience deploying, monitoring, and troubleshooting AI systems on public or private cloud infrastructure is highly preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, fluent English reading and communication ability, and a proactive mindset for exploring and applying emerging technologies.

We are looking for an AI Development Lead in the SSG (Services and Solutions Group)! You will report to our SSG AI Offerings Director.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of AI developers to deliver scalable AI platforms and solutions
• Design and develop agentic AI solutions aligned with Lenovo’s strategy and technical standards
• Build end-to-end AI architectures, including inference engines, guardrails, and user interfaces
• Develop and deploy multi-agent systems using LLMs, SLMs, VLMs, and standard frameworks/protocols
• Integrate AI solutions into existing systems, including on-premise and edge environments
• Evaluate and implement AI tools and technologies to improve solution performance and efficiency
• Ensure security and compliance through encryption, access controls, and vulnerability assessments
• Maintain high-quality development standards, drive best practices, and communicate solutions effectively to stakeholders

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
• 5+ years in AI development and implementation roles across domains such as data science, machine learning, NLP, computer vision, or Generative AI.
• 2+ years of experience in developing Generative AI end-to-end solutions, including multi-modal solutions utilizing NVIDIA, cloud-based LLMs, or open-source models (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Llama, Hugging Face, Bedrock).
• Proven track record of managing a small AI team and acting as the technical lead to complete enterprise AI platforms and/or AI solutions in production environments
• Experience with NVIDIA technologies (e.g., GPUs, CUDA, TensorRT) and integrating tools from NVIDIA AI Enterprise in on-premise solutions is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of on-premise and cloud environments, particularly with containerization and scaling using Kubernetes.
• Proven experience in implementing MLOps, LLMOps, or AIOps, as part of enterprise platforms and managing CI/CD pipelines for AI deployment using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, or similar.
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, React, and scripting languages.

The Role

Infrastructure is our bread and butter at Alchemy. As an engineer focused on infrastructure and backend systems at Alchemy, you'll be working with one of the most sophisticated and high-throughput distributed systems in the blockchain world. You'll focus on architecting and building new systems as well as improving existing ones for a platform that supports millions of users globally.

What You'll Do

• Define the vision for the backend infrastructure that supports our developer platform and APIs, and guide the team in executing against that vision
• Design, build and maintain highly scalable and reliable infrastructure, APIs, and services
• Contribute and lead system design discussions, stand-up meetings, and code reviews
• Develop and own best practices for backend infrastructure with a focus on high throughput, high reliability, and low latency
• Debug production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack
• Collaborate with other engineers, technical leaders, product managers, and designers

What We're Looking For

• 10 + years of relevant industry experience
• BS/BA degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• Experience designing, building, scaling, and maintaining core backend software components (experience with API platforms a plus)
• Ability to solve complex design, scaling, latency, or performance problems in high-throughput, low-latency systems in production
• Production experience with Java, Golang, or C++
• Experience in Cloud Native environments, particularly in AWS
• Experience with managed Kubernetes layers like AWS EKS a plus
• Self-starter attitude and the ability to execute new ideas with autonomy
• Know how to find the right balance between perfection and shipping quickly

• Architect & Model Design and build domain models, services, and event-driven applications using the SAP Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP) framework.
