Senior Node.js Engineer

We are looking for a
Senior Node.js Engineer
to join the engineering team at Notch, a full-service custom software development company, on our mission to deliver top-notch digital products for global enterprises and tech disruptors.

What will you do?
As a Senior Node.js Engineer, you will design and build scalable backend solutions powering modern digital products for global clients. You will contribute to architecture decisions, solve complex engineering challenges, and own features from development to production.

• Build and maintain backend services using Node.js and TypeScript
• Develop secure and scalable APIs with NestJS and/or Express
• Design and optimize data models using PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and ORM tools
• Implement authentication, integrations, and background workflows
• Ensure high code quality through testing, clean architecture, and best practices
• Own features end-to-end, from implementation to deployment and production support
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable software solutions

The Perfect Candidate For Senior Node.js Engineer

• Strong experience with Node.js and TypeScript
• Experience with NestJS and/or Express
• Solid knowledge of REST APIs and Swagger/OpenAPI
• Experience with MongoDB and PostgreSQL
• Experience with ORMs and migration tools (Drizzle ORM, TypeORM, Liquibase, or similar)
• Strong understanding of software architecture, testing, and clean code practices
• Experience with Docker
• Experience implementing authentication systems (JWT, OAuth, RBAC)
• Comfortable owning solutions in production and working with international teams

• Feature flag management (ConfigCat, OpenFeature)

• Strong command line tool usage (Bash, GNU Make)
