Stellenbeschreibung

Das Fachgebiet Cloud & Data Engineering verantwortet die strategische Weiterentwicklung sowie den Betrieb der unternehmensweiten Cloud- und Datenplattformen. Sie entwickelt moderne Cloud-Services, Container-Plattformen und Data-Engineering-Lösungen kontinuierlich weiter und sorgt für eine leistungsfähige, sichere und zukunftsfähige IT-Landschaft. Damit schafft sie die Grundlage für eine effiziente Datennutzung und die digitale Transformation der BVG. Deine Aufgaben im Detail:

  • Du planst, steuerst und optimierst den Betrieb unserer Cloud- und Containerplattformen und stellst eine hohe Verfügbarkeit sowie Leistungsfähigkeit sicher
  • Gemeinsam mit dem Team entwickelst Du unsere Cloud- und Containerplattform kontinuierlich weiter, bewertest neue Technologien, erarbeitest technische Konzepte und definierst Architektur- sowie Betriebsstandards für einen sicheren und zukunftsfähigen IT-Betrieb
  • Release-, Patch- und Lifecycle-Management koordinierst Du eigenverantwortlich und stellst durch System- und Integrationstests sowie Qualitätssicherungsmaßnahmen einen stabilen 24/7-Betrieb sicher
  • Die Administration, Konfiguration und kontinuierliche Optimierung der Cloud- und Containerkomponenten gehören ebenso zu deinem Aufgabenbereich wie die Analyse und Behebung komplexer Störungen
  • Darüber hinaus arbeitest du eng mit internen Fachbereichen zusammen und trägst durch Monitoring, Performanceanalysen sowie eine fundierte Systemdokumentation zur kontinuierlichen Weiterentwicklung unserer IT-Infrastruktur bei

Qualifikation

  • abgeschlossenes Studium* der Fachrichtung Informatik oder gleichwertige Fähigkeiten und Kenntnisse basierend auf einer langjährigen Berufserfahrung
  • mehrjährige Kenntnisse im Betrieb komplexer IT-Infrastrukturen in Azure- und/oder AWS-Umgebungen
  • grundlegende Erfahrung mit Infrastructure as Code (idealerweise Terraform) und Linux
  • Erfahrung im Betrieb von Kubernetes-basierten Containerplattformen (z. B. AKS, OpenShift oder EKS), containerisierten Anwendungen, Docker sowie CI/CD-Pipelines
  • Erfahrung im DevOps-Umfeld sowie mit modernen Betriebs- und Automatisierungskonzepten von Vorteil
  • sehr gute Deutschkenntnisse (mind. Sprachniveau C1) und sichere fachbezogene Englischkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift

Zusätzlich freuen wir uns über

  • Grundkenntnisse bei den Programmiersprachen Python und C# wären wünschenswert
  • Kenntnisse der einschlägigen gesetzlichen und regulatorischen Anforderungen im Bereich Informationssicherheit sowie praktische Erfahrungen mit den Standards des BSI IT-Grundschutzes
  • sehr gute analytische und konzeptionelle Fähigkeiten sowie strukturierte und lösungsorientierte Denkweise, selbstständiges Arbeiten und eine hohe Qualitäts- und Teamorientierung
  • ein kooperatives und agiles Mindset und ausgeprägte Kommunikationsfähigkeit

We’re looking for a Senior Java Backend Developer with strong Java skills and a solid background in distributed data processing. You’ve worked on systems where data moves reliably at scale — whether through streaming pipelines, batch jobs, or both — and you understand the JVM well enough to reason about performance when it matters. You’ll be contributing to open source data platform technology that leading enterprises worldwide depend on to process and manage their data.

What You’ll Do

  • Design and develop distributed data processing components in Java, with a focus on throughput, reliability, and correctness.
  • Build and maintain stream and batch processing pipelines that handle large-scale data workloads in production.
  • Apply JVM performance knowledge to optimize data processing systems under real production conditions.

  • Investigate and resolve performance bottlenecks and reliability issues in distributed processing components.

  • 5+ years of experience in IT roles.
  • 3+ years of experience with Java as a primary programming language.

  • Background in stream or batch processing infrastructure.

Codzienne zadania
📍 Tworzenie i rozwój skalowalnych usług backendowych (Python, FastAPI) napędzających platformę AI.

📍 Budowa i optymalizacja potoków RAG, systemów agentów AI oraz orkiestracja modeli LLM na produkcji.

📍 Wsparcie w tworzeniu infrastruktury chmurowej (AWS / Azure), w tym izolacją wieloabonencką (multi-tenant) i funkcjami serverless.

📍 Tworzenie elastycznego ekosystemu integracji sterowanego przez API oraz zewnętrzne konektory.

📍 Prowadzenie przeglądów kodu (code reviews), dbanie o standardy testowania i mentoring młodszych inżynierów.

📍 Dbanie o bezpieczeństwo systemu (JWT, OAuth2, RBAC, ochrona przed prompt injection).

Wymagania
⚡️ 3-5 lat doświadczenia komercyjnego w backend engineeringu z wykorzystaniem Pythona.

⚡️ Bardzo dobra znajomość frameworka FastAPI (async, Pydantic, dependency injection).

⚡️ Doświadczenie w pracy z PostgreSQL (projektowanie schematów, optymalizacja zapytań, migracje z Alembic).

⚡️ Doświadczenie z systemami AI (LLM, RAG) -> tool calling, function calling, multi-step reasoning, MCP / Model Context Protocol

⚡️ Wiedza z zakresu chmury: AWS (Lambda, S3, ECS, API Gateway) i/lub Azure.

⚡️ Znajomość Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI) oraz IaC (Terraform / AWS CDK).

⚡️ Doświadczenie produkcyjne w integracji API modeli LLM (OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini).

⚡️ Bardzo dobra znajomość języka angielskiego w mowie i piśmie.

Znajomość TypeScriptu (zaawansowany system typów: generics, utility types, conditional types).

  • La maîtrise de l’anglais et la pratique de l’Agilité seront de véritables atouts
