StudioWeb is a complex cloud project, comprising multiple services that work together to deliver a fast and stable product to the end user. you'll encounter complex and interesting challenges, from scaling infrastructure to ensuring high availability and performance.

What You'll Do At UiPath

• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code
• Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
• Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to mitigate and address these issues
• Collaborate with teams across UiPath to design and engineer areas of our product and services
• Help establish effective and agile engineering practices.

What You'll Bring To The Team

• 6+ years of experience in a software engineering role, using one or more high level programming languages (C#, Java, etc.)
• Proficient in at least one programming language and its ecosystem
• Experience working with Cloud Systems (Azure preferred, AWS, GCP)
• Strong grasp of object-oriented programming and architectural design patterns
• Very good grasp of multithreading, synchronization, TPL, asynchronous programming
• Deep understanding of data structures (list, vector, stack, heap), algorithms (sort, search, etc.), and associated time/memory complexity
• Broad understanding of their role and function within the overall business strategy, helping drive decision making on projects
• Experience working with globally distributed teams, planning feature development, designing system components, and building engineering roadmap

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with C# or related frameworks is a plus

We are looking for a Senior Python engineer to join our team.

Our client is an established market leader, has been processing over 18 million vehicle claims per year since 2002 with more than 1,000 employees worldwide. In our role as a digitalization expert, we combine AI-based processes and the latest technologies with the knowledge of our automotive experts.

Responsibilities:

• Focus on backend development, designing and implementing software solutions in Python (especially FastAPI) and C# in the field of artificial intelligence and machine learning
• Conceptualize and test scalable applications and services that meet the requirements of our customers
• Work closely with Data Scientists, the DACE department, and other Developers to seamlessly integrate AI models into existing systems and bring them into production
• Analyze and optimize the performance of our AI-Applications to maximize their efficiency and effectiveness
• Apply your expertise and contribute to the continuous development and improvement of our development processes and methods

Requirements:

• Qualification: A degree in IT, physics, mathematics, or a related field, preferably complemented by a computer science degree, as well as three or more years of experience in development with C# and Python
• Experience & Know-how: Solid backend experience, hands-on knowledge of FastAPI and core Python, experience in hosting AI models, as well as a basic understanding of machine learning and SQL
• Personality & Working method: Excellent analytical abilities and problem-solving skills, able to work independently and stay well-organized, good team player
• Technical skills: Experience with Python (NumPy, OpenCV, FastAPI), AWS ML services, DevOps (GitLab CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, NVIDIA Triton), and backend development (REST API, OpenAPI, Swagger)
• Language: Fluent in written and spoken English

Nice-to-have:

• Experience in LLM frameworks such as Haystack/LangChain, PyTorch as well as good in written and spoken German
• C# (Entity Framework Core, ASP.NET Core)

THE ROLE:

In our Software Development department, we build applications in the environment of the endpoint management solution. Our developers accompany the entire software development process and are responsible for the development of various front-end, back-end and web applications. They also contribute to discussions about software architecture.

As a Software Developer Java, you are our specialist in the field of Java and work on projects in back-end mainly.

TASK AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design complex features with large scope and implement them with the team
• Create software architecture proposals for team tasks and discuss them with peers
• Lead smaller development projects or feature implementations
• Process support requests with high complexity and footprint
• Maintain and optimize development and build environment (CI pipelines, release process)

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• University degree in computer science, mathematics, IT or relevant professional experience with qualified technical training
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience
• Expert in object-oriented programming in Java
• Experience in using AI in complete development process
• Proficient in Spring (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Testing) and JPA
• Experienced in service architecture / domain driven design
• Good knowledge of development tools (IntelliJ IDEA, Maven, Git).
• Knowledge of cloud deployment technologies (Docker)
• Knowledge of continuous integration and build & release management
• Defines structures and algorithms himself for new types of problems in existing projects
• Willing to take project responsibility on a regular basis
• Willing to familiarize yourself with new topics and to design and implement new solutions as part of a team
• The development of high-quality code is important to you
