Job Description
Publicis Sapient is seeking a
Senior Lead Application Support Data Engineer (Informatica PowerCenter & Power BI)
to provide advanced production support, operational ownership, and incident management across enterprise data and integration platforms.

This role is primarily focused on supporting and maintaining critical ETL, data integration, and reporting environments, with Informatica serving as the core technology. The successful candidate will be responsible for incident resolution, root cause analysis, platform support, change management, deployment validation, and operational excellence across business-critical systems. Exposure to Power BI, MuleSoft, and Automation Anywhere is highly valued, but the ability to quickly learn and support additional platforms is equally important.

The ideal candidate combines strong troubleshooting capabilities, enterprise support experience, and deep Informatica expertise, with a willingness to ramp up on adjacent technologies within the platform ecosystem.

Qualifications
Key Responsibilities
Business Intelligence & Analytics Platforms

  • Administer and support Power BI workspaces, datasets, data gateways, Fabric capacity, deployment pipelines, tenant governance, and REST API automation.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot scheduled refreshes, subscription failures, data availability issues, and reporting performance concerns.
  • Administer Tableau Server environments, TSM operations, extract refreshes, subscriptions, platform upgrades, and capacity management.
  • Support SSRS reporting environments including subscriptions, execution logs, caching, snapshots, and report delivery services.

Data Integration & ETL Platforms

  • Support Informatica PowerCenter workflows, sessions, parameter files, workflow monitoring, and performance troubleshooting.
  • Administer Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS) mapping tasks, taskflows, secure agents, execution monitoring, and integration operations.
  • Troubleshoot ETL failures, performance bottlenecks, source-to-target discrepancies, and data integrity issues.
  • Partner with business and technical teams to validate critical enterprise data processing activities.

API & Integration Platforms

  • Monitor MuleSoft APIs and integrations using Anypoint Platform, Anypoint Monitoring, Splunk, and AppDynamics.
  • Support MuleSoft deployment pipelines, API Manager configuration, runtime environments, policies, connectors, and DataWeave transformations.
  • Troubleshoot integration failures, API performance issues, connectivity problems, and platform incidents.
  • Support CloudHub and Runtime Fabric deployment and operational activities.

Intelligent Automation Platforms

  • Administer Automation Anywhere Control Room environments including Bot Runners, queues, schedules, credentials, lockers, and device pools.
  • Support Agent Automation, AI Skills, AI Agent Studio, AARI, Document Automation, and IQ Bot capabilities.
  • Troubleshoot automation failures, exception handling issues, scheduling problems, and platform performance concerns.
  • Lead upgrade, patching, licensing, and capacity planning activities across automation environments.

Incident, Change & Service Management

  • Lead major incident response and cross-functional war-room activities for enterprise-critical outages.
  • Drive permanent-fix initiatives through structured problem management and RCA ownership.
  • Review, approve, and govern production change requests and deployment activities.
  • Ensure compliance with ITIL, change management, release management, and operational governance processes.
  • Own vendor escalations and coordinate resolution activities with Microsoft, Informatica, Salesforce/MuleSoft, and Automation Anywhere.

Platform Leadership & Operational Excellence

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on reliability, observability, automation, and service quality.
  • Establish operational best practices, standards, and governance frameworks.
  • Lead capacity planning, scalability reviews, platform health assessments, and operational maturity initiatives.
  • Serve as the technical escalation point for complex production issues.
  • Coach and mentor support engineers while improving team effectiveness and technical capabilities.

Required
Skills & Experience

  • 6+ years supporting enterprise applications, ETL environments, or data platforms in production environments.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Informatica PowerCenter and/or Informatica IICS, including troubleshooting, workflow monitoring, incident resolution, and operational support.
  • Strong SQL expertise including query troubleshooting, stored procedures, data validation, and performance analysis.
  • Experience performing Root Cause Analysis (RCA), incident management, and production issue resolution.
  • Experience supporting enterprise platforms operating under SLAs and change management processes.
  • Knowledge of ITIL-aligned operational support practices.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and support new enterprise platforms and technologies.

Preferred

  • Experience supporting Power BI environments, reporting platforms, or business intelligence solutions.
  • Exposure to MuleSoft integrations, APIs, or enterprise integration platforms.
  • Exposure to Automation Anywhere 360 or other RPA platforms.
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk, AppDynamics, ELK, or similar technologies.
  • Experience working with CI/CD pipelines, release management, and deployment processes.
  • Experience mentoring support analysts or participating in operational knowledge-sharing initiatives.

Your Role
At the intersection of commercial strategy and cutting-edge technology, this role is your opportunity to shape how data-driven intelligence powers healthcare decisions across the affiliate. As Manager, Business Intelligence, Data Science & AI, you will lead the design and delivery of analytics capabilities — from executive dashboards and predictive models to AI-powered automation tools — that directly accelerate commercial performance and strategic decision-making. You will own the end-to-end Business Intelligence agenda, integrating diverse data sources to generate insights that matter, and translating complex analytical findings into compelling narratives for senior leadership. Operating with considerable autonomy, you will define priorities, develop policies, and build solutions that position the affiliate at the forefront of commercial analytics in the pharmaceutical industry. This is a role for someone who combines deep technical expertise with strong business acumen and the ability to influence at the highest levels of the organization.

Who You Are

  • You hold a degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, or a related field; a postgraduate qualification in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Analytics, or Business Administration is preferred.
  • You bring 5 to 8 or more years of experience in Business Intelligence within the pharmaceutical industry, with a strong track record in commercial analytics, market research, and supporting Marketing, Sales, and Leadership teams.
  • You are proficient in Power BI, advanced Excel, statistical modelling, and machine learning fundamentals for building predictive and prescriptive analytics solutions. Experience in Python and SQL is a plus.
  • You have hands-on experience developing AI agents, Generative AI solutions, and automation tools — including familiarity with large language model orchestration frameworks and responsible AI governance principles.
  • You demonstrate the ability to integrate and synthesize multiple commercial data sources — including syndicated market data, CRM platforms, digital analytics, and financial data — into coherent, actionable insights.
  • You communicate with clarity and confidence, translating complex analytical outputs into strategic narratives for executive audiences, and collaborating effectively across commercial, medical, and digital functions.
  • You demonstrate AI literacy — including a working understanding of how artificial intelligence technologies function, their practical business applications, ethical considerations such as bias and data privacy, and the governance frameworks that ensure responsible use in a commercial healthcare context.
  • You are fluent in Spanish (native level) and have advanced business-level proficiency in English.

WHERE YOU'LL FIT WITHIN THE TEAM

As a Staff Data Engineer, you are the most senior individual contributor on Coro's data platform. You own the full lifecycle of the work, from translating business requirements into technical designs, through hands-on development, all the way to deployment and ongoing operations. You will take the lead on the most complex engineering problems, write the documentation others build from, and are the person junior engineers turn to when they're stuck. This is not a management role; it's the highest expression of craft and ownership on the engineering team that will include mentoring and peer leadership of junior engineers.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Engineering & Solution Delivery (60%)

  • Define technical architecture for Coro's data platform, working with Senior Architects and Engineering Managers to validate designs, discuss trade-offs, and ensure long-term scalability and performance as the product grows.
  • Ensure data models adhere to best practices in security, normalization, naming conventions, primary/foreign key relationships, indexing, and constraints.
  • Author technical design documents, translate business requirements into engineering specifications, and lead the development team through execution.
  • Personally lead development of the most complex platform components while supporting teammates on advanced challenges.
  • Provide 3rd-level technical support and own resolution of major incidents, driving post-incident improvements.
  • Direct code deployments and maintain oversight of CI/CD pipelines, release management, and operational reliability.

Technical Leadership & Continuous Improvement (40%)

  • Drive innovation across the team — identify emerging technologies, lead knowledge sharing, and champion engineering excellence.
  • Lead technical discovery, POCs, and innovation work streams to validate new tools, architectures, and approaches.
  • Mentor junior and senior engineers, establishing a culture of high standards, continuous learning, and shared ownership.
  • Advise on opportunities to continuously improve speed, accuracy, repeatability, and maintainability through automation and tooling.
  • Collaborate with Bain's cloud and infrastructure team to refine processes, tooling, and operational approaches.

ABOUT YOU

Experience

5–8+ years of experience in the following areas:

  • Serving in a senior technical leadership role, architecting and operationalizing scalable cloud-based data platforms or software products.
  • Designing and building highly scalable Python-based data systems used in production by multiple teams or external clients.
  • Leading, mentoring, and growing teams of engineers across multiple products or work streams.
  • Partnering with senior stakeholders to advise on technical options given time, cost, and resource constraints.
  • Building and operating ETL/ELT pipelines at enterprise scale.
  • Python data tooling: pandas, Polars, PyArrow, DuckDB, or PySpark.
  • Workflow orchestration in code: Airflow, Dagster, Prefect, dbt, or Temporal.

Education

The role:

  • 4+ years of experience in analytics platform engineering, BI engineering, data engineering, data platform operations, platform support, or related technology roles.
  • Hands-on experience supporting analytics platforms such as Power BI, Power Automate, Databricks, Microsoft Azure, SQL-based platforms, cloud data services, or related BI and data engineering environments.
  • Strong understanding of BI and analytics delivery patterns, including semantic models, dashboards, reporting performance, workspace management, data refreshes, access controls, and governed self-service analytics.
  • Experience supporting Databricks or similar cloud data platforms, including jobs, notebooks, compute resources, platform configurations, monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
  • Understanding of data pipelines, ETL/ELT frameworks, ingestion, transformation, orchestration, data quality, and structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data sources.
  • Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions, explain complex platform concepts clearly, and collaborate effectively with business users, analytics practitioners, data engineers, platform teams, and global IT stakeholders.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, documentation, and stakeholder management skills, with fluency in English.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Power BI administration, Power BI Premium/Fabric capacity concepts, DAX, data modeling, semantic model optimization, report performance tuning, and governed self-service BI practices.
  • Experience with Databricks capabilities such as Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, Databricks SQL, notebooks, jobs, workflow orchestration, workspace governance, cluster policies, and cost/performance optimization.
