You have a challenging mission for:

Undertaking the activities for the correct operation, fault management and relevant actions foreseen by the procedures to solve the problems of the entire network during the
24-hrs supervision.

What will you do:

  • Receive, analyze and resolve/escalate any raised problem concerning customer complains or other kind of network failure or outage.
  • Act as the primary interface of the Network Management Centre for intra-departmental and external communications.
  • Execute planned tasks as required by NMC management.
  • Make use of the Corrective Trouble Ticketing System, in order to inform involved parties on Network Faults.
  • Escalate Faults among NOVA technical Departments and external providers/vendors and follow up the progress for the timely fault resolution.
  • Receive, analyze and resolve or escalate trouble tickets from Performance monitoring platforms.
  • Inform Customer Service of problems in the network leading to service outages.

Are you ready to discover the role of a Linux Operations Engineer in Netcompany?
Joining us as a
Linux Operations Engineer,
you will have the opportunity to work from Athens,Greece on international projects for Netcompany, contributing to the
most complex IT solutions of Denmark.
You will oversee sub-projects, conduct daily stand-ups, and report status to customers or project managers. Leadership within your team will be essential, as you will delegate tasks and assist team members. A project manager will support you, enhancing your management and IT delivery skills.

You'll join a high-performing international team, valuing professionalism and collaboration. Our projects include significant IT initiatives for Denmark's state, municipalities, and business community.

As a Linux Operations Engineer You Will

  • Manage one or more business-critical systems, ensure continuous and correct monitoring and ensure backups. This also includes scripting and tuning the platform.
  • Collaborate with other team members on security, problem solving, and process optimization as well as participate in safety testing and incident, problem and change management.
  • Contribute to operation projects such as large-scale technology transitions, including planning, and implementing specific operational tasks.
  • Use a wide variety of cloud tooling to manage and monitor infrastructure.
  • Maintain Linux-based environments for various projects.
  • Work with Kubernetes platforms, Managed containers, and other new technologies
  • Report tasks, activities, and SLA goals
  • Build new environments in a DevOps team.
  • Respond to customer requests, change management, incidents etc. based on ITIL practices.
  • Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and GITOPS with Argo CD
  • Participate in project work, as a part of the development cycle, providing high level of availability of applications and systems based on project and SLA requirements.

  • Coach and guide more junior members within the team.

Qualifications
What would make you a fit for the role:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant discipline
  • 2-3 years of hands on experience as a Linux or System engineer, Operations engineer, SRE, or DevOps engineer.
  • Solid Linux skills
  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
  • Working experience with Kubernetes Onprem, Azure Services
  • Working knowledge of IaC Terraform, Ansible
  • Kafka working knowledge
  • Scripting languages experience (Bash, or PowerShell/ Python)
  • Commitment to staying up to date with new technologies and valuing knowledge sharing.
  • Structured and able to organize your own time effectively.

It would also be a plus if you have experience with:

  • Azure DevOps / GIT
  • SnowFlake
  • Cloudflare or a similar WAF/CDN product
  • Cryptography and TLS/SSL certificate management
  • Computer networks and Internet protocols (HTTP, TCP, UDP, DNS)
