About The Role
Data Intelligence Operations Engineer.

This position is based in Buenos Aires.

What You’ll Do

  • , including Cloud and Big data platform
  • issues to ensure data is delivered accurately and on time for business use
  • Address issues encountered by business users, including but not limited to data errors and logical inquiries

Requirements
Mandatory:

  • 3-5 years of professional experience in cloud operations, with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure.
  • Familiarity with Big Data structure, know HIVE/SPARK/KAFKA technologies.
  • Familiarity with data engineering concepts, including ETL/ELT workflows, data lakes, and data warehouses.
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools, such as Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Datadog.

Nice to have

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience working with Databricks, including cluster management, data pipeline development, and performance optimization.
  • AIOps experience for data platform is preferred.

Personal Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, as the working language.
  • Strong sense of responsibility, and a collaborative spirit with excellent communication skills.

Tus Desafíos

  • Gestión de Infraestructura & Plataforma: Planificar, instalar, configurar, actualizar y administrar clústeres de Red Hat OpenShift (versión 4.x o superior) en entornos bare metal, virtualizados o multi-cloud.
  • Administración Linux & Automatización: Gestionar sistemas operativos Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL 7/8/9) y automatizar tareas de administración utilizando Ansible (Ansible Tower/AWX), Bash o Python.
  • Monitoreo & Seguridad: Optimizar el rendimiento del clúster, administrar almacenamiento, SDN, Ingress, políticas de RBAC, certificados TLS, claves SSH y herramientas de monitoreo (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/Loki).
  • Alta Disponibilidad & CI/CD: Participar en la definición de arquitecturas de HA, backup, DR e integración con Git, Jenkins y Nexus para el despliegue de aplicaciones.
  • Preventa & Liderazgo Técnico: Acompañar a la Dirección y Líderes Comerciales en eventos, asesorar técnica y estratégicamente a clientes y traccionar la generación de demanda para la apertura de nuevas líneas de negocio.

¿A quién estamos buscando?

  • OpenShift & Linux: Experiencia sólida en instalación, operación y arquitectura de Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (v4.x+) y administración avanzada de RHEL 7/8/9.
  • Automatización: Manejo fluido de Ansible (deseable Ansible Tower / AWX) para la automatización de la infraestructura.
  • Networking & Contenedores: Dominio de arquitecturas Kubernetes, SDN, Ingress y Persistent Volumes.

Deseables

  • Background Red Hat: Profesional con experiencia fuertemente ligada a la marca y reconocimiento técnico en el mercado.
  • Perfil Preventa: Capacidad y gusto por el acompañamiento comercial (presentaciones técnicas ante clientes, participación en eventos y propuesta de arquitecturas).
  • Certificaciones: Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift / RHCE / RHCA.

The Job

  • Help define and execute GoFundMe's multi-year payments engineering strategy, building scalable and innovative payment capabilities that grow giving and advance our mission.
  • Lead and develop a team of engineers responsible for building and evolving reliable, secure, and scalable payments products and infrastructure.
  • Partner closely with Product Management, Design, Risk, Finance, Compliance, Operations, and external partners to identify opportunities and deliver solutions that improve the payment experience for our customers.
  • Provide technical and architectural leadership, helping the team make sound decisions that balance scalability, reliability, maintainability, customer experience, and speed of delivery.
  • Lead complex engineering initiatives from conception through launch and iteration, establishing clear goals, managing dependencies and risks, and keeping distributed, cross-timezone teams and stakeholders aligned.
  • Build a high-performing engineering team through hiring, coaching, mentoring, performance management, and career development.
  • Create an environment of strong ownership and technical excellence, empowering engineers to make decisions, solve ambiguous problems, and continuously improve our systems and engineering practices.
  • Establish and maintain high standards for reliability, observability, security, testing, operational readiness, and incident response across payments systems, including participating in escalation for critical incidents.
  • Collaborate across engineering teams to evolve shared platforms and technical foundations, ensuring payments capabilities can support new products, markets, and customer experiences over time.
  • Communicate technical strategy, priorities, progress, risks, and trade-offs clearly to engineering leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.

You

  • Are an experienced engineering leader with a strong background building and operating payments, fintech, financial services, commerce, or other high-scale transactional systems.
  • Have 10+ years of relevant software engineering experience, including experience managing and developing high-performing engineering teams.
  • Have a track record of hiring, coaching, and growing engineers at different levels while creating an inclusive, collaborative, and high-accountability team environment.
  • Have strong technical judgment and experience guiding the architecture and evolution of complex distributed systems.
  • Understand the challenges involved in building reliable financial systems, including data integrity, consistency, resiliency, security, scalability, and operational excellence.
