We are seeking a proactive Data Quality Expert to support the early-stage adoption of Ataccama ONE across business units within a leading pharmaceutical environment. In this role, you will not only bring technical knowledge of data quality tools but also play a key role in educating stakeholders on the value of data quality initiatives. You will act as an ambassador for Ataccama ONE, guiding client departments through their first steps in leveraging the tool and helping them understand the business rationale behind data quality rule creation.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Implement data quality KPIs in Ataccama ONE.

  • Troubleshoot technical issues related to data profiling, rule execution, and data monitoring.
  • Document implementation steps, processes, and data flows for audit and operational readiness.
  • Support the handover to operations or data stewardship teams.

Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with Ataccama ONE

Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. Role Summary:
The Data Architect is responsible for the design and evolution of our enterprise data architecture, with a strong focus on reusable data pipelines, data schemas & products, and modern data engineering practices. This role requires an AI-first mindset in data engineering and data modeling activities that enable the business to use data effectively and consistently across domains.

You will partner closely with product owners, data engineers, data analysts, and business stakeholders to:

  • Define and maintain enterprise data models and domain boundaries using traditional and AI-enabled methods
  • Design and govern reusable data assets and data products

Domain Data Architecture

  • Define and evolve conceptual, logical, physical, canonical, and semantic data models across core business domains.
  • Design reusable business entities, shared dimensions, reference data, metrics, and data structures that support enterprise-wide consistency and scalability.
  • Partner with stakeholders to translate business processes, KPIs, and analytical needs into fit-for-purpose data models and semantic layers.

Data Products, Pipelines, and Platform Architecture

  • Define standards for data products, including structure, naming, documentation, versioning, quality expectations, and lifecycle management.
  • Design reusable ingestion, transformation, orchestration, and consumption patterns that scale across teams and use cases.
  • Guide batch, near real-time, and event-driven pipeline architectures while partnering with engineering teams on reference architectures, templates, and production-ready assets.
  • Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, reliable, cost-effective, observable, testable, and operationally sustainable.

Governance, Standards, and Technical Leadership

  • Embed governance, security, compliance, lineage, metadata, retention, data quality, validation, cataloging, and access controls into architecture and design standards.

  • Evaluate emerging technologies and architectural approaches and recommend solutions aligned to business priorities.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • 5-10 years of relevant IT experience, with at least 4+ years in a Data Architect, Senior Data Engineer, or similar role focused on data design and modeling.
  • 5+ years of experience designing and implementing data models for analytics and operational reporting (dimensional, normalized, and/or domain-driven designs).
  • 5+ years of experience building and/or guiding the development of ETL/ELT pipelines in cloud or modern data platforms.
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience with Databricks or similar cloud-based lakehouse platforms supporting enterprise data lakes, data warehouses, and business intelligence
  • 2+ years of experience using dbt (or similar transformation frameworks) including model structuring, tests, and documentation.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with at least one programming language used in data engineering (Python or Scala preferred).
  • Experience using Git and related DevOps tooling (GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket, CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, etc.).
  • Familiarity with modern data architecture paradigms such as data mesh and domain-oriented architecture

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Microsoft Fabric and Azure Data Engineer to join our dynamic Global Data & Analytics Platform team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing scalable data solutions Microsoft Fabric . This role demands proficiency in programming, data model l ing, and data pipeline orchestration, as well as expertise in Azure-specific tools and technologies. Strong soft skills are also essential to effectively manage the data engineering team, collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:

  • Platform Design and Delivery - Design, build and maintain scalable ingestion and transformation pipelines across Microsoft Fabric, including Lakehouse, Warehouse, OneLake and Fabric Data Factory, alongside the existing Azure Data Factory and Synapse Analytics environment.
  • Migration - Plan and execute the migration of existing Synapse and Azure Data Factory workloads onto Fabric, including dedicated SQL pool warehouses, Synapse Spark workloads and ADF pipelines, minimising disruption to live reporting and analytics services.
  • Data Modelling - and Performance Develop and maintain dimensional and medallion-layer data models to meet business reporting requirements, and optimise queries, workloads and semantic models — including Power BI Direct Lake models — to meet agreed performance standards.
  • AI - and Advanced Analytics Enablement Develop and maintain the interfaces through which the Company's AI tooling accesses governed enterprise data, including Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers and equivalent integrations. Ensure that access control, lineage and cost governance are maintained where automated systems rather than individuals are the consumers of data.
  • Software Engineering - Practice Write and maintain production-grade Python, PySpark and SQL. Apply source control, automated testing, monitoring and CI/CD practices to all data assets, using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions and infrastructure-as-code tooling.
  • Data Governance and Security - Implement data governance controls including lineage, cataloguing, classification and access management, using Microsoft Purview and Microsoft Entra ID, ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory and internal requirements.
  • Capacity and Cost Management - Size, monitor and optimise Fabric capacity consumption, managing the balance between workload performance and platform cost, and reporting on utilisation to the Global Data Platform Owner.
  • Documentation - Maintain accurate documentation of architecture decisions, data models, pipeline specifications and operational runbooks to a standard that supports continuity of service within the team.
  • Team Leadership - Act as line manager to junior data engineers, providing technical guidance, mentoring and performance management. Define and enforce best practice for pipeline design, development and maintenance. Act as the point of escalation for complex data engineering issues, and coordinate with the solution architect to ensure the platform meets current and future requirements.

Qualifications
Requirements:

  • Minimum six years' experience in data engineering, with substantial exposure to Azure cloud services
  • Demonstrable hands-on experience delivering production workloads on Microsoft Fabric, including Lakehouse, Warehouse, OneLake and Fabric Data Factory
  • Proven experience migrating Azure Synapse and Azure Data Factory workloads onto Microsoft Fabric within a live environment
  • Strong programming capability in Python and SQL, applied to production systems
  • Practical experience with Apache Spark and PySpark at scale
  • Working knowledge of Azure Synapse Analytics, including dedicated and serverless SQL pools and Spark pools
  • Experience of dimensional modelling and lakehouse architecture
