Software Engineer

We're hiring on behalf of a Haystack partner!

The Role

• Design, develop, and maintain modular components for standard software in controlling, financial accounting, patient management, and HR.

• Architect and implement high-performance business intelligence solutions using Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) and actively participate in group-wide BI projects.

• Model and optimize data warehouse structures, develop complex T-SQL queries, design ETL processes, and ensure the quality and performance of data platforms.

• Analyze large datasets, perform performance optimizations for database-related applications, and establish the foundation for meaningful analytical evaluations and informed business decisions.

• Utilize modern AI-powered development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, or Devin in daily development, participate in code reviews, release processes, and continuously improve development standards.

What You'll Need

• Solid practical experience in developing business intelligence solutions, data warehouses, or database-related applications, with strong knowledge of SQL, T-SQL, MDX, and performance analysis of relational databases.

• A degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable field, combined with a strong commitment to quality, analytical excellence, and a passion for data-driven software development.

• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS), ETL processes, data modeling, and modern development tools like Git, GitLab, and Jira.

• Enthusiasm for AI-driven software development and practical experience with modern tools like GitHub Copilot, Claude, or Devin to enhance quality, efficiency, and productivity.

• Fluent German language skills (minimum C1), good English proficiency, a structured, solution-oriented approach, and enjoyment in collaboratively solving complex technical challenges.
