Apply on the employer's site

Role description

TechnipFMC is committed to driving real change in the energy industry. Our ambition is to build a sustainable future through relentless innovation and global collaboration – and we want you to be part of it. You’ll be joining a culture that values curiosity, expertise, and ideas as well as equal opportunities, inclusion, and authenticity. Bring your unique energy to our team of more than 21,000 people worldwide, and discover a rewarding, fulfilling, and varied career that you can take in anywhere you want to go.

Job Purpose

  • Collaborate with developers to achive high quality product
  • Write end-to-end tests using Playwright
  • Enforce continuous improvement of the release process and performance
  • Ensure the quality of the specification reviewing the objective and the test validating the specification
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using CircleCi and GitHub Actions

Job Description
At the Digital Factory we aim to accelerate TechnipFMC’s digital transformation. We do this by infusing design thinking, agile methodologies and lean principles in our delivery. Through balanced teams (squads), often comprised of Product Manager/Project Owner, Digital Product Designer(s), Software Developer(s), DevOps, TestOps and Data Scientist(s), we unwrap complexity, target real user needs and deliver scalable services.

You Will Be Responsible For

  • Planning – the key to testing in a CI/CD pipeline is to start testing before you get to a release and to do that you need to plan your test-related activities ahead of time.
  • Control – it enables the whole team - not just testers - to own testing. Whole-team ownership of testing is key to TestOps. With it comes the need for control of your entire testing process, including unit testing, functional testing, performance testing, etc. You need to ensure that each contributor is also creating high-quality tests and code.
  • Management - is a critical piece when you’re trying to scale, because you want to catch any bugs that you’ve introduced as soon as possible. That must happen before you commit your code. That means you have to start thinking about how to manage that, and how to move things to an earlier place in that process.
  • Insights - The whole point of continuous integration and continuous delivery is to act on feedback produced by delivering software to your customer quickly. The way to do this is by using insights. More than just reporting on whether a test passed or failed, you need to understand and validate your application’s quality—on a feature or the full application.

You Are Meant For This Job If

  • You have experience with test automation
  • You have experience with Playwright using TypeScript
  • You know how to prepare and implement test plans
  • You understand CI/CD
  • You have experience with cloud platform (idealy AWS)
  • You know how to work in Agile methodologies

Possibility of employment either on a B2B contract or an employment contract (UoP). In the case of an employment contract, the role is offered in a hybrid model: 4 days per week from the Krakow office), with numerous benefits.

Being a global leader in the energy industry requires an inclusive and diverse environment. TechnipFMC promotes diversity, equity, and inclusion by ensuring equal opportunities to all ages, races, ethnicities, religions, sexual orientations, gender expressions, disabilities, or all other pluralities. We celebrate who you are and what you bring. Every voice matters and we encourage you to add to our culture.

TechnipFMC respects the rights and dignity of those it works with and promotes adherence to internationally recognized human rights principles for those in its value chain.

Platform Engineer

Backend Engineer — FastAPI, Neo4j and Databricks (Remote)

WLG

Warsaw

Apply on the employer's site

Role description

Would you like to build the backend behind maritime geospatial analytics, from wherever you already live?

This role sits with an international scientific and technology centre working on maritime research. The work is remote in full, on a cloud based collaboration platform, and it runs from the beginning of September to the end of December. You would design, build and operate the services and data pipelines that carry geospatial and temporal analytics across the platform: production grade APIs and microservices, a graph layer in Neo4j, and data engineering and machine learning workflows on Databricks.

It is hands on, and the ownership is real. You lead features end to end, from technical discovery and design through implementation, testing, deployment and runtime monitoring. You review code, mentor the people around you, contribute to architectural decisions, and say early when something is heading the wrong way.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Designing and building production grade APIs and microservices in Python
  • Modelling the domain with Domain Driven Design: bounded contexts, aggregates, repositories, domain services and a shared language everyone actually uses
  • Integrating Neo4j for graph centred work, including Cypher query optimisation and graph data modelling
  • Building data engineering and machine learning workflows on Databricks
  • Working with geospatial and temporal data: spatial indexing, time series, geospatial standards and tools
  • Keeping services reliable, fast and secure, and watching them once they are live

What You Will Need

  • Advanced Python: clean idiomatic code, virtual environments, packaging, type hints, async and await
  • Production experience with FastAPI and async best practice
  • Solid object oriented design and the common patterns: factory, strategy, repository, dependency injection
  • Strong practical Domain Driven Design, including event driven domain modelling
  • RESTful API design: resource modelling, versioning, error handling, pagination, OpenAPI
  • Event driven systems: Kafka, MQTT or Azure Event Hubs, publish and subscribe, asynchronous task processing
  • Strong SQL with PostgreSQL or SQL Server, and strong hands on experience with Neo4j
  • Docker, a working understanding of Kubernetes, and comfort on the Linux command line
  • Testing and CI/CD: pytest, TDD, and GitHub Actions, GitLab CI or Azure DevOps
  • Secure coding: OWASP Top 10, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect and JWT
  • Excellent written and spoken English in an international setting

Nice to have

  • Microsoft Azure: Entra ID, Azure DevOps, Key Vault
  • Structured logging, Prometheus or Grafana, and OpenTelemetry tracing

Why this one is worth a look
It is remote in full, the domain is genuinely interesting rather than another internal CRUD application, and the ownership is real: you take features from discovery into production and you have a say in how the architecture goes.

Apply with your CV and we will come back to you quickly.
