Job Description

• Design, build, and maintain BI reports and dashboards
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into reporting solutions
• Work with stakeholders to define KPIs, metrics, and data logic
• Write and optimize SQL queries
• Validate data accuracy and investigate inconsistencies
• Support data modeling and reporting layer improvements
• Collaborate with Data Engineers, Business Analysts, PMs, and customer-side stakeholders
• Prepare documentation for reports, metrics, and data sources
• Contribute to BI best practices within the unit

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in BI, data analytics, or data engineering-related roles
• Strong experience with Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar tools
• Advanced SQL skills
• Experience with data modeling, data structures, and data warehousing
• Understanding of ETL/ELT processes and data pipelines
• Experience with data cleaning, validation, and data quality control
• Ability to work with large datasets and complex business logic
• Good understanding of business reporting, KPIs, and dashboard design
• Experience working directly with stakeholders to gather requirements and clarify reporting needs
• Upper-Intermediate+ English level

Will Be a Plus

• Experience with government, public sector, healthcare, finance, or other regulated domains
• Experience with Azure, AWS, Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks, or Redshift
• Python or R for data analysis
• Experience with dbt, Airflow, Dagster, or similar tools
• Knowledge of data governance, access control, and compliance-related reporting
• Experience with Agile delivery

Project description

Reporting and Analytics BI team covers company-wide corporate reporting needs. Interacting with internal clients (Luxoft Executive, Engineering and Corporate functions management teams) we build Tableau reporting and data analysis covering different internal Luxoft processes and practices.

Our work is not just to produce dashboards and code, but, together with the business, dive into the essence of key processes and create an advantage for the company in the global market using data-driven decision making. The results energize us to set the bar higher and build best-in-class BI Project.

Our team is around 20 people and looking to expand. We use Tableau / Power BI as the main dashboarding tools and connect MS SQL database where we store most of the data

Responsibilities

BI Reports Development

Exploring the data from corporate systems and development the layer of reliable data sources together with the DWH team

Design & development of outstanding dashboards and performing UAT with a customer

Taking care of technical documentation that really helps customers to understand reports and allows the team to manage the content in efficient way

Release preparation and presenting results to end-users Project management

Take part in regular syncs with customers on backlog prioritization, blockers, and fast-tracks resolving

Take part in collecting and merging requirements from different customer groups Development of data & analytics services

Drive companywide projects like data catalog, self-service BI, glossary etc.

Work on BI efficiency initiatives like access management and design excellence

BI Governance

monitoring of background tasks (extracts, subscriptions, etc.), reports adoption & user's behavior

About the Role

We are looking for a Junior Product Application Engineer **(**Pre-Sales) Engineer for AVEVA solutions to support the sales team, partners, and customers during the early stages of software solution development. The role focuses on collecting technical requirements, preparing initial solution concepts, supporting product demonstrations, and developing clear technical inputs for AVEVA-based proposals. This position is suitable for an engineer who wants to grow in industrial software, digital transformation, SCADA/HMI, historians, operations management, and data-driven industrial applications.

What You Will Do* Pre-sales support: Assist the sales team during the pre-sales stage by preparing technical inputs, clarifying customer requirements, and supporting the development of AVEVA-based techno-commercial proposals.

• Technical advisory: Collect and structure customer needs, process descriptions, existing architecture information, and integration requirements to support the preparation of initial technical concepts.
• Solution adaptation: Assist in selecting and configuring AVEVA software components, estimating basic system architecture, preparing bill-of-materials inputs, and validating technical assumptions.
• New product introduction: Prepare and maintain demo environments, sample applications, presentations, and simple proof-of-concept scenarios for customer meetings, training sessions, exhibitions, and partner enablement activities.
• Documentation and technical alignment: Coordinate technical questions with licensing, R&D, product support, and regional experts when additional clarification is required for solution design or proposal preparation.
• Market and competitor analysis: Collect basic information on customer applications, competitor solutions, and market requirements to help build relevant and competitive AVEVA value propositions.

(External) English Qualifications:
Key Requirements* Higher technical education in automation, electrical engineering, computer science, industrial IT, or related field.

• 1–2 years of experience in industrial automation, industrial software, system integration, technical support, or application engineering.
• Basic knowledge of PLC, HMI, SCADA, industrial networks, and manufacturing/process automation principles.
• Basic understanding of AVEVA portfolio concepts, such as AVEVA PI System, AVEVA System Platform, InTouch HMI, Historian, MES/MOM, reporting, and data visualization.
• Basic understanding of SQL databases, Windows Server environments, virtualization, networking, and cybersecurity principles would be an advantage.
• Ability to collect and structure customer requirements and translate them into technical inputs for solution design.
• Good communication, presentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work closely with sales teams, partners, system integrators, end customers, R&D, licensing, and technical support teams.
• English proficiency at B1 level or higher.
