As a
Data Analyst
within our Business Intelligence team, you will transform complex data into meaningful insights that drive business decisions across multiple departments and markets. You will work closely with stakeholders, BI Developers, and cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy, deliver actionable reporting, and continuously improve reporting processes through automation and analytics.

What you'll do:

  • Analyze Data:
    Collect, interpret, and analyze large and complex datasets using statistical techniques to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities that support business decision-making.
  • Build Reporting Solutions:
    Design and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Tableau. Develop automated reports, alerts, and subscriptions to ensure timely and reliable delivery of business insights.
  • Generate Business Insights:
    Research data, prepare analytical reports, and provide recommendations that help improve operational efficiency, business performance, and strategic planning.
  • Drive Process Improvement:
    Identify opportunities to automate reporting processes and improve data quality, reporting accuracy, and overall efficiency.
  • Collaborate Across Teams:
    Partner with BI Development and business stakeholders to define reporting requirements and optimize database objects, including Tableau cubes, calculated fields, and reporting structures.
  • Support Business Projects:
    Participate in cross-functional initiatives, providing analytical expertise and data-driven recommendations to support business objectives.
  • Ensure Data Governance:
    Handle sensitive and personal data responsibly, maintaining compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements, particularly when collaborating with AML, Legal, and Risk teams.

Overview
We're looking to hire for our Data side of our AI team at Speechify. This role is responsible for all aspects of data collection to support our model training operations. We are able to build high-quality datasets at petabyte-scale and low cost through a tight integration of infrastructure, engineering, and research work. We are looking for a skilled Software Engineer to join us.

What You’ll Do

  • Be scrappy to find new sources of audio data and bring it into our ingestion pipeline
  • Operate and extend the cloud infrastructure for our ingestion pipeline, currently running on GCP and managed with Terraform.
  • Collaborate closely with our Scientists to shift the cost/throughput/quality frontier, delivering richer data at bigger scale and lower cost to power our next-generation models.
  • Collaborate with others on the AI Team and Speechify Leadership to craft the AI Team’s dataset roadmap to power Speechify’s next-generation consumer and enterprise products.

An Ideal Candidate Should Have

  • BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 5+ years of industry experience in software development.
  • Proficiency with bash/Python scripting in Linux environments
  • Proficiency in Docker and Infrastructure-as-Code concepts and professional experience with at least one major Cloud Provider (we use GCP)
  • Experience with web crawlers, large-scale data processing workflows is a plus
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

We're looking for a Senior Data Engineer to build and scale the data infrastructure that powers our business intelligence platform. You'll work with massive volumes of ad server data, CRM data, and a variety of ancillary data sources to power real-time analytics by designing, maintaining, and enhancing pipelines that process billions of events.

This role sits at the intersection of ad-tech domain expertise and modern data engineering. You'll build systems that ingest data from SSPs, DSPs, ad servers, and various other data sources, transform it into actionable insights, and power dashboards that help our internal and external customers optimize campaigns, manage workflows, and drive efficiency and growth for everyone.
