Role profile

The Post Trade Division in LSEG has launched a Data Transformation program called Concorde. The objective is to have a new, centralised, and secure way to manage Post Trade data on cloud native technology in AWS and Snowflake. The operating model is a federated model with Core Engineering teams based in London/Bucharest and Engineers based in each Business division to lead the implementation of tenancies on AWS, Azure and Snowflake.

About The Team
The Concorde Platform Team is responsible for managing a secure, scalable, and highly available cloud platform built on AWS, Azure, and Snowflake. Our mission is to deliver a strategic Common Data and Reporting solution for clients, members, and regulators by consolidating multiple data sources into a centralised reporting data store.

Key Responsibilities

  • As a Senior Data Engineer for the Concorde Platform Team, you will oversee Snowflake platform health, performance, and overall reliability, including troubleshooting ingestion, transformation, and orchestration issues.
  • You will provide support to platform tenants on Snowflake and Apache Airflow, ensuring smooth operations across data pipelines.
  • Develop and maintain an end‑to‑end testing framework to safeguard tenant flows during platform changes, while continuously optimizing queries and storage for performance and cost efficiency.
  • Automate operational tasks through GitLab CI/CD pipelines and contribute to a consistent, well-managed release process.
  • Document data architecture, pipeline processes, and best practices, and collaborate with the Snowflake team to evaluate and adopt new tools and frameworks.
  • Actively support the release process to ensure consistent, high‑quality platform delivery.

Required Skills:

  • Design and development of automated data pipelines and data structures
  • 5+ years of working with Python Programming
  • 3+ years hands on data engineering experience for data warehouse solutions using Snowflake, SQL or similar
  • Experience using Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration
  • Hands on experience with building CI/CD pipelines using GitLab or similar tools.
  • Experience working with Agile Delivery teams (Scrum, Kanban) and JIRA
  • Ability to build automated testing to test data pipelines
  • Up-to-date knowledge of technology standards, industry trends, emerging technologies and software development best practices

Optional/Nice-to-have Skills:

  • Experience with managing infrastructure using terraform
  • Experience with using dbt for data transformation and modelling
  • Experience with kafka event streaming and messaging

What You’ll Do

  • Review available data sources, access patterns, interfaces, and integration options
  • Assess data availability, quality, completeness, and readiness for prioritized use cases

You will join the OneMIS stream, responsible for management, regulatory & risk reporting, and advanced analytics. We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to design and deliver scalable data pipelines and high performance analytical solutions using SQL/BigQuery, Spark/PySpark, and Python on Google Cloud. This role focuses on building reliable, cloud native data products that enable advanced reporting, analytics, and decision making across the organization.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Build scalable data pipelines: Design and deliver batch and real-time ETL/ELT pipelines across cloud environments to support analytics and reporting
  • Develop SQL and BigQuery solutions: Write and optimize advanced SQL transformations and build performant, cost‑efficient BigQuery data models
  • Develop Python workflows: Implement scalable data processing solutions using Python and PySpark, ensuring maintainable and high‑quality code
  • Design data models and ensure quality: Build robust data models and apply validation practices to maintain accuracy and reliability
  • Build cloud‑native data solutions: Use GCP services such as BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Composer, Pub/Sub, and GCS to build and operate modern data platforms
  • Optimize performance and reliability: Troubleshoot complex pipeline issues and continuously improve compute, storage, and processing performance

What You'll Bring Along

  • University degree in computer science or a comparable qualification
  • At least 5 years of experience as a Data Engineer, building scalable data pipelines and working with cloud-based data ecosystems
  • Strong expertise in SQL and hands‑on experience building performant datasets in BigQuery (or similar cloud data warehouses)
  • Proven experience with Python and PySpark for scalable data processing in distributed environments
  • Solid understanding of data modeling, ELT/ETL patterns, and data quality best practices
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform, particularly BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Composer, GCS, or equivalent cloud data services
  • Hands‑on experience building scalable data pipelines (batch and near real‑time) in a cloud‑native environment
  • Proficiency with version control, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing frameworks

Nice To Have

Summary of the role

We are looking for an
AI Cyber Data Science Specialist
to join our international cybersecurity team.

In this role, you'll be responsible for designing, operating and optimizing graph-based data platforms and AI solutions supporting Equans cybersecurity use cases. The role combines Neo4j Aura product ownership, advanced graph algorithms and data structures expertise, agentic AI architecture performance and reliability management, and hands-on integration of data pipelines across the IT ecosystem. Acting as SLS Data SPOC and Group/Innovation/special projects SPOC, the specialist drives end-to-end business cases, from opportunity framing to measurable value delivery.

The scope of the IT HUB AI Cyber Data Science Specialist role may evolve with the rapidly evolving environment of AI and Cybersecurity.

Key Missions

The purpose of the IT HUB AI Cyber Data Science Specialist role is to apply graph-based AI techniques (with a focus on Neo4j Aura) to support Cybersecurity use cases that require deterministic outputs that genAI only struggles to produce. The role ensures that graph data models provide solid knowledge grounding for agentic AI architectures in the cyber domain.

  • Provide product ownership for the Neo4j Aura platform and associated graph services.
  • Design and maintain data pipelines and models enabling graph analytics and agentic AI use cases.
  • Integrate data pipelines in the graph analytics platform, using ETL or MCP typically.
  • Act as SLS Data SPOC for data pipelines integration when business data is involved.
  • Promote forward-thinking approaches to AI and data, including demonstrating the value of graph approaches as complimentary to genAI and agentic systems for mission critical applications.

Expected Impact:

Deliver high-value AI and graph-based use cases, improve data discoverability and relationships understanding, and create reusable graph and AI assets for Cyber use cases.

Stakeholders and Collaboration

The IT HUB AI Cyber Data Science Specialist interacts with multiple stakeholders across Equans and Group-level organizations.

  • IT HUB AI & Data teams (data engineers, data scientists, AI architects).
  • Cybersecurity teams sponsoring graph/AI use cases.
  • Innovation, Group digital and special project teams if needed (Group/Innovation/SPOC role).
  • Vendor and partner contacts for Neo4j Aura, cloud and AI services.

What are we looking for

Education & Background:

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Data Science, Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years in data engineering, data science or software engineering, including experience with graph databases or knowledge graphs; experience in AI/ML or LLM-based solutions is a strong asset.
  • Neo4j (Aura preferred), graph modeling and algorithms, data engineering (ETL/ELT, APIs), Python/Java or similar, cloud platforms, LLM integration and tuning, observability and performance optimization.
  • Agile/Scrum or Kanban, DevOps/MLOps practices, product ownership basics, documentation and testing culture.
  • Prior experience in a data scientist, cybersecurity role.
  • Experience working in an international, multi-stakeholder environment.
  • Familiarity with secure development lifecycle (SDLC) or MLOps/AI lifecycle practices is a plus.

Skills and Competencies:

A mix of technical skills is required to successfully interface with all data providers and consumers.

  • Good understanding of cybersecurity principles, risk management and security controls.
  • Technical toolbox for data integration, Python programming, data connectors, ETL scripts, MCP servers…
  • Advanced cypher queries to deliver the graph reasoning logic.
  • AI/ML experience for specific genAI integrations, such as model post-training on database requests.
  • Understanding of the value of graph in the AI ecosystem and designing the right tool for the right use case.
