Job Description And Responsibilities
Back-End Engineers at LotusFlare are replacing traditional business backends with an engagement-centric, dynamic product stack. They are responsible for further developing, securing, and scaling the backend infrastructure to support the platform to handle millions of concurrent API calls. Every engineer is an integral part of our global engineering team and is directly responsible for more than half a million users of our platforms. They are working on mission-critical, highly available distributed systems.

  • Your day usually starts with a daily meeting/standup/quick sync-up
  • Your daily responsibilities include the entire software cycle from developing/testing, to code reviews, and maintaining/managing your code/application on production
  • You closely collaborate with product and other functional engineering teams
  • You take time out of your day to closely collaborate with your teammates, asking questions or providing answers
  • You take ownership of the code you write

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or a related technical field
  • Backend engineering experience is required. We take a language-agnostic approach and primarily use Node.js, Lua, and Scala; however, experience with other backend languages such as Java, Python, Golang, C++, or similar is equally valuable
  • Experience in building secure, scalable web services
  • Experience with distributed systems
  • Experience with RESTful services
  • Good understanding of network stack and HTTP protocol
  • Experience with concurrency, multithreading, or asynchronous programming
  • Knowledge of data modeling in SQL and/or NoSQL environments
  • Experience with (any combination of) AWS, Redis, Kafka, and Cassandra would be a plus

What You'll Be Doing

  • Infrastructure as Code: Utilize Terraform and ARM templates to automate the deployment and management of cloud infrastructure
  • Scripting and Automation: Develop scripts in PowerShell and YAML for continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and other automation tasks
  • Azure Skills: Implement and manage Azure IaaS and PaaS services, ensuring optimal performance and cost management

What You'll Bring Along

  • Bachelor’s degree in Informatics/ or similar field of study/or equivalent working experience is required
  • Minimum 5 years demonstrable experience in a DevOps Engineer role
  • Strong experience with Terraform, YAML, and PowerShell scripting
  • Proficient with Azure infrastructure components (IaaS and PaaS)

What to expect day to day?

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced CloudOps Engineer to help automate, deploy and secure customer facing Cloud solutions using DevSecOps practices such as automation, CI Pipelines and Infrastructure as Code & Security.

You will work alongside Software Development, Product and Operations teams to identify and eliminate constraints in the product life cycle. You will help to develop monitoring and alerting for AWS deployed platforms and software to support sustained and reliable availability of internal and production systems.

The ideal candidate will be someone who is ambitious and not afraid to take ownership, someone with strong technical problem – solving skills and who is collaborative with development teams and has a passion to automate away the mundane areas of development and deployment and will keep up to date with current trends in technology.

You will be working alongside the small, existing team but will be expected to bring additional knowledge and experience to aid the growth and expansion of the company.

The successful candidate must be available for participation in the on-call rotation schedule and occasional travel.

What will you need to succeed?

  • 7+ years’ experience in a similar role (SRE, Cloud infrastructure/DevOps)
  • An understanding of the SDLC process.
  • Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
  • Experience of container technologies (Docker or Podman)
  • Container Orchestration (Kubernetes)
  • Familiarity with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet)
  • Experience of AWS services (VPC, Security Group, EC2, Route53, IAM, S3, AWS-cli)
  • Familiarity with Continuous Integration Pipelines (Gitlab CI, Travis CI, etc.)

Position Overview

We are seeking a Cloud Operations Architect to lead the design, implementation, and management of scalable, secure, and resilient cloud – based solutions. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross – functional teams to drive cloud adoption strategies, optimize cloud resources, and ensure seamless operational performance. You will play a key role in architecting and automating cloud environments to support modern enterprise needs.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Architecture and Design:
