What We Do:
Android Automotive OS (AAOS) and AOSP platform development

Android Framework and System Services customization

Android platform migrations and version upgrades

System debugging, profiling, and performance optimization

Development, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Android platform features and services

Software bring-up and validation on emulator, Trout, and hardware targets

Key Responsibilities:
Develop and customize Android platform software across AOSP, Android Framework, System Services, and platform components

Perform root-cause analysis, debugging, profiling, and resolution of complex platform issues

Support Android platform bring-up on emulator, Trout, and hardware targets

Contribute to Android platform migrations and software releases

Participate in code reviews, technical and architectural discussions

Required Qualifications:
Experience developing and debugging Android platform software across AOSP or Android Automotive OS (AAOS)

Solid understanding of Android Framework, System Services, Binder, AIDL, and HIDL

Programming skills in C/C++, Java, and Kotlin

Experience with Git and Gerrit-based development workflows

Experience with Android build systems such as Soong, Bazel, and Gradle

Strong troubleshooting and performance profiling skills using Logcat, Perfetto, Systrace, and related tools

Experience with Android platform upgrades and migrations

Working knowledge of SELinux policies and Android security concepts

Bonus Points For:
Experience with Vehicle HAL (VHAL) and automotive platform services

Contributions to Android, Linux, or other open-source projects

Experience with Car UI Library and Android Automotive UI customization

Knowledge of vehicle communication technologies such as CAN, LIN, SOME/IP, MOST, or Automotive Ethernet

Experience with CTS, VTS, and Android compatibility testing

Experience with virtualization or hypervisor technologies

Experience with Linux, Embedded Linux, Yocto, or BSP customization

Exposure to Functional Safety (ISO 26262) or Automotive Cybersecurity standards

Experience working in ASPICE-compliant development environments
