About this Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative AI Framework Developer to join our dynamic team and significantly contribute to groundbreaking AI initiatives within Simcenter STAR-CCM+.

Simcenter STAR-CCM+ is a highly scalable, general-purpose, multi-physics application that provides an end-to-end user experience with integrated CAD, meshing, physics modeling, and in-situ post-processing tools. This role offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of advanced engineering simulation and artificial intelligence.

You will be a core member of our Interoperability team, focusing on developing the AI Agents framework for STAR-CCM+ and integrating Simcenter Physics AI capabilities. This position also involves close collaboration with other specialized teams within the Interoperability division, fostering a truly collaborative and impactful environment. A key aspect of this role will be working with Model Context Protocol (MCP), exploring the integration of Large Language Models (LLMs), and leveraging AI Reduced Order Models to enhance our simulation tools.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Collaborative Development: Work closely as part of a large, distributed, and agile team of developers, testers, and managers, contributing to a shared vision.
  • Software Lifecycle Management: Leverage modern development processes and tools including Jira, Confluence, Git, GitLab, and Bitbucket for effective project and code management.
  • Quality Assurance: Actively participate in peer-based code and design reviews, ensuring high-quality, maintainable, and robust software.
  • Problem Solving: Engage in root cause analysis to identify and resolve complex technical issues, enhancing system reliability.
  • Architectural Design & Implementation: Design, build, and document high-quality, extensible, and scalable software solutions.
  • Codebase Navigation: Navigate and contribute to a large, sophisticated codebase containing hundreds of modules and millions of lines of code.
  • AI Specialization: Drive the development and enhancement of the AI Agent framework and Model Context Protocol (MCP) framework specifically for STAR-CCM+, pushing the boundaries of AI in simulation.
  • Physics AI and AI Reduced Order Model (AI ROM): Integrate and optimize advanced Simcenter Physics AI models, specifically focusing on developing and deploying AI Reduced Order Models (ROMs), particularly those leveraging Geometric Deep Learning (GDL), to significantly accelerate simulation workflows and enhance predictive accuracy.

What You'll Bring:

  • Operating System Proficiency: Strong understanding and practical experience with Linux and Windows operating systems.
  • Core Programming Expertise: Proven programming experience in modern Java and C++.
  • Java Ecosystem Mastery: Facility with authoring, deploying, and managing package dependencies for Java applications in virtual environments.
  • System & Process Management: Experience with process management, output, and error handling on both Linux and Windows platforms.
  • Network & File Systems: Solid understanding of network and file systems, including parallel file systems.
  • Object-Oriented Design: Good understanding and application of object-oriented design principles.
  • Legacy Code Navigation: Demonstrated ability to effectively navigate and contribute to large, established codebases.
  • Version Control: Proficient in using distributed version control systems, particularly Git.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent ability to communicate sophisticated technical issues clearly and present data concisely to diverse audiences.
  • Autonomy & Prioritization: Ability to balance multiple tasks effectively with minimal supervision and mentorship.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Education, and Experience (Nice-to-Have):

  • AI Framework Experience: Direct experience with the Model Context Protocol (MCP) framework and/or practical knowledge of using Large Language Models (LLMs).
  • AI Reduced Order Models: General understanding of Reduced Order Models.
  • AI Agent harness tools such as Claude Desktop, GitHub Copilot, Goose or similar.
  • Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) / Simulation Background: Familiarity with CFD principles and the challenges of traditional simulation, understanding of how Reduced Order Models address these.
  • Full Stack Development: Experience with Full Stack development methodologies and supporting tools.
  • Additional Programming Languages: Familiarity with Python or RUST.

Compensation & Benefits
The primary location for this opportunity is Austria, UK, Netherlands. The applicable salary range for these locations is:

EUR 70,700 – EUR 120,200 (Austria)

GPB 53,600- GPB 91,100 (UK)

EUR 69,100- EUR 110,600 (Netherlands)

This role is eligible to earn incentive compensation. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate's job-related skills, experience, and relevant education/training. Deine Aufgaben

  • Du fungierst als beratende und kompetente Schnittstelle zwischen unseren Kunden und dem agilen Projektteam und entwickelst technologieagnostisch Strategien zur Digitalisierung von Geschäftsprozessen
  • Du konzipierst und entwickelst zusammen mit unseren Kunden maßgeschneiderte, innovative Prozesse und Low-Code-Lösungen (Pega, A12, d.velop, oder andere)
  • Du identifizierst sinnvolle Einsatzmöglichkeiten innovativer Technologien – insbesondere generativer KI – und nutzt Low‑Code‑Plattformen als Enabler, um diese effizient und verantwortungsvoll in die Geschäftsprozesse unserer Kunden zu integrieren
  • Du erfasst fachliche Anforderungen präzise und übersetzt sie in technisch belastbare Konzepte – unter Berücksichtigung gängiger Best Practices und KI‑gestützter Automatisierungsmöglichkeiten
  • Du wirkst aktiv an der Gestaltung und Weiterentwicklung neuer Anwendungsplattformen mit und begleitest die Auswahl geeigneter Low-Code-Tools für die jeweiligen Vorhaben
  • Du unterstützt bei Bedarf die Umsetzung digitaler Lösungen mithilfe moderner Low-Code-Plattformen

Deine Fähigkeiten

  • Du verfügst über mehrjährige Erfahrung in der Konzeption, Beratung und Umsetzung von Digitalisierungs- oder Prozessoptimierungsprojekten – idealerweise mit Low-Code-Plattformen wie Pega, A12, d.velop, Appian, Mendix o. Ä.
  • Dein Schwerpunkt liegt auf Beratung: Du bringst ausgeprägte Kommunikations- und Präsentationsstärke mit und begleitest Kunden souverän durch komplexe Veränderungsprozesse
  • Du beherrschst Deutsch (mind. C1) und Englisch (mind. B2) sicher in Wort und Schrift
  • Du hast fundierte Kenntnisse im Bereich Prozessdigitalisierung, Prozessmodellierung und Automatisierung; Zertifizierungen wie BPMN 2.0, ITIL, COBIT oder Design Thinking sind ein Plus

We are looking for a
Lead AI Agent Developer
to design, build, and operationalize production-grade AI agents, multi-agent workflows, and AI/ML solutions using Python, Azure AI Foundry, Semantic Kernel / Microsoft Agent Framework, LangGraph, LangChain, AutoGen, and Strands SDK. You will work alongside architects and data teams to take solutions from prototype to scalable, reliable production.

This is a fully remote position that offers you the flexibility to work from any location in Armenia, whether it's your home or well-equipped offices in Yerevan or Gyumri.
Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain production-grade AI agents and multi-agent workflows for enterprise use cases
  • Integrate and operationalize AI/ML models and agent workflows into scalable production systems
  • Implement orchestration using Semantic Kernel / Microsoft Agent Framework, LangGraph, LangChain, AutoGen, and/or Strands SDK
  • Implement RAG, grounding, and prompt optimization to improve response quality and reduce hallucinations
  • Integrate agents with internal and external systems via APIs and connectors
  • Design and implement error handling, fallback flows, and escalation paths
  • Perform testing and evaluation of agents and automation workflows
  • Collaborate with architects and data teams to translate requirements into deployable AI solutions
  • Support deployment, CI/CD, and release management (Azure DevOps)
  • Monitor and continuously improve agent performance, reliability, and cost efficiency

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Python development for AI/agent solutions, with solid general scripting ability
  • Hands-on experience building agents and multi-agent workflows with one or more orchestration frameworks: Semantic Kernel / Microsoft Agent Framework, LangGraph, LangChain, AutoGen, Strands SDK
  • Expertise in Azure AI Foundry for building, deploying, and operating agents at scale (hosted agents, agent service, memory, evaluation)
  • Solid understanding of LLM concepts: prompt engineering, RAG, grounding, tool/function calling, hallucination mitigation, and evaluation
  • Skills in API integration (REST APIs, JSON, authentication via OAuth2 / API keys)
  • Competency in designing agent behavior: state and memory management, tool use, error handling, fallback, and escalation paths
  • Capability to collaborate with architects and data engineering teams to deliver scalable, production-grade solutions
  • English proficiency at B2 level or higher

Nice to have

  • Background in Azure AI Services and the broader Azure stack (Blob Storage, Container Services)
  • Experience with multi-cloud agent deployment (e.g., AWS Bedrock via Strands SDK)
  • Familiarity with Model Context Protocol (MCP) for tool/connector integration
  • Knowledge of LLMOps / MLOps: monitoring, evals, and cost/latency optimization for AI Agents
  • Experience with vector databases, retrieval infrastructure for RAG and Docker
  • Skills in Microsoft Graph API integration and delivering in enterprise or regulated/validated environments (e.g., GxP), including governance and observability tooling
