We are currently looking for a
Configuration / Deployment Specialist
to manage software deployments, application environments, and release processes for mission-critical enterprise systems, working closely with development and infrastructure teams.
What you will do...
- Support the build, integration and deployment of enterprise applications across backend systems and client devices.
- Manage and maintain development, testing and production environments.
- Configure, monitor and support software deployment and release management processes.
- Monitor system performance, availability and overall health, proactively identifying and resolving issues.
- Support project teams during system testing, deployment and implementation activities.
- Analyse, troubleshoot and coordinate the resolution of technical issues related to system environments.
- Collaborate with software vendors, contractors and internal ICT teams to ensure smooth deployment and operations.
- Support the deployment and maintenance of Azure-based development environments.
- Contribute to configuration management, automation initiatives and continuous improvement of deployment processes.
Technical Skills required...
- Bachelor's degree (Level 6) in Computer Science, Software Engineering or another ICT-related field.
- Minimum
8 years
of relevant IT professional experience. - At least
3 years
of experience in a similar role. - Excellent knowledge of software deployment & release management.
- Experience working with
RUP
and/or
Agile
methodologies. - Good knowledge of application servers.
- Experience with build and deployment tools, such as
Ant
and
Azure Pipelines
. - Good knowledge of
SQL
and relational databases (RDBMS). - Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (minimum
B2
level).
Experience in the following will be considered as an asset:
- Experience managing
CI/CD pipelines
for complex enterprise applications. - Experience administering and troubleshooting
ASP.NET applications
hosted on
Microsoft IIS
. - Knowledge of
IIS administration
, including application pools, websites, bindings, SSL certificates and authentication mechanisms. - Experience with
Azure DevOps
. - Experience working with
Git-based workflows
. - Knowledge of
Active Directory
, Group Policies, service accounts, and Windows security concepts.
