Get To Know Our Team:
The Data department oversees all of Agoda’s data-related requirements. Our ultimate goal is to enable and increase the use of data in the company through creative approaches and the implementation of powerful resources such as operational and analytical databases, queue systems, BI tools, and data science technology. We hire the brightest minds from around the world to take on this challenge and equip them with the knowledge and tools that contribute to their personal growth and success while supporting our company’s culture of diversity and experimentation. The role the Data team plays at Agoda is critical as business users, product managers, engineers, and many others rely on us to empower their decision making. We are equally dedicated to our customers by improving their search experience with faster results and protecting them from any fraudulent activities. Data is interesting only when you have enough of it, and we have plenty. This is what drives up the challenge as part of the Data department, but also the reward.

The Opportunity:
As a
Senior/Staff Data Engineer in CEG (Customer Experience Group)
, you will help design, build, and maintain the data and software foundations that power how CEG Business users serves customers and agents across all contact channels. You will work closely with Product, Operations, Analytics, Operations Efficiency, WFM, DevOps and engineering teams to deliver reliable data pipelines, scalable models, internal tools, and clear insights that improve customer experience and operational efficiency.

You are comfortable switching between
engineering work
(pipelines, data models, internal services, tooling, optimization) and
analytics work
(business questions, dashboards, deep‑dive analysis). You can talk to both engineers and business stakeholders in simple, clear language. At the
Staff level
, you will also shape CEG’s data and tooling strategy, influence cross‑team architecture, and raise the overall engineering and data bar for the team.

What You’ll Do:
Data Engineering

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest, transform, and serve data from CEG systems (case management, telephony, chat, bots, QA tools, WFM, CRM) and third‑party tools and logs.
  • Develop and optimize data models (e.g., warehouse tables, marts, views) that power CEG reporting, monitoring, forecasting, QA, and experimentation.
  • Ensure data quality, reliability, and observability:
  • Implement validation checks, anomaly detection, and monitoring for key CEG datasets and metrics.
  • Work with stakeholders to define and enforce data definitions, SLAs, and ownership for critical tables and metrics.
  • Improve performance and cost efficiency of data jobs and queries (e.g., partitioning, indexing, query tuning, storage format optimization) for high‑volume CEG data (calls, chats, emails, cases, events).
  • Collaborate with data platform and engineering teams to standardize tooling and best practices (e.g., version control, CI/CD for data and services, code review, documentation, runbooks).

Data Tools & Product Development

  • Design and build data tools and internal products for CEG (e.g., self‑service analytics, case monitoring dashboards, alerting systems, investigator tools, QA/review tools, agent performance views).
  • Use languages such as Python, Java, Golang, or JavaScript/TypeScript to implement APIs, data services, and lightweight UIs that expose data in a usable way to agents, managers, and operations teams.
  • Work closely with CEG product managers and operations to translate operational pain points into concrete data tools, from problem framing to delivery and iteration.
  • Apply solid software engineering practices—testing, code reviews, CI/CD, observability—to data products so they are reliable, maintainable, and easy to extend.
  • At Staff level, define and drive the roadmap for key CEG data tools and platforms, ensuring reuse across regions, lines of business, and channels.

Data Analytics & Business Impact

  • Partner with CEG product and business teams to translate questions into data problems and design clear analytic approaches.
  • Build and maintain dashboards and reports (e.g., contact volumes, handling time, quality, customer outcomes, agent performance, spot alerts) that provide reliable metrics and self‑service access to data.
  • Perform deep‑dive analysis to understand trends in contact patterns, customer issues, agent performance, and operational efficiency; identify root causes and propose practical, data‑driven recommendations.
  • Define and maintain metrics and KPIs (e.g., CSAT, NPS, SLA, AHT, FCR, quality scores), ensuring consistent definitions across CEG teams and tools.
  • Communicate findings in simple, business‑friendly language, including clear implications and recommended next steps.

Stakeholder & Team Collaboration

  • Act as a trusted data partner for CEG stakeholders (operations leaders, product managers, WFM, QA, training, policy, and regional leadership).
  • Work with other data engineers, analysts, and scientists to align on data standards, reusable components, and shared datasets for CEG.
  • Mentor junior and mid‑level team members on data engineering, analytics, and software engineering best practices.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of team workflows (code reviews, testing, documentation, runbooks, knowledge sharing, incident reviews).
  • At Staff level, influence cross‑team architecture and ways of working, making sure CEG’s data ecosystem scales with business growth.

Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ years working as a Data Engineer, Analytics Engineer, or Data Analyst in a data‑driven environment (Staff level typically 10+ or equivalent scope/impact).
  • Strong SQL skills (complex joins, window functions, aggregation, query optimization).
  • Experience with at least one major data warehouse / big data technology (e.g., BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift, Hive, Spark, Vertica, StarRocks, or similar).
  • Solid experience with ETL/ELT tools or orchestration frameworks (e.g., Airflow, dbt, internal frameworks).
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language for data and services (e.g., Python, Java, Golang, Kotlin, or JavaScript/TypeScript).
  • Experience building production‑grade data pipelines and/or data services with attention to quality, monitoring, and maintainability.
  • Experience with BI / visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Superset, Metabase, Looker).
  • Strong analytical thinking: comfortable framing business questions, exploring data, and turning results into clear insights.
  • Ability to communicate complex topics in simple, concise language to non‑technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with event‑driven data (logs, clickstream, customer journey, contact flows, tracking data).
  • Knowledge of data modeling techniques (e.g., dimensional modeling, Kimball, data vault, star/snowflake schema).
  • Experience with A/B testing, experimentation platforms, or causal analysis.
  • Familiarity with ML pipelines or working with data science teams (e.g., routing models, QA scoring, forecasting, recommendations).
  • Experience in online consumer products, travel, e‑commerce, or marketplaces.
  • Hands‑on frontend or backend development experience (e.g., building internal tools in React/Next.js, Node.js, or similar frameworks) used by operations or support teams.
  • Prior experience in a Staff or Tech‑Lead role, driving technical direction and mentoring multiple engineers/analysts.

Domain Architect - Dia R&D

Roche

Warsaw

Описание вакансии

At Roche you can show up as yourself, embraced for the unique qualities you bring. Our culture encourages personal expression, open dialogue, and genuine connections, where you are valued, accepted and respected for who you are, allowing you to thrive both personally and professionally. This is how we aim to prevent, stop and cure diseases and ensure everyone has access to healthcare today and for generations to come. Join Roche, where every voice matters.

The Position

The Domain Architect – Diagnostics R&D is a senior-level, key position within the SPG Enterprise Architecture Business Partnering Functions team. This position plays a critical role between the Strategy, Portfolio & Governance (SPG) organization and the Diagnostics R&D function. Reporting directly to the Head of Enterprise Architecture - Business Partnering Functions with a dotted line to the Head of Dia RDT for DIA R&D, you will champion our enterprise architecture practices while deeply understanding the unique complexities of the Diagnostics R&D environment.

Crucially, in our federated RDT model, you will act as the principal orchestrator of the Diagnostics R&D architecture network. By leading this network—which includes yourself alongside all domain and solution architects embedded directly within the Diagnostics R&D organization—you will drive architecture governance and strategy formulation, ensure enterprise coherence, and translate business goals into adaptable, future-ready roadmaps.

Description of the Area

The Enterprise Architecture Business Partnering Functions area serves as the strategic architectural point of contact for business domain leaders, fostering collaboration to align applications, business capabilities, and information assets with technology solutions. For the Diagnostics R&D domain, this involves deeply integrating with teams such as DIA R&D Labs, DIA R&D Computational Science and Engineering, DIA R&D Instrumentation, DIA Clinical Development and Medical Affairs, and DIA Portfolio & Project Management to drive efficiency and innovation with end-to-end accountability. This role ensures that the bridge between SPG’s enterprise vision and Diagnostics R&D’s operational execution is seamless, collaborative, and highly effective.

The Opportunity

  • Strategic Business Partnering: Act as the strategic liaison between SPG EA and Diagnostics R&D. Partner with the Head of Dia RDT for DIA R&D and the R&D DT Leadership team to align business priorities with multi-year roadmaps and target-state architectures and ensure domain strategies are coherent with enterprise strategies
  • Architecture Network Orchestration: Lead the Diagnostics R&D architecture network by shaping and promoting shared strategic priorities. Enable Domain and Solution Architects to execute efficiently while maintaining alignment and maximizing the use of shared principles and platforms
  • Architecture Governance Leadership: Provide leadership for governance activities across Diagnostics R&D in collaboration with other embedded domain architects. Oversee architecture deliverables, technology guardrails, and create alignment on non-functional requirements (e.g., security, resilience). Represent architecture within other Governance bodies (e.g. Portfolio)
  • Critical Program Delivery: Drive the success of large, critical technology programs in Diagnostics R&D. Translate strategy into action and ensure transformative initiatives deliver intended business value while providing architectural oversight
  • Domain Architecture Deliverables: Lead the development and upkeep of core architecture artifacts for Diagnostics R&D. Ensure data accuracy across the standard architecture and RDT toolchain, delivering key outputs such as Capability Maps, Target-State Architectures, Architecture Standards, and Reference Architectures
  • Portfolio & Investment Alignment: Work with Diagnostics R&D Portfolio Management and Functional Heads to embed architectural insights into investment decisions. Evaluate the impacts of strategies, address architectural gaps, and prevent fragmentation by maximizing platform reuse and managing technical debt
  • Technology Innovation & Vendor Evaluation: Monitor emerging technology trends and evaluate vendors to ensure alignment with Diagnostics R&D needs. Stay updated on vendor developments to maintain an effective and future-ready architecture

Qualifications
Education / Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with 7+ years of experience in IT and architecture
  • Deep domain experience within the Diagnostics R&D environment. Comprehensive understanding of the scientific, clinical, and engineering processes (e.g., Computational Science, Instrumentation, Laboratory Operations) that drive diagnostics innovation forward
  • A successful history of contributing as a Domain or Enterprise Architect within a complex, matrixed, or federated global organization

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in designing target-state architectures and evolving capability roadmaps for complex R&D organizations
  • Cloud-native architecture on AWS: microservices, event-driven patterns, API-first design, infrastructure-as-code. Practical experience with multi-tenant scientific platforms, not just enterprise SaaS
  • Data architecture for R&D: lakehouse patterns, streaming and batch pipelines, data lineage, and observability across heterogeneous scientific data sources
  • Regulatory-aware architecture in Diagnostics or Life Sciences (IEC 62304, 21 CFR Part 11, EU IVDR, GxP) — able to meet compliance requirements without defaulting to heavyweight processes
  • Application portfolio rationalization: dependency mapping, decommissioning sequencing, data migration, and the governance to sunset legacy systems without breaking business continuity
  • Cross-domain technical fluency spanning clinical development systems, computational science platforms, laboratory informatics (LIMS, ELN), and instrumentation. Must be able to challenge and align Solution Architects across these domains
  • Knowledge of architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF) as a reference
  • Experience utilizing flexible delivery methodologies to drive meaningful value, prioritizing practical outcomes over rigid process adherence. We value tradeoff analysis
  • A thorough and pragmatic approach to developing sustainable, outcome-driven solutions

Strongly Preferred

  • AI/ML platform architecture: model serving, GPU orchestration, ML pipelines at organizational scale
  • Agentic AI patterns: tool orchestration, agent-to-agent protocols (MCP, A2A), guardrails, and human-in-the-loop design for scientific workflows. Usage of LLMs and SLM in Lifesciences
  • Instrumentation and lab systems integration: edge-to-cloud telemetry, instrument data acquisition, OT/IT boundary in diagnostics
  • Proven ability to govern through influence, reference architectures, and design reviews rather than gate-based control
  • Understanding of Hardware Development patterns

Additional Qualifications

  • Network & Community Leadership: Demonstrated ability in leading and influencing federated networks of architects without direct reporting lines. Inspires and empowers diverse partners to align and act with a unified voice
  • Strategic Advisory & Executive Influence: Builds trust and serves as a trusted advisor to senior leadership and Global Function Heads. Combines business acumen and executive presence to guide strategic decisions and influence senior stakeholders without direct authority
  • Effective Communication: Excels in storytelling, translating complex architectural concepts into relatable narratives. Balances enterprise coherence (ensured by SPG) with the agility and autonomy of local Diagnostics R&D execution

Apply directly and join us in shaping the future of healthcare.

Compensation & Benefits
The expected salary range for this position, based on the primary location of Warsaw Grafit is 280’000.00 PLN - 520’000.00 PLN.
