Why this role matters

As a Backend Software Engineer, Golang in the Risk Management Platform team, you will be crucial in developing a mission-critical internal product designed to prevent risks related to payment transactions. This product uses sophisticated algorithms and tools for analyzing data and detects anomalies in transactions to protect company from any kinds of abuses in payment products. You will be involved in developing microservices, integrating with external systems, creating algorithms and enhancing user interfaces of our internal tools.

The role is based in our office in Limassol, Cyprus. In case of relocation, we offer full relocation support for you and your family to make your move smooth and worry-free.

What you'll actually do

  • Build stable, efficient, testable, and reusable microservices in Go.
  • Solve complex performance problems and architectural challenges.
  • Lead the entire life cycle of application or service development, from the concept stage through to delivery and post-launch support.
  • Convey effectively all task progress, evaluations, suggestions, and schedules along with technical and process issues.
  • Refactor, optimize, and improve the existing codebase for maintenance and scale.
  • Document the development process, architecture, and standard components.
  • Review other engineers’ code.

Who We’re Looking For

  • At least 5 years of experience in software development, and at least 3 years of experience in Go.
  • Advanced knowledge of unit & integration testing
  • Qualifications in concurrency or async development
  • Experience using Git & the Git Life Cycle for software development
  • Experience interfacing with PostgreSQL & Kafka
  • Experience using Docker & running code in a Linux container
  • Experience constructing REST-based web services
  • Solid experience with operating systems, networking models, virtualization, and containerization
  • Good understanding of microservices and how to establish context boundaries within software applications
  • Strong understanding of SOLID principles, Domain-Driven Design, Uncle Bob’s Clean Code, and Clean Architecture
  • Ability to use relevant tools & cultivate a DevOps culture
  • Ability to use English for various work & business purposes

  • Assess and implement integrations with third-party gaming and payment providers, ensuring smooth connectivity between external gaming platforms and internal systems.

Requirements:

About the Role

ISAM SECURITIES (EU) LIMITED, a technology company part of iSAM Securities, is responsible for building and maintaining trading infrastructure, risk analytics, and post-trade solutions. The role focuses on managing proprietary Trading Engine as well as MT4/MT5 server infrastructure, client onboarding, and the configuration of proprietary trading and analytics platforms.

The Operations Engineering team ensures stability, performance, and reliability of the trading technology stack, supporting both internal teams and external clients. This includes monitoring systems, handling technical issues, and managing trading platform configurations to ensure optimal execution and risk management. This role is part of a global operations team covering market hours across multiple time zones. The team is focused on automation and eliminating manual recurring tasks to enhance efficiency and reliability.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and maintain Trading Technology solutions for liquidity management and order execution.
  • Configure and support iSAM APEX (trading engine) and iSAM RADAR (post-trade analytics platform).
  • Manage MT4/MT5 trading server infrastructure including symbols, groups through automation tools as well as gateway configuration trade execution rules.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability.
  • Oversee client technical onboarding, ensuring fast and accurate setup.
  • Implement failover processes and active backup solutions to maintain system resilience.
  • Support change management processes, including software updates and infrastructure changes.
  • Utilize automation tools to minimize manual recurring tasks and improve operational efficiency.

Candidate Experience / Skills

  • Strong knowledge of bridge/trading engine technologies
  • 2+ years of experience managing MT4/MT5 server infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with FIX protocol and post-trade data processing.
  • Knowledge of Windows Server administration, including troubleshooting and performance optimization.
  • Experience handling client onboarding and infrastructure setup

Preferred Skills

  • Understanding of risk analytics platforms is an advantage.
