What You'll Bring

  • You completed a degree in computer science, (business) informatics, or a related discipline with higher-than-average grades
  • You have 3-5 years of relevant experience in IT consulting, in the course of which you implemented transformation and implementation projects in terms of both strategy and operations
  • You also have experience in leading project teams of more than three people
  • You know exactly what the buzzwords machine learning, cyber resilience, DevOps, agile, AI, and robotics mean
  • You are familiar with all the stages of development for successful IT organizations and IT processes.
  • You know exactly how to put together complex business cases
  • You feel particularly comfortable in interdisciplinary teams and global contexts and are flexible and willing to travel
  • You're good at understanding and communicating complex topics in both Greek and English

Role Purpose

The Field Services team is responsible for the delivery of services all over the region for field, fibre and facilities. We cover all technologies (infrastructure, transmission, IP and Voice) and follow structured processes to provide our customers with fast delivery timescales while guaranteeing a quality level compliant with Interoute’s goals of performance and cost effectiveness.

The Field & Facility Engineer is responsible for autonomously delivering the day to day facility & field activities associated with implementation and network build projects, for both internal and external customers.

Key responsibilities

  • To produce, maintain, manage and report upon network build and customer projects
  • Support the development and design of the network and its expansion
  • To carry out network migration activities (outside normal hours, on an occasional basis)
  • To ensure that all design changes, works documents, new network deployment and customer deployments are executed as per design process.
  • To provide local multi-vendor telecom field operations and maintenance services, in order to ensure industry leading service performance.
  • To support and ensure a smooth customer experience in conjunction with the Pre-Sales, Service Delivery and Post-Sales teams for all regional orders.
  • Manage and maintain integrity of data in the EXA systems
  • Ensure projects within remit are delivered to technical standards
  • Support facilities equipment installations for products and customers within assigned sites and perform facilities related Planned Works raised by the Network Operations Centre as required.
  • Act as key Delegate and Escalation partner for Field for the country.
  • Provide training and mentoring to Field team members.
  • Provide support to Pre-sales & Bid management for quotations and large opportunities.
  • Assist with general improvement by providing feedback on snags as well as challenging the process and systems and sharing ideas on ways to develop efficiency.
  • Support the Network Operating Centre (NOC) as needed to maintain facility and network continuity.
  • To ensure good quality network as built design handover to Network Operations.
  • To assist NOC with escalations to local suppliers during service delivery and all operational stages when required.
  • As part of On Call support rota enabling 24x7 cover to fulfil operational activities.
  • Ensure suppliers work in accordance with local safety and security rules.
  • Other tasks as may be required by management

Individual Profile

  • Experience in the field of network build.
  • Delivery of carrier class telecoms network services.
  • Good knowledge of Field, Facilities and Service delivery activities.
  • Project management abilities
  • Self-motivated with good organisational and communication skills.
  • Able to operate in a cross-functional matrix-management environment.
  • Team player.
  • Engineering qualifications ideally degree in Telecom Engineering or equivalent
  • General proficiency with tools, systems, and procedures required to accomplish the job. May need to consult with Sr./Specialist staff members on some technical issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and optimize PV and BESS maintenance processes through maintenance strategy analysis and continuous improvement
  • Monitor and analyze maintenance KPIs, service costs, equipment reliability, predictive maintenance results, and benchmarking
  • Support the evaluation of maintenance contracts, including KPIs, costs, and contract management activities
  • Prepare technical specifications for PV maintenance tenders (minor/major services and resources)
  • Analyze maintenance costs and contribute to budget preparation and cost forecasting
  • Coordinate with local technical teams to identify maintenance issues, evaluate equipment performance, and recommend upgrades
  • Report maintenance activities using the company's designated tools
  • Perform site visits and technical evaluations at PV and BESS plants
  • Provide technical support and research on operation and maintenance matters across renewable energy projects, primarily PV and BESS
  • Support the daily operational needs and projects of the O&M department across renewable technologies
  • Support the operational efficiency of PV and BESS assets through technical analysis and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Perform electrical diagnostics, spare parts analysis, market research, and support procurement activities
  • Ensure compliance with quality, environmental, health, and safety standards, policies, and procedures
  • Participate in sustainability initiatives and promote the company's sustainability goals

Requirements

  • Diploma of Electrical Engineering (Electrical Engineering Departments of five (5) years studies Electrical Engineering in Polytechnic faculties)
  • Experience in BESS or photovoltaic plant maintenance (2-5years highly regarded)
  • Good command of the English language
  • Good command of Microsoft Office tools
  • Ability to identify a problem or conflict, identify potential solutions and analyze the solutions leading to a recommendation for the optimum solution
  • Good communication skills at all levels
  • Be results-oriented, able to meet tight deadlines and produce clear and concise information/ options/decisions to management
  • Based in Athens
  • Valid driver's license
  • Periodical short travel and overnight stays at the locations of the projects
  • Physical ability to walk over rough terrain

As a
Junior Cloud Engineer
, you will assist in the implementation and management/support of Cloud Services to help our clients on their journey to the cloud. You will be assisting in the design of cloud related solutions in addition to analyzing and implementing configuration changes to meet technical requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the technical design process by participating in the analysis of technical requirements.

WHO WE´RE LOOKING FOR?

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience

  • Knowledge of at least one operating system (Linux, Windows)
