About this opportunity:
The Application Development Platform (ADP) Framework is the approved way forward for developing cloud native applications within Ericsson, following a modern design pattern (microservice architecture based on containers).

We are looking for a Master Developer to join an international, cross-functional team building and operate a strategic S3-compatible storage service for Ericsson products. In this role, you will combine deep software engineering expertise with a platform mindset to solve complex technical challenges and improve the service’s reliability, scalability, operability and engineering quality. Working closely with the Service Architect and the team, you will help deliver resilient, secure and observable storage capabilities used across multiple Ericsson product domains.

What you will do:

  • Design, implement and maintain high-quality Go-based cloud-native services.
  • Drive improvements in service reliability, scalability, observability, performance and security.
  • Lead investigation and resolution of complex technical and production issues.
  • Partner with the Service Architect to translate architectural direction into robust production-ready solutions.
  • Contribute technical expertise during design discussions and technology evaluations.
  • Drive improvements in CI/CD, test automation, operational readiness and developer productivity.
  • Mentor engineers through code reviews, technical coaching and knowledge sharing.
  • Help adopt modern engineering practices, including AI-assisted development techniques and automation.
  • Collaborate with other ADP teams to solve cross-component and platform-level challenges.
  • Continuously improve the maintainability and operability of the service and surrounding ecosystem.

The skills you bring:

  • Proven track record in building and maintaining production-grade software systems.
  • Strong hands-on proficiency in Go, with the ability to write clean, testable and maintainable code.
  • Deep practical understanding of Kubernetes, Helm, Linux and cloud-native runtime environments.
  • Solid grounding in distributed systems, reliability, scalability, observability and production operations.
  • Experience applying CI/CD, automated testing and modern engineering practices in real product development.
  • Technical leadership maturity, including sound judgment, pragmatic trade-offs and the ability to create clarity in complex topics.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills in cross-functional, international engineering environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to raise engineering quality through reviews, coaching, shared practices and knowledge transfer.

Nice-to-have qualifications:

  • Experience with S3-compatible storage systems such as MinIO.
  • Experience with AI-native software development practices.
  • Experience working on platform products or shared services consumed by multiple teams.
  • Experience contributing to open-source projects or communities.

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Azure Databricks Platform Engineer to design, build, and manage scalable data platforms in Microsoft Azure. You will play a key role in shaping cloud infrastructure, enabling secure and reliable data solutions, and driving DevOps best practices across the platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and manage Azure cloud infrastructure to support Databricks and data platform workloads

  • Build and maintain Azure resources including Resource Groups, VNets, Key Vaults, Storage Accounts, and Azure Active Directory (AAD) integrations

  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates

  • Apply DevOps best practices for automation, deployment, monitoring, and platform reliability

  • Ensure cloud environments are secure, scalable, and cost-effective

  • Collaborate with data engineers, architects, and security teams to support enterprise-grade data platforms

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong experience with Azure Cloud Infrastructure and DevOps

  • Minimum 6 months of Databricks experience is expected

  • Hands-on expertise with:

  • Azure Resource Groups

  • Virtual Networks (VNets)

  • Azure Key Vault

  • Azure Storage Accounts

  • Azure Active Directory (AAD)

  • Proven experience implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates

  • Experience operating and supporting Azure Databricks platforms

  • Solid understanding of cloud security, networking, and identity management

  • Ability to work independently and take ownership in a senior-level role

Nice to Have

  • CI/CD pipeline experience (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar)

  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools in Azure

  • Knowledge of data engineering or analytics platforms

  • Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer)

Role overview

As an IT Engineer at LAT Nitrogen, you will ensure the operational excellence
of our IT infrastructure in the different countries of our operation. Depending on your experience, you will focus on one or more of the following domains (Networks, Servers, Cloud Computing, Active Directory & Infrastructure applications, Databases…) of technical responsibility.
Your role will be crucial in operating, optimizing, and developing LAT Nitrogen IT infrastructure. You will use your skills and experience for evaluation and implementation of new systems.
The role will require collaboration with team colleagues across all LAT Nitrogen locations, experts from our mother company, and external partners.
This global role will be reporting to the Team Lead Infrastructure, and occasional traveling is expected. Part of this role is regular participation in the on-call duty service outside standard working hours.
Key responsibilities

  • Manage daily operations of IT infrastructure (including Security measures), ensuring seamless functionality in Data Centers and in Remote Locations.
  • Collaborate with various IT functions, particularly with IT Service Desk and Desktop Team, to ensure efficient execution of IT processes.
  • Drive and actively contribute to incident management and problem management activities with a focus on learnings and continual improvements.
  • Contribute actively to the development of the IT knowledge base and IT asset documentation.
  • Assess new services, systems, and processes to improve LAT Nitrogen IT capabilities.
  • Implement new infrastructure solutions and coordinate with teammates located in the other company locations, experts of our mother company and external service providers for operations and support.
  • Develop, enhance, document and test Disaster Recovery Plans (DRP) in specific IT Infrastructure areas. Occasionally lead IT infrastructure related projects.
  • Mentor junior engineers supporting their technical and professional development.

What we expect from you

  • Strong involvement in all IT process activities, including IT operations, incident management, service request fulfillment, and change management.
  • Continuous improvement of IT services to ensure they meet the security and efficiency standards.
  • Proactive engagement with external IT providers and vendors.
  • Support in KPI-based IT performance and quality management.

About you

  • Technical expertise (at least two of the following):
  • Networking - LAN, WAN, VPN, Firewalls (Nex-Gen), SD-WAN, NAC
  • Server management – HW, SW (MS Windows, Linux), Data Backup & Recovery
  • Active Directory, Entra ID, monitoring and other applications supporting IT Infrastructure
  • Public Cloud (Azure) services, W365
  • Databases – MS SQL Server
  • Excellent analytical, methodical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively in a multinational team spread across many locations.
  • Relevant IT education, formal education can be substituted through significant work experience.
  • Fluency in English, with additional European languages being a significant asset.
  • Required experience:
  • Engineer: 3-5 years of experience in the defined field of technical responsibility
