Your Role
As AI Platform System Engineer at Bank J. Safra Sarasin you are strengthening our platform team as a professional and experienced engineer and provide technical engineering and operational infrastructure services to enterprise infrastructure for AI initiatives in close collaboration with several stakeholders.

Your Responsibilities

  • Design and evolve scalable AI infrastructure services optimized for GPU workloads
  • Implement and manage enterprise-grade AI platforms (e.g., Kubernetes, OpenShift) for model inference
  • Operate and maintain high-performance computing (HPC) clusters, including bare-metal and virtual GPU servers
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure incidents across hardware and software stacks
  • Support data science teams with infrastructure provisioning
  • Perform critical infrastructure tasks and participate in on-call rotations

Your Profile

  • University degree (university / FH) in Computer Science
  • 5 years of IT system administration experience, including 3+ years specializing in Linux (RHEL preferred) and strong scripting skills in Shell, Python, and Ansible
  • Deep expertise in GPU topologies and architectures (NVLink, PCIe switching) and container orchestration (Kubernetes, Terraform, ArgoCD). Initial hands-on experience in Prometheus, Grafana, and DCGM Exporter is required
  • Familiarity with ITIL methodologies, combined with a proactive, accountable work ethic. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, effective prioritization, and the ability to deliver results under pressure
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in German is a plus

L3 Load Balancer Architect (F5)
to provide technical leadership and architecture governance for enterprise application delivery and load balancing services. The role is responsible for designing, governing, and optimizing
F5 BIG-IP

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and govern F5 BIG-IP application delivery and load balancing architectures.
  • Provide expertise across LTM, ASM/APM, SSL offloading, ADC technologies, iRules, traffic management, and high-availability cluster designs.
  • Define secure, scalable, and resilient application delivery patterns aligned with enterprise infrastructure standards.
  • Lead architecture reviews, major changes, and complex troubleshooting activities.
  • Act as the technical escalation point for critical incidents and application delivery challenges.
  • Develop and maintain standards, governance frameworks, and operational procedures for F5 services.
  • Ensure load balancing solutions support security, performance, availability, and compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate with networking, security, cloud, and application teams to deliver integrated platform solutions.
  • Produce and maintain architecture documentation, design standards, and operational guidance.

Required Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience designing and supporting enterprise F5 BIG-IP environments.
  • Deep knowledge of LTM, ASM/APM, SSL/TLS technologies, ADC concepts, traffic policies, iRules, and high-availability architectures.
  • Strong understanding of application delivery, network architectures, security controls, and performance optimization.
  • Experience supporting complex incident resolution, root cause analysis, and large-scale infrastructure environments.
  • Ability to translate business and application requirements into operationally sustainable technical solutions.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Certifications:

  • F5 Certified Technology Specialist (F5-CTS)
  • F5 BIG-IP Local Traffic Manager (BIG-IP LTM) Certification
  • F5 Certified Solution Expert (F5-CSE) in Security or Cloud preferred
  • Additional Security, Network, Storage, or Compute infrastructure certifications are advantageous

Language Requirement:

  • German language proficiency at minimum B2 level is mandatory.
  • The role requires the ability to participate in technical discussions, incident coordination, service reviews, change management activities, and day-to-day communication with German-speaking stakeholders, customer teams, operational contacts, and site personnel.

Citizenship Requirement:

  • Applicants must hold Swiss citizenship.

What you will do:

  • Own the infrastructure topics for SAP RISE-managed and internally-hosted SAP systems.
