Role description

Salmon is a technology-driven financial company building a banking and lending platform across Southeast Asia, starting in the Philippines.

7M+ app downloads. 2M+ monthly active users. 7000+ partner stores. US$350M+ raised from top-tier investors.

Here, you get real ownership from day one, high standards, and direct communication. You'll work alongside a team that combines deep local knowledge and experience scaling regulated financial companies from scratch.

If you want to solve complex problems at scale and directly impact how millions of people access and manage money, come build with us.

Southeast Asia's fintech moment starts here.

About The Role
The Payments domain is scaling fast across debit, credit, and cross-border, and you'll own the analytics that keep delivery stable and decisions grounded in data.

What You'll Do

  • Work across a growing Payments domain spanning debit, credit, and cross-border payments, with expanding scope in mobile and transaction feed analytics.
  • Partner closely with product and engineering to define and validate tracking requirements for the mobile app interface and transaction feed.
  • Support analytics for new initiatives, including the Daily Banking launch, alongside ad-hoc deep-dive analyses.

What You'll Own

  • Own mobile analytics end-to-end — requirements, monitoring, funnel and drop-off analysis, research, and documentation.
  • Own Transaction Feed analytics for the Salmon App — merchant naming standardization, transaction categorization, and icon mapping logic.
  • Build and maintain dashboards, reporting, and self-serve analytics for Payments products across debit, credit, and cross-border.
  • Monitor key payment metrics and identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Support forecasting and financial reporting for credit products and bills payment streams.
  • Deliver clear stakeholder presentations that turn analysis into decisions.

What Makes You a Strong Fit

  • 2+ years in data analytics, preferably in fintech or payments.
  • Strong SQL skills and hands-on experience with BI and data visualization tools (Tableau, Looker, Metabase, or similar).
  • Understanding of analytics instrumentation and event-based data structures across mobile and web.
  • Experience with mobile analytics — funnels, drop-off analysis, and user behavior tracking.
  • Familiarity with transaction data — payment flows, categorization, and data quality issues.
  • Ability to translate business questions into analytical frameworks and actionable insights.
  • A plus: experience with Amplitude or similar product analytics tools, forecasting or financial reporting, and a fast-paced startup or high-growth product environment.
