Overview Of The Role

KX is hiring a Junior C++ Software Engineer to join our development team and contribute to the evolution of the OneTick product line. This role is a great opportunity to start or continue your career in financial technology within a collaborative engineering environment serving a global client base.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development of C++ components within the OneTick platform.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient C++ code.
  • Debug issues and support testing and validation efforts.
  • Participate in performance analysis and optimization activities.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers to understand system requirements and implementation approaches.
  • Follow internal development standards and engineering best practices.
  • Participate in code reviews and incorporate feedback to improve code quality

  • Understanding of fundamental algorithms and data structures.
  • Familiarity with multi-threading concepts.
  • Comfortable working in a Unix/Linux environment and using command-line tools.
  • Good technical English (written and verbal).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Internship or project experience in software development using C++.
  • Exposure to performance-sensitive or low-latency systems.
  • Familiarity with debugging and profiling tools.
  • Interest in financial markets or data-driven systems.
  • Experience working in collaborative development environments (Git or similar tools).

Role Description

Join Wirestock as a Software Engineer and help us build scalable backend services in C# and .NET while managing AWS infrastructure with CDK. Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain scalable backend services in C# and .NET
  • Architect and implement event-driven microservices using RabbitMQ

  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code using AWS CDK or Terraform

About the Role

We are seeking a Data Engineer to join our Data Engineering team and support Wirestock's data infrastructure. This role involves core Data Engineering responsibilities, including building, optimizing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and a structured data ecosystem.

You will be responsible for transforming raw data into actionable intelligence, analyzing large-scale datasets, and generating insights to support internal teams, including product, content operations, partnerships, and executive leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and resolve production data pipeline issues and data quality concerns.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot data ingestion and processing failures using technical logs, system outputs, and internal tools.
  • Manage and manipulate structured and unstructured data formats, including reviewing and authoring complex JSON configurations for data transformations.
  • Perform advanced SQL and NoSQL querying (MySQL, MongoDB) for complex data analysis, integrity checks, and system validation.
  • Utilize AWS services (S3) for data governance, retrieval, and management within the data infrastructure.
  • Conduct deep-dive data analysis to extract actionable insights that inform product and operational decisions.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience in a Data Engineering role.
  • Expertise in relational and NoSQL databases, specifically MySQL and MongoDB.
  • Advanced SQL proficiency for data manipulation and performance tuning.
  • Strong working knowledge of AWS services, particularly S3.
  • Proven ability to read, author, and troubleshoot complex JSON configurations.
  • Proficiency in Python (or similar scripting language) for data processing and analysis tasks.
  • Experience with ETL/ELT concepts and contributing to a modern data platform environment.
  • Solid understanding of data modeling, data structures, and fundamental analytical/statistical methods.
  • High attention to detail, commitment to data accuracy, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.

Nice to Have

  • Basic understanding of Kubernetes and containerized workloads.

The Role
We are seeking an exceptional Lead Engineer to join a small team working on complex data pipelines, AI/ML systems, and cutting-edge software solutions. This role will be responsible for managing technical objectives, providing technical leadership, and maintaining a hands-on approach to development. The ideal candidate will work closely across teams within WorldQuant as part of our business-facing technology organization.

A successful candidate will possess deep expertise in Python development, data engineering, software architecture, and design principles. They should be able to mentor junior team members, conduct code reviews, and drive architectural decisions. Experience with AI and large language models (LLMs) is highly desirable.

What You'll Bring

  • Master's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field from a top-tier institution.
  • 7+ years of experience as a Python developer, with a strong focus on data engineering and AI/ML systems.
  • Expert-level knowledge of Python and its ecosystem, including experience with data processing libraries like Pandas, NumPy, and PySpark.
  • Proficiency in designing and implementing scalable, maintainable, and efficient data pipelines.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Expertise in version control systems (Git), CI/CD practices, and agile methodologies.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of mentoring junior engineers and fostering a collaborative team environment.
  • Experience in the finance industry is a plus but not required.
  • Experience with AI/ML frameworks such as PyTorch, or scikit-learn, LLM, agents or systems of agents is a significant plus.
