Quality Engineer (Trading Platforms) - Specialist- Energy & Commodities

Job Description
Tremend is looking for a Quality Engineering Specialist who combines strong technical expertise with a leadership mindset and solid experience in trading, treasury, commodities, or capital markets systems.

You will remain hands-on in Python-based automation while defining quality strategies, leading technical initiatives, mentoring engineers, and improving QE practices across complex front-to-back trading platforms. Relevant systems may include Openlink Endur, Orchestrade, or comparable ETRM, CTRM, treasury, risk management, or capital markets platforms.

Responsibilites

• Define and lead Quality Engineering strategies for trading and capital markets solutions.
• Design and implement scalable automated testing frameworks using Python.
• Lead end-to-end validation across Web, API, backend, database, messaging, and batch-processing layers.
• Define risk-based testing approaches for trade capture, lifecycle events, pricing, valuation, P&L, positions, risk, settlements, accounting, and reporting.
• Validate integrations between trading platforms, market data providers, risk systems, settlement systems, accounting platforms, and downstream services.
• Establish automated data validation and reconciliation across front-office, middle-office, and back-office systems.
• Improve testability, observability, failure diagnostics, quality gates, and CI/CD integration.
