Описание вакансии

DG Operations, GHVEC
About The Role
We are looking for an experienced
Senior Deployment Project Engineer
to join our ADMS deployment organization, with a clear path toward taking on the
Deployment Team Lead
role.

This position is designed for someone who combines
strong hands-on technical deployment experience with technical and people leadership capabilities
.

During the initial approximately
six-month onboarding and transition period
, you will work directly on ADMS customer projects as a Deployment Project Engineer/Deployment Lead. This will allow you to gain in-depth knowledge of our ADMS solution, deployment architecture, project lifecycle, tools, processes, procedures and ways of working, while building strong relationships with the deployment team and key project stakeholders.

Following this transition period, the expectation is that you will progressively take ownership of the
Deployment Team Lead
role, while remaining close to the technical work and supporting critical deployment activities when required.

This is therefore not a purely managerial position. We are looking for a leader who understands deployment from first-hand experience and is comfortable combining
technical delivery, technical leadership and people leadership
.

What You’ll Do
Initial phase – Hands-on Deployment & Project Leadership
During the initial transition period, you will:

  • Work hands-on as a Deployment Project Engineer/Deployment Lead on ADMS customer projects.
  • Learn the ADMS solution architecture, deployment model, tools, processes and procedures through active project participation.
  • Plan, estimate, execute, document and track deployment activities across internal test, customer test and production environments.
  • Perform and coordinate ADMS installation, configuration, upgrades, patches, hotfixes, licensing and system verification.
  • Support infrastructure preparation, Windows Server environments, virtualization, MS SQL Server and relevant third-party software.
  • Coordinate deployment activities with Project Managers, Architects, Test Managers, PCT, Customer IT teams and other technical stakeholders.
  • Review project documentation such as SoW, RFP and ToC to identify deployment scope, assumptions, dependencies and risks.
  • Support critical project phases including system preparation, cutover, go-live, stabilization and customer handover.
  • Build a strong understanding of current team capabilities, project challenges and opportunities for improving deployment practices.

Transition to Deployment Team Lead
As you progress into the Team Lead role, you will:

  • Lead, support and develop Deployment Leads and deployment team members across customer projects.
  • Provide both people leadership and technical leadership to the deployment organization.
  • Support resource planning, project allocation, workload balancing and capability development according to business and project priorities.
  • Ensure deployment activities are consistently planned, estimated, documented, executed and tracked throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Act as an escalation point for complex deployment, infrastructure and delivery topics.
  • Coach and mentor team members and support their technical and professional development.
  • Drive consistency and quality across deployment documentation, including system configuration plans, handover documentation, system status pages and deployment records.
  • Identify and address deployment-related risks, dependencies, recurring issues and improvement opportunities.
  • Strengthen collaboration between Deployment, Project Management, Architecture, Testing, PCT and other engineering functions.
  • Promote knowledge sharing, onboarding, standardization and continuous improvement across the team.
  • Support critical customer projects directly when additional technical leadership or deployment expertise is required.

What You Bring
We are looking for someone who brings a combination of
technical depth, project delivery experience and leadership capability
.

Ideally, you have:

  • Strong experience in software deployment, infrastructure, systems engineering or technical project delivery in complex enterprise environments.
  • Hands-on experience installing, configuring, upgrading and troubleshooting enterprise software solutions.
  • Experience as a Senior/Lead Engineer, Deployment Lead, Technical Lead, Project Engineer, Solution Engineer or similar technical delivery role.
  • Previous experience in people management, team leadership, technical leadership, mentoring or coaching engineers.
  • The ability and willingness to remain technically hands-on, particularly during the initial transition period and during critical project phases.
  • Experience coordinating technical activities across multiple projects, teams and stakeholders.
  • Good understanding of Windows Server environments, virtualization technologies, MS SQL Server and enterprise infrastructure.
  • Strong understanding of project delivery fundamentals, including scope, schedule, budget, quality, dependencies and customer expectations.
  • The ability to identify risks early, communicate them clearly and drive issues through to resolution.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.
  • Willingness to support international customer projects and travel when required.

Experience with
ADMS, utility software, SCADA/DMS/OMS or other mission-critical enterprise systems
would be a strong advantage, but we are also interested in candidates with relevant experience from other complex software deployment environments.

Who Will Succeed In This Role
This opportunity would particularly suit someone who:

  • Enjoys being close to technology but is ready to take broader leadership responsibility.
  • Has already led engineers or technical teams and wants to move into a larger people leadership role.
  • Believes that strong technical leaders should understand the work their teams perform.
  • Is comfortable moving between hands-on problem solving, project coordination, stakeholder discussions and team leadership.
  • Can build credibility with engineers, project teams and customers through both technical expertise and leadership.
  • Wants to help shape and mature a deployment organization, rather than simply manage an existing structure.

Why This Role Matters
Deployment is a critical part of successful ADMS project delivery.

This role will strengthen our deployment capability by combining hands-on technical expertise with strong leadership. The future Deployment Team Lead will help improve planning accuracy, technical consistency, delivery quality, documentation standards, knowledge sharing and capability development across projects.

The structured transition into the Team Lead position ensures that the successful candidate develops a deep understanding of our solution, projects, processes and people before taking full responsibility for the deployment team.
